Find# 12672Finally got a good set of coordinates. Nice quick find after deployment of TOTT. TFTC my_name_jeff_1
We recall when this particular puzzle was released. The other puzzles in the series had fallen out quite nicely, but this one really had us stumped. Apparently not only us, as it remained unfound for quite some time. Some weeks later, a little bit of information was gleaned, and this crafty enigma fell into place very beautifully. It is very concisely constructed puzzle, with an equally tricky GZ. Today, as we drive our way to Sydney for a few days, we took a short stop and parked the car not too far away. As we are pulling the camper trailer behind us, we needed to be careful with these dead-and streets about parking. We found a suitable place, carried some necessary equipment in order to retrieve the Hide and now our name is in the log. Thanks my_name_jeff_1. A definite favourite point for the beautifully constructed puzzle and the fun Hide. Domsky
Off for a 24 hour caching trip with The Rats and Steeba. Aiming for the Goulburn and Southern Tablelands area. Dodging the rain predicted!Cheers
On a quick trip with The Rats and Hoojar tackling caches around Goulburn and the wider area. Some great hides and a variety of finds.Quite a sneaky little puzzle that The Rata was all over. Deployed TOTT for easy find.TFTC!
Out for an overnight caching run with steeba and Hoojar. With plenty of new caches around the southern tablelands area we had no problem finding a plethora of caches over our 24hr spree.Very happy to grab this as it adds another lap to my fizzy.TFTC
Knowing we were going to be overnighting in Goulburn last night, I thought I might have a go at some of these Elementary# LBH puzzles as I like LBHs and I like puzzles. Eventually after being quite puzzled with this one, I zoned in on a LOT of "guess what I'm thinking" and came up with a good possibility that we only realised paid off once at GZ. Youngest geokid made the grab early this morning where we could only SL of this letterbox as there is no stamp. Oh well. TFTC, my_name_jeff_1.#2028
This one was missing again so have replaced cache and new log. My normal Monday morning caching session with barb2e and Isopeda started rather earlier than usual to attend the nearby CITO that earned us a souvenir as well. Snow on to the next one that we found here. What would we do in Goulburn without this family. TFTC SL
Solved this puzzle during homework before going ahead on a trip to Goulburn overnight. What perfect weather today with ALL7 to catch up on some caches. Lovely spotted and signed in by stamp of us. TFTM
We Found cache on the ground put hide to top roof to safe ..63ROOS and I driving around to NSW country to find heap caches....Stay Motel over night ...Hide well.... tks
A fun but complex puzzle that we resolved a while back. Good to finally come and located, retrieve, sign and return today. TFTC my_name_jeff_1.
A trickier solve of this particular element but we got there eventually. At GZ we whipped a suitable TOTT out and had the log signed in no time, then back into the warm cars. Thanks, my_name_jeff_1!
Slowly catching up with my logging. Found on a trip with barb2e. Had worked out the final coords a while ago. Sadly my memory isn't as good as it was in high school, when I was quite good in chemistry. TFTC
This was a super easy puzzle to solve - after receiving a nudge in the right direction. The day's weather was a real mixed bag. Sometimes overcast, sometimes raining and sometimes sunny - but always with the ever present very cold and strong, blustery wind. We still managed to get some caches with ilook4geo and signed the logs. FP for this one. Thanks go to my_name_jeff_1 for this puzzle and cache placement.
The best part of today's caching was being in the car and out of the wind! But we did have to get out to make some finds with goingplaces2. This was a target for the day. All good with this one. TFTC.
Goulburn Day Trip 13/05/24With a day off and a CITO in Goulburn, I decided that I would make the trip over. Before getting there, I picked up a new letterbox along the way. Once in Goulburn I started my day by getting Subway for breakfast. From there I headed off to find some caches which slowly made my way towards the event. However, given I finished this early, I ducked off to grab some KFC for lunch. I ate it at GZ of the event while waiting for the COs to arrive. We had a great time cleaning up the area and ended up with a few full bags. Then we had some Geo-talk and soon after we headed our separate ways. I then found a few other caches before leaving Goulburn, as well as two more while on the trip home. It was a great day out and hope to be back for another event soon. TB visit. A big thanks to the CO for adding this cache to game for the Geocaching community to enjoy. TFTE & TFTCs Nasty puzzle, it took a while before it click on what to do to solve it. Anyway it has now been solved, found and added to my list. Thanks
When GT37 thought we might be heading home via Goulburn, she had a look at the puzzles around the area. Her and the other ladies worked on the series but thanks has to go to the brains trust for helping her with this one. Thank you to all involved and the CO for placing this cache and series. The cache was found with no problems as we had all that was needed on board.
Even with the push I was given, I still needed more assistance. Thank you to my helpers for this one. So easy when you know how. I had even read the answer but didn't recognise it for what it was. We had all that we needed to retrieve this and with no muggles about, we soon had the cache in hand, signed and replaced. Was helpful to us that there was a drizzle rain. Thank you to my assistants and to the CO for the puzzle and the cache.
