A trip to Launceston for work on Friday and then a days caching on Saturday before returning to Hobart. The weather was acceptable for a days caching and after an early start I had a good day. Thank you mrdonut0 for hiding and maintaining this cache. Found on 13 September 2024 at 5:14PM. This cache was my find number 11545Thanks for the cache
Took two attempts. Definitely easier during the middle of the day instead of dusk. Found with Daryvafder. TFTC
Back here for round 2 with plenty of daylight. Quicker than last time i must say i doubt we would have found that in the dark tbh its very well hidden by the natural elements. TFTC Mr Donut.
Probably not the best idea to search at dusk. Gave it a good go over for about 20mins but had to concede to the darkness setting in.
Today we further explored our back yard finding caches along the way, and this was one of them.We concentrated on finding the caches that have been published since our last visit. After a detailed search we came up with the goods. We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty. Many thanks to the CO for your cache placement.
After some issues with this cache being reported not long after being published, we kept the cache on watch and were pleased to see an update to the coordinates recently. So today, while in Launceston, we took the opportunity to look for ourselves. Despite reasonably accurate coordinates. it still took a few minutes before this cache was located. the cache and contents were in good condition. However we do have some concerns - the cliplock bag has to be bent to get the cache into its hide and repeated bending of the zip will damage it and then water will enter. Some thought needs to be given to other ways to make the cache watertight. Mr_Donut for the cache. Thanks
After some heavy rain last night I decided to come out and check on the quiche and to my surprise the logbook and bag filled with water. Ive done my best to recover the old logbook so just a reminder to close the Ziploc bag once you find it. The cache container is now a plastic film canister still with the same label on it.
Hello Mr_Donut87 thank you for the cacheThank you for your extra bit of information on this cache of yours. After spending so long looking for it last week I came back up to have another look for it tonight.I made my way to GZ and very quickly found your cache knowing a bit more.I found it under natural ground cover in a extremely small cave.I was surprised to see the logbook was still blank but happy for the *FTF*The coords were spot on.Can I make a suggestion that the hint gets changed as there is no brush nearby.Found on Friday, 22 March 2024 at 2230**TFTC**
