Checked the location this morning, definitely missing.I need to think about how I can improve the hiding spot to make it less likely to be found accidentally. It will be back better than before soon.Alistair
Oh dear, a DNF for us, but are we just numpties or is it really gone? That remains to be seen. Thanks for the walk Alistair_C, we had a great day out, and maybe once youre back we can go for a hike to check on it!
I found this one 6 weeks ago, but I didn't have a pen with me. Today I came past it again and signed the log. TFTC!
Thanks for the cache Alistair C.So many visits to Knocklofty over the years, and I have never been along this firetrail. It was lovely, and interesting to see lots of new houses being built (on stilts) immediately below the firetrail. The GeoGSP's joined me on my stroll to GZ where a quick find was made.
Seeing two new hides came up on my map recently i finally decided to visit the Knocklofty area again to come collect them both.Parked in the suggested area and began my walk up a track i never knew was not only here but this good. So wide and so well maintained... a very family friendly trail, popular no doubt, but today the Muggles were few and far between so i'll take that Walked right up to it and the cache was in hand immediately. With no Muggles looking i signed the log at 11:08 on Wednesday 27 March 2024.Thanks for bringing me here, Alistair_C, to a new track i wanna explore further one day and TFTC
After work today I decided I should go and find a cache. Selected this new cache as target for today. Drove fairly close only to find a lot of no standing signs. Went down and back up to a place to park and followed the steps higher. Found the cache easily where I thought it would be as I approached ground zero. Of course I had to change elevation to make the find. Tftc

5 March 2024 22:28After not finding the nearby cache I looked for this one and found it easily at GZ.Looks like a blank log so it was a *{FTF}*Tftc Alistair_C
Hi Alistair_C, thank you for the cache. We'd been out for dinner and had just arrived home when I noticed one, then two new caches. After an hour or so they got the better of me as they remained unlogged. So I suggested an adventure in the dark to KingSmev and he was keen.As it turned out, the FTF on this cache occurred about the same time we left home, but the log had not yet popped up.A nice walk in from Mt Stuart after we'd managed a FTF on the earlier cache which required quite an extended search.By contrast, this was a nice quick find - by torchlight - about 11:30pm.A lovely evening with fantastic views.KingSmev and I walked most of the way back with our torches off. Home just after midnight.Cheers, EPs ??
