Perth/Darwin TripI was born in the year of the dragon and so was my hubby and eldest son. We have celebrated 2024 as it is the year that I have finally retired. Great to have more time now to explore the world. Joolay and I are travelling to WA and NT to qualify for a challenge that requires you to find a cache in every Australian state in a calendar year. Thanks for this cool cache rainbowscjaz

Another cache found for TaurusSix an me on our recent Perth explorations.Yesterday we had ticked off a few of our objectives. This morning we continued that endeavour, finding a geocache in a local government area we had not caches in before. We were now looking for a few more before heading home.We had missed spotting this one a few minutes previous (did not zoom out enough) and so when spotted we doubled back to have a look.We thought we were going to have trouble accessing GZ for we were walking along a fence. Then at the end the fence ended too, solving that problem. We then ventured into the wilds with a care to where we were treading. At GZ the cache was found quickly. We noted we were not being watched from a nearby vantage point (at least not overtly). The container is interesting, we have found very few using that particular method. With the log now marked with our symbols and safely back where it normally resides we headed off with thoughts of the next cache on our minds.rainbowscjaz we thank you for the interesting cache and the adventure of finding it.

Find 1 of 7 on a walk along Blackwall Reach Reserve and back, celebrating our 34th (secret) anniversary. Those dragon years are always significant, it seems. Decided to hop the fence here, but it got its own back by letting out an ear-piercing shriek both entering and departing the area. Nice quick find, good work.TFTC rainbowscjaz!

I wasnt sure how to approach this one. There seemed to be a fence prohibiting entry to the area. After trying multiple approaches, I went back to the road along the foreshore and navigated through the bush from there. Thanks for the hide.

{*FTF*} @ 18:39 with a bunch of others. With the event starting to wind down started to look at where to head for the nights adventures when this new offering popped up.Raced around to GZ and arrived soon after another carload of cachers and just in time for the joint FTF.Great fun cache, have a favourite. Leap Day 2024 started just before sunrise as I headed out the door and down to Mandurah to join some visiting banana benders and locals for an event overlooking the ocean before racing home to get ready for work.Managed to snag a find just before lunch on the way up towards the city for a meeting before making my way to Point Walter for the evenings event. As the event wound down, I teamed up with I C Nothing, Meme28, neva2old, geotrakka with cameos from familysteiner, rainbowscjaz, Leg5 & monkeywand. The night was filled chasing the numerous new caching that had been added to the map in Bicton, South Freo and Munster.By the end of the day, I had managed to collect 9 finds, 2 events attended & 0 DNFs. Thanks rainbowscjaz for placing Leap Day - Year of the Dragon for me and others to find.I added my name to the log at 18:39 on 29/2/2024.This is find number 8135 for me.
