11:49am.Council worker lolly-gagging by the tree as I approached.I turned on my heels and swiftly departed.Shall return at a later date.Much Obliged, - Alephroom.
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 13851. One of those days today with a number of DNFs it was nice to finally make a find. A quick climb here today before lunch. Thanks ozbuckeye for the cache.
After an epic kayaking day yesterday, it was nice to take things a bit slower today driving around finding caches of interest on the way home with Lee737 and Samuel 737, a nice quick find here and Samuel did the honours of the climb, with a great catch and throw to return the cache back to it's rightful spot. thanks for the cache ozbuckeye tnln replaced as found sl
#8379After an epic day out yesterday paddling the Colo River were heading home across Sydney, stopping for interesting caches as we go. We were with Mighty Minions, chasing reasonable D:T's and trigs amongst other cache criteria, and detoured our way from Colo to Box Hill and then home through Galston and the gorge - very interesting towing a trailer! A great day out in great weather for 23 finds including a trio of trigs - and no DNFs!Samuel monkeyed up today, and did an Allan-Border-esque catch of the bison after we signed it at ground level.TFTC!
#8378OCW Mighty MinionsAfter yesterdays massive day around the Colo river, with about 55 kayak caches, today were just cruising through North-Western Sydney, grabbing a bunch of good DTs and types.Another beautiful day and a bunch of great caches! end of copy paste Have been meaning to do this one for the longest time, I wish we could've done it in it's original state, but this will have to do Parked across a couple of spots with the trailer, very lucky that we got them as there was some form of markets in the building nearby and the carpark was PACKED. Wandered over to the tree and spotted the bison from a distance. I made the climb up with the others watching and threw the container down for signing, and a beautiful throw (and catch on my part had it back up top. TNLN SL, Replaced as found FPThanks for placing and maintaining this cache ozbuckeye
Met up with TARDIS 0061 before the Coffee, Cakes and Conundrums event tonight. Arrived to an overfilled carpark full of evening soccer training kids and parents. Having the car packed with multiple height TOTTs, we decided to go investigate GZ and possibly come back after the event. On arriving at GZ it was relatively dark and away from all the action and the first branch was within easy reach...so up we went! Quickly made our way up to the cache level and with the cache in hand we signed the log in situ before replacing as found. Thanks for the cache ozbuckeye. The following TBs came through for the mileage: Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Mary Hyde's Treasure, Stuart geoMinion, teamMerlin's 7 Deadly Ducks Tag (Lust), Vanlith The Youngling, Hidden Creatures Geocoin TB, teamMerlin's Football
I must have visited this locale 4 times over the past 2-3 weeks in a attempt to collect this fine offering, only to be thwarted by masses of football/soccer players and fans at all hours of the day and night. Surely there would not be the throngs there at 7am on a public holiday this morning. And so it was, although there were a few outdoor gymers and and a couple of soccer players with 20 odd balls strewn across the field. I donned the flouro vest as camouflage and off I went with ladder looking all official. The climb is straight forward although I did need a few contortions to reach my goal. With log signed and cold hands, I duly dropped the container, so had to make the trip down and back up again, before securing the log and container back in its rightful place.Nice job, although I am disappointed I did not get to witness the initial container. Gets a fave, just for being a challenging local cache in a number of ways.SL TFTC
Replaced the birdhouse now for a bison tube. Hopefully less obvious to the muggle.
Checked up on this after receiving a report that it could be missing. It is indeed. I guess my bold strategy of a birdhouse in plain sight didnt workIll keep the same spot and replace with bison I imagine.
Super fun climb that I did pretty easily. Very good container, love these. Becoming one of my favourite series in Sydney! Keep it up! TFTC
Working my way to Canberra for the four day mega event. Meeting up people along the way and doing a few caches of my own. I got a couple of target caches around Sydney way and the out skirts, this was one of them.I signed the log and replaced the cache as found, thanks for the hide. Is this a series of caches or is it just coincidence that my last cache was an urban cache as well. This was an easy climb well an enjoyable climb, thanks.
Love this one found it on the 20-3-24 at 6:08pm thank you for this awesome cash
Made a plan and arrived at 11:15am, cricket matches in progress and up I went. That was fun, thanks
#13706 11:20Another tree climb on the map. Together with Martin Cousins and 4Rods we wiped this one of our to-do map. Youngsters were given us approval as we maintained the little bird house.TFTC
Out caching with Martin Cousins and It's Dozzie. Quick find. We even got a chorus of approval from the audience for doing the right thing by the birds. Thanks Ozbuckeye.
Noticed a few new hides last night. Checked this one and not yet found so I drove over here. Still unclaimed so lets climb the tree. Ah! Im the third geocacher to log our nametags. Still a good pre-work exercise and worthy a FP
Like SV I headed out for a morning. Nice DT rating. The host and cache were soon spotted and up I went only to find a banana peel one branch below the prize. This could only mean one thing that KTM had dropped in for the **FTF** or perhaps the CO eats bananas. Any way the first thought was soon confirmed as we added our name to the log and did some CITO on the peel. TFTCA fun climb.A fav ptTFTC
