Out with the Cockburn Crew on a map cleanup run. The map is starting to get out of control, but the band is back together. Cheers IMW700010!
Headed out for a morning caching run out to the hills. Completed a few adventure labs and some nice finds before it got too hot and retreated to the cool of home.
I chose probably the worst day to look for this Cache. The first Wednesday of school holidays. This park was full to the brim. No one seemed to take a second look at me so I was able to extract the final from it's very hidden niche. I didn't see it until I got my torch out and looked into the darkness.
In the area so took the opportunity to grab a few caches.TFTC IMW700010 this is find #17621 for us.
Came back with TOTT to reach this one, noticed KB had put my name down on the log, thanks. TFTC
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 62 - Swan Valley Perth Day 7. After two days of very wet weather, today was cool but clear and sunny. A fantastic day. I headed into the Perth Hills to tackle two more counties. Mundaring and Kalamunda. Parts of today's drive reminded me of where I grew up in the Adelaide hills. Not to mention a big road with lots of trucks. I took a little extra tri to do some Labs around the town of Mundaring before heading hoe to sit out in the sun doing my logging and planning. There were people all over the place riding in the skate park and playing in the park. There was no one at WP1 or GZ. I was surprised at WP1, very in your face, but I suppose most people will not even notice it. At GZ, my had was almost too big to get this one out, but I could just get two fingers around it.Thanks for the cache IMW70001048071.13 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2010 Biker Patch A#181**Albida**
Quick find at WP1 but a lengthy search at the final. Tough to extract the container from its hiding spot. Signed headley92 on the log too. Thanks for the hide.
An enjoyable multi. Someone has signed WP1 and claimed the find anyway. Perhaps they don't understand multis. TFTC IMW700010
Managed to find this one today, however it was lodged quite far back and couldnt fit my hand in to retrieve it. Will be back with TOTT to retrieve and claim the find.
We were talking about our Signal the Frog plush toy and ended up coming out of cache retirement to show granddaughters a cache.First waypoint was a familiar type but the GZ took a little searching but rusty cache-sense eventually kicked in and the log was signed. Thanks for such a local experience, now off to the slides and swings!
Found it quickly. Nice spot.May I advise, however, that the previous finder (missnancyb) only found the first stage. This is my 1047th find!Of course, I can't log a cache without attaching an Oh Hellos song:Between the seams that line your living roomA vine of ivy's pushing her way throughAnd as she creeps along, she sinks her rootsInto the cracks, and pulls 'em back until the structure's coming looseAnd the way the shadows on the wall are castLook like a twisted apparition from the pastAnd all the memories come flooding fastA wilderness you kinda missBut were taught you ought to cut it backSo you shut it outYou shout it downUntil you're all white-knuckledYou got a lot to learn, if you'd settle downLet be what is, let be what isn'tIt's a natural world in which we're livingAnd if you let it alone, it will surely growJust leave it alone, child, and let it goAnd when all your ziggurats have crumbled downAnd every stone is thrown like seeds across the groundA new Arcadia will come aroundAnd multiply until the binds of death have been unwoundSo don't you shut it outDon't you shout it downAnd get your feathers ruffledYou got a lot to learn, if you'd just settle downAnd let the river run its course'Cause see, the ground all aroundIt was always holyLeave the ruins where they fallLeave them allAnd let the wild take overLet be what is, let be what isn'tIt's a natural world in which we're livingAnd if you let it alone, it will surely growJust leave it alone, child, and let it goLet be what is, let be what isn'tIt's a natural world in which we're livingAnd if you let it alone, it will surely growJust leave it alone, child, and let it go### WORD OF THE MONTH ###verisimilitude | vrsmltjud |noun [mass noun]the appearance of being true or real: the detail gives the novel some verisimilitude.# DERIVATIVES #verisimilar | vrsml | adjective# ORIGIN #early 17th century: from Latin verisimilitudo, from verisimilis probable, from veri (genitive of verus true) + similis like.
FTF @5.20pm. Peak muggle time but managed to sit next to the cache until it quiets down.
