Logs
Found on a bike ride in Bottle Lake Forest. This one was quite a quick find and all is dry and in good order. TFTC!
As it was a lovely day decided to explore a part of bottle lake, enjoy a beach walk and find a few caches. TFTC.
#4,057: Romeo Smiley!I came to this one on a very nice ride around the forest. It was a tricky one, and I think I was lucky to make the find. I'm not sure I WOOD have found it without the hint. But at least I wasn't BOARD during the search. All in good shape!SL/TFTC!!
#24170. Troodles thought we might be in for a long search here, but she found it very quickly. A nice finish to a successful (if chilly) afternoon of caching. TFTC.
The last of five caches found in and around Bottle Lake Forest today. We approached this one with trepidation as there were quite a few DNFs, but armed with the hint, it turned out to be a quick find. The lid is starting to crack but despite that, the contents are all nice and dry.TFTC. Now time to head for home and a well deserved coffee.
Out today with the wee wombles, and my sister in law on a mission to find 5 caches today to get to a caching milestone. Took a bit to find the cache but found it eventually. Thanks for the cache.#4999
As I got to GZ I saw something but thought to myself it won't be there, but I looked in that spot anyway and there it was! First spot I checked! Awesome! Thanks for the cache, I had fun finding it and going for a walk in the forest this afternoon.
the moment we stopped to search, I swear like 3 families with young children passed by so we had to hang around and wait for them to leave. searched for a while but found nothing but moldy dog poo. very thorny too, got pricked many times.
This one took a few minutes but the hint helped. I was visited by a couple of passing dog who checked me out. All good here TFTH
A sneaky cache alright. I just got lucky and spotted it quite quickly. Hope the container lasts. Tftc
Out for a walk in BLFP. Have been walking past this cache for a while but finally decided to have a look and after a a few steps avoiding the thorns after a poor entry choice the cache was in hand. Thanks for the hide.
I don't get this cache. Only my name and Ivss_xx on the log. I wouldn't normally have bothered to come back after my last visit but saw a couple of familiar names so got a bit more info. And it's a good day for a bike ride. Today I was in exactly the same place as the other day and found what I missed the other day. Seems bizarre I didn't spot this then. I had checked here pretty thoroughly. Not convinced I have found what the others found.#10339
Our hearts sank when we saw where we had to hunt. Mrs W spent much of her time saying hello to curious passers by!!! Found in a spot that was not wet or mucky and quite close to a major feature for that tiny space. . Thank you.
16:47 Well, I found it. Weirdly, the logbook was completely blank. CO doing some logbook swapping again like with the first cache? Who knows. Also, like the first cache, this probably won't last well in the winter weather...TFTC#10724
Its still there! Can see where other cachers have been digging (wrong places), the hint is good; TFTC
Came out on an afternoons drive with Mr16 and MrsTG...and went fir a walk.Pleased to tick this one off. Daylight helps, plus got direction from neandpedro and bigglesponies. Would have practically stood on it last time! Thanks.
Spent far too long looking with no success. Hint isn't very helpful so won't be looking again for some time. The area is pretty gross with bagged and unbagged dog poo.
With a trio of caches down near the southern border of Bottlelake Forest I went on a eMTB cyclocache ride from Kaiapoi down through the forest. Though I did scout around intending to seek the cache I was more concerned about not standing in all the dog poo both deposited and littered in baggies around this area that I didn't stay for long. Ugh. Sadly this cache has now been dispatched to my ignore list. Pity, but there are so many more better places the cache could have been placed..
FTF 1pm Not the easiest of finds but a bit of scratching around and not taking the hint literally it was found safe and snug. TFTC
Spent far too long looking for this one so messaged M&P for a hint. With their help it was found. TFTC.
Saw this published late afternoon but i had to organise an earlyish tea as we had to head out to my nieces funraising quiz night....so i put this and the other new nearby Kuri cache #3 out of my mind. Both still unlogged when we got home so thought it worthwhile heading out.. took my bike and uberbright bike light - its been a while.Parked up near Juliet Rd and biked off into the night. Caching at night has its good and bad points...torch tunnel vision being the worst.Used the Juliet Rd sign as a start point and expanded from there...found a couple worthy hint features nearby but no cache...expanded out, and in again, still no luck. After 20min headed off on the bike to Kuri's Cache #3 and had better luck there with a quick find and sign. Biking back out i stopped here for another 20min search and still had no luck (expanded search quite a bit). Found plenty of dog poo bags, why collect it if you are just gonna turf it into the trees? And once i stood in some it was time to leave...Im sure the cache is there, just not where i looked. I'll be back...but in daylight next time..
