It's ANZAC weekend so after attending our local service in Maungatapere I headed off to Auckland for a few days geocaching. I was based at my Mums in Parnell this trip but spend most days out this way. Saturday was the exception where I went to Devonport which is one of the areas in Auckland I really like. I was amused by the sign and very glad I didn't have to pick up any body parts or loose any myself. It was low down and not right next to the post so it took a few tries for me to locate it. Thanks for the hide
**20,753**Love the sign here, didnt see any bodily remains so assume that the sign is having the desired effect. Cache located after an extended search (seems Aucklanders struggle with the difference between posts and batons) then we removed our bodily remains from the area. TFTC
Lol when reading this sign.Well worth a cache.Up and down a few times before spotting this one.
Out for a ladies day caching with Supernannny and Net61 targeting the North Shore. We detoured to find this cache on our way home. None of us have ever seen a sign like this before. With 3 sets of eyes we spotted the cache exactly where the hint says. TFTC
What a hilarious sign !All three of us were searching along the fenceline.....Took longer than it should have .Think Jag finally made the find .Glad that none of us had a shock like OneRanger!F.P. for spotting such a funny sign and placing a cache here..
Im incapacitated after major back surgery and am one month in and getting cabin fever so the CO kindly offered to take me out for an hour or two. Haha, love the sign, dont want to risk checking if its for real though. The CO had to help me with this one as I couldnt quite stretch to a bend that low!
Ended up going along fenceline a few times before spotting what I needed. Managed to get the shocking experience in doing so. Tftc
I came up to Silverdale area on the bus, to get 2 possible FTF's, and I ended up bumping into Team Welsh at the first of them, so after a joint find there, we are finding a few more caches to round out the morning, and TW will drop me back to Silverdale station a bit later. Our 2nd and last {FTF} for today, TW has a 3rd gained before my arrival to Silverdale, so this a joint find for us this morning. After turning her car around, I jumped out and counted the correct way back to the road the 4 posts, no dead bodies around here today thankfully, I have found a lot of strange things in my 10 years of caching but not that! What an unusual sign TWS! Well spotted and a cool place to have a cache. FTF#852
Gorby alerted me to this other newly published cache so this was our next stop. Love the sign and gorby made short work of the find. Another joint ftf here and my 3rd of the day. Love having lots of caches close to home. Thanks
Last cache for the evening because it is getting a bit dark now, and with threats like on this sign I'm not sure I should be trusted out this late (8pm just in case anybody was wondering). The phone was refusing to narrow down which side of the sign, so I followed the tell tale geotrail signs, got my torch out and found the remains of a fellow cacher hidden by the post.