34,732. Loved this puzzle - even if I do say so myself.minniek and I have helped the CO plan, place and publish this Periodic Table of the Elements series. It's a lot of fun. Now that this cache has finally been found - well done to OHC and RH - and commiserations to Team FATZ (*wink*) I am now claiming a find.Enjoy and Sing-a-long everyone...[Intro]And now, ASAP Science presents:The elements of the Periodic Table![Verse 1]There's Hydrogen and HeliumThen Lithium, BerylliumBoron, Carbon everywhereNitrogen all through the airWith Oxygen so you can breatheAnd Fluorine for your pretty teethNeon to light up the signsSodium for salty timesMagnesium, Aluminium, SiliconPhosphorus, then Sulfur, Chlorine and ArgonPotassium, and Calcium so you'll grow strongScandium, Titanium, Vanadium and Chromium and Manganese[Chorus]This is the Periodic TableNoble gas is stableHalogens and Alkali react aggressivelyEach period will see new outer shellsWhile electrons are added moving to the right[Verse 2]Iron is the 26thThen Cobalt, Nickel coins you getCopper, Zinc and GalliumGermanium and ArsenicSelenium and Bromine filmWhile Krypton helps light up your roomRubidium and Strontium then Yttrium, ZirconiumNiobium, Molybdenum, TechnetiumRuthenium, Rhodium, PalladiumSilver-ware then Cadmium and IndiumTin-cans, Antimony then Tellurium and Iodine and Xenon and then Caesium and[Bridge]Barium is 56 and this is where the table splitsWhere Lanthanides have just begunLanthanum, Cerium and PraseodymiumNeodymium's next toPromethium, then 62'sSamarium, Europium, Gadolinium and TerbiumDysprosium, Holmium, Erbium, ThuliumYtterbium, Lutetium[Verse 3]Hafnium, Tantalum, Tungsten then we're on toRhenium, Osmium and IridiumPlatinum, Gold to make you rich 'til you grow oldMercury to tell you when it's really coldThallium and Lead then Bismuth for your tummyPolonium, Astatine would not be yummyRadon, Francium will last a little timeRadium then Actinides at 89[Chorus]This is the Periodic TableNoble gas is stableHalogens and Alkali react aggressivelyEach period will see new outer shellsWhile electrons are to the right[Verse 4]Actinium, Thorium, ProtactiniumUranium, Neptunium, PlutoniumAmericium, Curium, BerkeliumCalifornium, Einsteinium, FermiumMendelevium, Nobelium, LawrenciumRutherfordium, Dubnium, SeaborgiumBohrium, Hassium then MeitneriumDarmstadtium, Roentgenium, CoperniciumNihonium, FleroviumMoscovium, LivermoriumTennessine, and OganessonAnd then we're done!
This one hurts. So much time looking at the wrong thing. And the CO had never even heard of that thing. I'm sure I'll be fooled again.I might have been second to solve after OHC, but who can tell for sure?At GZ I got a TOTT out of the car that made everything so much easier.TFTC!
Cache # 11231 on 17 Apr 2024Decided to head up to Goulburn for a couple of events with Bobl27 and grab a couple of caches while there. A good excuse for a drive after work! Finally got this one solved and picked up this evening. A quick retrieve and return. Had a bit of a Deja vu moment! Thank you my_name_jeff_1 for the cache and the fun!
#22101 @1745Stopped by here with Fox in Jox, AngelG and Bobl27 on our wa yto tonight's events. Deployed the TOTT and the cache was soon signed. This was a clever puzzle that took longer than it should have to solve tofind the in. TFTC.
This one threw up a curly puzzle, requiring a shift in thinking from others. Took us a while to get the 'in', then it was an easy conversion. On the way to a CITO and event, AngelG, TikvaNZ and I met at gz. Tikva deployed the TOTT and soon had out names in the log. TFTC mnj1
Our holiday is almost over but not before enjoying a caching trip in Goulburn with an overnight stay in our favourite accommodation first. With plenty of presolved puzzles and letterboxes Goulburn has plenty to offer any geocacher. This series was fun to solve from home but this one was solved last night finally after a few attempts at it. Trying all sorts of things and coming up with just nonsense that didnt make sense until something looked familiar and that was when the penny dropped. This morning after leaving our accommodation we made this our first port of call when the fog was still thick surrounding the town. Once at GZ we strained our necks to find the cache to no avail. Deciding to get the ladder out we actually found the container on the ground. We put it back up where we hope is the correct position and notified the CO of the quandary. Thanks my_name_jeff_1 for the letterbox series placement.
Canberra Geobash Road Trip 2024. Day Three: Goulburn and a couple of new LGAs.FTF. FLTFThanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, my_name_jeff_1 ~ ~
{FTF} joint with OzHockeyChick Day #3 Geobashing After arriving in Canberra yesterday and checking in at Canberra Park, today OzHockeyChick and I left Canberra again to head out east and grab some LGAs, challenges, favourites and other selected caches. As we planned the day in our dorm we spotted this one and as we started to look at it OzHockeyChick made the quick solve. We shuffled the order of todays finds to prioritize this one on the off chance it would still be available. It was!!!A nice clean log book to start off the day!A big thanks goes to my_name_jeff_1 for taking the time to add It's Elementary # 17 to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Looking for caches to find when visiting Victoria?
