Wagga Wagga short visit November 20124. Day 1. I have noticed how busy the Wagga caching community has been over the past year and have wanted to have a visit for some time. I have several days in the next two months I would like to get quite a few caches on and this weekend was one of them, so it was time for a trip. It turns out it was a hot weekend, but I had an enjoyable time, and after a solid drive straight to Wagga, I was able to cache for about three hours to get the twenty caches I had planned for the day. No DNFs, just one skip due to busyness. There are lots more caches to do and some walks that I might aim for during a future visit. I spent the afternoon and night at Romano's hotel, a great place to relax in the cool and have a nice dinner before heading out for more caching tomorrow and then heading home. Thanks for the cache ADAcache49914.11 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & UMR Stonehenge A#43**Albida**
As we head quickly toward the end of 2023, we decided along with fellow Victorians Suscoe, to make an effort to tidy up our cache finds and the appearance of our geo-maps before we begin setting our goals for 2025. A trip to Wagga Wagga was arranged and we thoroughly enjoyed finding a range of different caches, many very cleverly created by CO's.Day four, and another warm day forecast. So again we focused on geocaches in the morning and then mostly did Adventure Labs in the afternoon, with a few passing caches chucked in for good measure. This was one of the caches we found today as we worked our way around the geo-map.Our thanks to 'ADAcache' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.38454
Suscoe and Phetlern were out and about today enjoying some caching around the town of Wagga Wagga. It was another hot and sunny day with some cloud appearing later in the day.We enjoyed finding a range of caches in some interesting and scenic locations, especially along the river. We used our stickers again placing them on the log sheets of each cache and in a few we had to write our caching names. Thanks to ADAcache for this placement. It was getting pretty warm now.
Found with wazza9 on a drive around with baby&Mrs gopher. Stamped log and replaced. Thanks to CO
#6651.I was in Wagga for the day and had some time to kill. I decided to make use of the opportunity to find a couple of caches. I would love to do the whole trail at some stage, but I think I will attempt it with the mountain bike. This cache was very quickly spotted as it was pretty exposed. After the admin was completed, I replaced it a little more out of sight. TFTC!
13810. Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 0920. SL as we were picking up rubbish for the nearby CITO. SL Tnx ADAcache.
The only no -Queen ca he I managed to find. A few DNFs and two swooping magpies spoiled the party. But Ill be back.
Reperio 14:00Day 3 of our Wagga Wagga trip, and Master Vitruvius and I started the day out with a FTF, followed by a drive out to Uranquinty and The Rock. Mostly every cache was found in good condition, and for the third day in a row, had a fantastic day out caching. Finally a day I could go Geocaching as well as do some much needed shopping. Last night I saw all these new caches pop up and so after an early-ish start today, I was off to see what I could get. It also gave me a great start to the Cosmic Quest challenge. I started with finding the new caches along the river which was a very nice walk except for the mud. One of them was a FTF. After finding them, I headed over to the new caches along the Red Hill bike track. I did the first one and noticed The Drovers had already found it. So I missed quite a few and spotted them searching for #8. I joined the search and soon it was spotted. So three (8, 9 & 10) joint FTFs as we teamed up for the rest of the trail. Then we headed off to another cache which just as we arrived Roostaman showed up as well. Another search at that one and the joint FTF was claimed. We headed off our separate ways. I headed off for some lunch. After lunch I returned for the rest of the RHBT trail and found them all. Today, I ended up with 20 finds and five of them were FTFs. A couple of FPs have been awarded. To finish the day, I headed into Wagga for some shopping and then home. TB visit. A big thanks to the CO for adding this cache to game for the Geocaching community to enjoy. TFTCs!
The kings Birthday long weekend gave me the opportunity to head away and do a few caches and catch up with good caching friends. The weather was a nice for winter. This is one of the caches found today. Thanks ADAcache for the cache.
Today dawned as a very overcast and cool day with a slight breeze. We decided to head off in the morning and look for some newer caches on the trails around where we were staying. We ended up getting sidetracked a bit but still managed to find quite a number. In the afternoon we headed south out of town to look for some solved puzzles and a few others that looked interesting. A number were tree-fishing caches but we thought we were organized this time as we had a couple of TOTTs with us. This proved wrong as our TOTTs were not up to the task. We did manage a couple though!Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache ADAcache.**SKI Pair****
I'm in Wagga for a couple of days visiting family but can always find time for caching. A great place for a walk and a quick find today. TFTC
After a Dnf a few weeks back we decided to do a few caches that we seen had now been checked ) or fixed up . We can now log this as a find. Didn't take long to find this one, a cooler day must mean everyone is snuggled up inside because we did not pass a single person on the track between this cache and the Wagga beach.
Found by Aussie Train Driver 12/05/2024, find number 1769.Out for a short stroll before starting work this afternoon and I headed in this direction to turn this one into a smiley. With GZ pretty exposed (and being a Sunday afternoon) I was a bit worried about muggles, but after a few went past I had the area to myself for a quick find. TFTC!
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 1 - Canberra to Lockhart via Wagga. After plenty of days putting more and more stuff in the van and car, I eventually decided I had everything and set off at a reasonable morning time for this planned journey. I went to Wagga first, where there was a DNF to avenge and then lunch. I did some labs, bought fuel at the last cheap fuel station I know of and proceeded to Lockhart. Once I had the van installed at the van park I went on to Boree Creek, which is not on tomorrows track. The evening was in Lockhart and I will head towards Deniliquin and beyond tomorrow. I thought I would come around this end of the Wiradjui trail as there were three caches in close proximity. Unfortunately I fell at the first hurdle and failed to locate this one. If it was supposed to be in the obvious spot, then I fear it is gone, if it was somewhere else, you beat me. Thanks.Albida
Wagga >Day 2 staying at Wilks ParkWe had our car booked in for a service. Bill road his bike to a few & I walked the rest.A nice wat to visit the town. Thanks ADAcache for hiding this cache.
After a quick run with the smallest and fluffiest over at the nearby WLTDO-Cache, we took a short stroll to the Wiradjuri Trail to find this portal. TFTC ADA.
