Spent today enjoying some of the best that the Shore has to offer, with a show at Pumphouse Theatre, and the Food Truck Collective at Milford Reserve. Picked this cache up on the way home - made for a quick find here, and no muggles to be seen since the tide was quite high. TFTC!
Up this way with ABCDF4 for a few daysSo to the CO for making our time away enjoyable
Out and about today with Pyphant and 2/3 of Greenkiwikids. On our mission to help a bunch of aliens fuel up their spaceship for the Cosmic Quest, we came along this cache. Luckily, there was a stick conveniently placed at GZ, so that was easy. And a cool hide. Thanks for hiding and maintaining. Tftc
Helps to read the whole page .... A quick find. Clever little hide here.Quite a few people out and about.Thank you G-2 for placing this cache.Log signed as B&PFind number 5246
Lovely day out on a blustery winters morning today with himself and Geo Dog. TFTC thanks Kids.
We have looked for this on a previous visit with no luck but today read it properly & made the find. TFTC
We walked all the way along the coast from Takapuna beach. Thanks to previous finders for leaving some natural tottNice hide.
It always pays to read the description for a cache, and after doing so we soon zoomed in to where we needed to search. We loved that fellow cachers had left behind some natural TOTT to help extract this cache. A nice quick find here with Net. TFTC
Taking a small walk this morning and collecting a couple of caches. Had previously not been able to find this cache so decided to give it another try today. Continued searching for quite some time and then one final idea came to mind which revealed the cache. A nice sneaky find.
Yeah, nah. Too much of a mission today with the waves breaking against the wall. Next time!
Caching once again in the company of Team Welsh on a fine Sunday morning. We walked along from Cecil to this one, for a nice quick find now that the cache is back in place. Thanks.
Must have been having a brain fart the last time I was here. Used my head and eyes this time. Even had tools in Situ. Thanks previous finders. Tftc
Walked along the beach while we waited for people to leave Cecil in the hope of avenging our DNF. Cache had been replaced since then and there was even a handy tool right there for us to use. Thanks for replacing it.
I didnt have my phone out and was trusting my caching buddy for info . First mistake We hunted around , I looked at a sign and thought that would be a good slot for it , it turned out Glyn thought the same took some photos Thanks
I had this cache on an offline list from a few days ago and hadnt updated the list so I didnt see that the cache had been replaced and moved slightly! Not long after logging my dnf the CO messaged me telling me it had been replaced so we returned and made a quick find. Maybe we should have checked that spot anyway as its unlikely to go missing as easily from there.
Out caching on the Shore with grandson Caius and Team Welsh. No luck for us here - this one seems to be missing.
No luck for us today, had what we considered a good search and used a PAF option but still unable to locate. Called the CO's answering service and got a call back soon after confirming that we were in the right place at the right level. Hope to come back to find it one day
Got a good car park again....and wandered down to the beach ... and with the very good instructions, I went straight to the cache . Just had to watch out for a sharp tree branch at about Eye Height ! I didn't have my handy loppers on me .Thanks !
I am out and about running an errand and collecting the recent publications around Milford, on this overcast Saturday afternoon. I parked up at the end of the street and made the short walk over to ground zero. I missed the hide on the first pass, despite the clear instructions on the cache page. A few more passes and extending the search area didn't help. I had to pause searching often with a steady stream of muggles walking pass. Anyway, I finally spotted it right where it should be. However, the issue was that the red rock was no where to be seen; that's what foiled me! After signing the log sheet I looked around and found a red rock to place over the cache again. Cheers for the cache placement!
Getting some sunshine before heading to work this afternoon. Didnt manage to find this cache this morning.
By the time i walked here, i found all the locals. My solo walk was no more, instead the beach was awash with dogs & dog owners. In a gap of passers-by, i grabbed this nicely hidden cache. Lovely area. [TFTC]
I remember scrambling around looking for the previous cache. My rock hound parents would be ashamed. Im sure its somewhere obvious and someone who is not rockcolour blind will find it.There are worse places to walk and sit! Maybe next time
At the previous cache this evening I was almost impaled on a tree. Here I was almost decapitated. That's the problem caching when it's going dark. It also makes it a bit harder to see the colour of the rocks, but if you have your torch handy you can always tell nosey muggles that you are looking for spiders.
After finding the other nearby new caches, we decided to hop back in the car and race off to this cache. You never know whos hot on your tail. A quick find with the clear hint. Luckily there werent many muggles around as the weather hadnt been great up to this point. Just as I was leaving GZ, a four-legged muggle rushed up to me out of nowhere and presented me with a stick to throw. Lucky timing. FTF #14. Thanks G-2.
