The title told me what to expect because the maps showed no bridge or path over here.I parked nearby and wandered the necessary 75m over. I was just appearing as the same dog walking muggles caught up across the road. They must have wondered about me being in such odd places at both locations. A quick find as I've seen this type before but not in this type of location. It blended in well and was a good use of it. Thanks for another Milldale find
**20,746**After a few hours of sleep we were up and moving, to work on clearing at least some of these new caches in the area. This is a great bridge, hope it gets lots of use by the fortunate locals. Cache a nice quick find. TFTC
Out for a ladies day caching with Supernannny and Net61 targeting the North Shore. A nice quick park and grab here on our way to a local cafe for lunch. TFTC
Out today for a longish session of geocaching with the girls....Has been many weeks since we have got out together; ...as we have all had busy family times and other trips away. It's funny, as gorby has said, that this bridge doesn't show on the map!Anyway, we made short work of the good find here! Many thanks again, TWS, for all your work in placing so many new caches.
I came up to Silverdale area on the bus, to get 2 possible FTF's, and I ended up bumping into Team Welsh at the first of them, so after a joint find there, we are finding a few more caches to round out the morning, and TW will drop me back to Silverdale station. I haven't seen this area before, and if I have then it's changed beyond recognition, both me and my chauffeur were staggered the amount of houses going up, they might as well be all joined together, they are so close, no privacy, if you snore in bed, all your neighbours will be telling you about it! This bridge is not even on Google Earth yet, (foto added), the cache looks like it's in the mangroves as such, but thankfully there IS a bridge here and the cache was soon found. I did the honours of signing us in and we carried on south-ish. Thanks TWS!
I was playing chauffeur today and this was our next closest unfound cache. Gorby did the honors here. So much development going on around this area.
Avoyager picked me up to grab a couple of FTFs in the area so we stopped to get a some others that were close by as well. A muggle was on her phone nearby and watching us so I provided the distraction while AV did the honours
At least there was decent parking nearby so parked up & wandered over to gz. Checked a few spots before spotting the right spot. [TFTC]
Thankfully the torrential rain eased to something less fearsome as I headed to the bridge. Initially the GPS was a bit slow and had me halfway across this nice bridge before it settled down, and I soon had cache in hand. Thanks for bringing here for a nosy around this new area.
My first visit to this new area being developed. Quickly found what I needed. Tftc
I was sat deciding on a list for today when I noticed a green spot in the middle of my smilies. A new cache just released into the wild. Could I do the school drop off and still be first there? Would it take an hour to get out of Glenvar Road? Is that why there are bollards on Vaughn's Road?In thd end I took the dog for a walk, went home and had a coffee. A quick check and it still hadn't been logged, so I grabbed my dad and jumped in the car. Was foiled by the divided roads around here but spotted the bridge and parked up. Left my dad behind me and sprinted as only a middle aged woman who can't find her sports bra could do. Spotted the cache but didn't spot all of the cobwebs in the way.Who cares about cobwebs though, the log was blank and I added my signature. I'm now sat in Orewa library using their WiFi to log it so nobody throws a wobbler when they get there eating my dust!!
So close to me and Im out of action as Ive just had major surgery! Oh well, congrats Flossie
