Up this way with ABCDF4 for a few daysSo to the CO for making our time away enjoyable
With rebel98, on the bikes plus muggle. Plan to cycle around the estuary finding a couple of caches along the way A bit of a bottle neck as the path is busy, but the cache wanted to be found, which is always a bonus
We stopped at the shops for an ice cream and a pie for afternoon tea as we watched the lightening full the sky. What a view point. The heavy rain came and there looks like there is a break so we made a run to this bridge. We found this one as it was described which we were glad of so we could keep moving alot. We signed it and carried on with a nice fast pace now we are refuelled. TFTC
I'm cycling around the Orewa estuary today, picking up caches for my 12,000th milestone coming up this Saturday. Done this cycleway several times, but love it to bits! Came up to Orewa on a train and 2 buses, great fun! Quite a neat little container TWS, I should have taken note what sort of magnet you used, seems to be quite grippy. The good magnets a damn expensive if you're buying them from Mitre10, I'll have to see where I can get them cheap. Thanks for the hide mate!
Out and about with Vistra and The Land Girl to gather a few caches around Silverdale/Millwater. Last cache of the day and back to grab the car and onto our Escape Room, thanks for this, it was an easy find.
Out caching with KirsTim and Vistra. Last one for the day. No issues here. Tftc
This is another sortie into G-2Land to sign off a few more caches. I'm just pacing myself as there is no need to hurry as I will be back another day.Good, no more muggles in sight.Cheers for the cache, The Wonderstuff.
M26: no muggles around retrieving this cache, nice and easy, log all good and signed here. TFTC
It's a long weekend so I came down to Auckland from the Far North for a few days geocaching. Friday I cached in Albany picking up lots of new TWS caches. Yesterday I headed down to Huntly collecting mostly AdLabs. Today I wanted an ftf so decided to finish of the Hauraki and Takapuna area in the morning and do the Silverdale/Orewa area in the afternoon. I originally parked in Longmore Lane to get this one. I'd felt funny about parking in a bus park even though it was obviously for the nearby school and it was a Sunday. I decided I could park close on the other side too. Turned out I couldn't as that road was just the entryway to the school. I hadn't been keen for another walk but it was all flat from the last bridge so easy going. The last three days I ended up walking 33kms. A quick find here and no muggles about being the weekend. Thanks Cam for all your latest hides to keep us entertained
Even with school kids out quite a stealthy find. Quick photo and replace. Tpvsl PINO TFTC
Had a spare hour this avo so thought it time I added some smileys to some new caches around here. Tftc
Took a seat, lots of people around but didn't manage to arouse suspicion, ANZAC day caching with garballThanks for the hide
I had yet to get to GZ when my sister had the cache in hand! On a walk around the estuary although, as it turns out, we only managed the southern part and turned back to reach our cars (a matter of meeting in the middle of where we live). We passed by here again after lunch and few more caches. Thanks for placing TheWonderStuff! Another smile on the map.
**20,792**Another clever little hide, cache located more by touch than sight, after checking out the wrong side first (thats almost a given in these situations). TFTC
As Jag50 has said,... we were out doing these newish caches ...Very easy find for her once she got down low..Love this estuary....Thanks.
Good cache to find in the school hols as its not so busy and managed to find a muggle free time to find this cache. Really one place it could be hidden and it indeed that is where it was. TFTC
I needed to head to the pharmacy to get more painkillers so I decided I might as well stop by here as it was on the way. Id missed the notification as I was chatting to a neighbour so I thought it would probably have been found by the time I got here but as I turned the corner onto the bridge I spied G-2 standing at gz. Have you found it? I ask but no, he was busy dealing with phone calls and hadnt started looking. Down low is not good for me right now but I sat down and found the cache in the first place checked and Glyn signed us in for joint {FTF}. Thanks for another cache in my hood.
Joint {FTF} with Merlot who turned up as I was trying to deal with multiple phone calls and the din of a lawnmower close by, also with cyclists wizzing by , Di to the rescue! All good here, thanks!
I managed to find somewhere close by to park the car and walked down here with the geohound. When we got to GZ there were a couple of muggles approaching from opposite directions, but I had already spotted the cache so I was able to do a sneaky retrieval without either of them noticing anything. Not only that but I had replaced the cache by the time the next muggles arrived.
