Wow, 17 years of geocaching. I'm coming up 10 years this June. No time for this geocacher to sit and reflect. A quick sit, look, grab, sign and replace. Glad to get some good numbers this trip. I hadn't had a good numbers trip for a while so it was well overdue. Being a Mum taxi to an anti geocaching daughter and my ftf desires means I don't get many big days in my local area. Thanks for your recent keeness to hide caches
**20,754**What a lovely spot, super quiet here, so some great reflection could be done here. Not sure why but looked in all the wrong places first got there in the end. TFTC
We made a plan with Team Welsh to pick up the recently published caches in and around Orewa this morning. After visiting the dead centre of Wonderland, we headed out to find this nice place to sit and reflect. Thanks for bringing us here. Even with such a specific hint it took us a little while to spot the hide.
Lovely little cemetery which is well maintained and very quiet. Searched a couple of spots before Mr KC came up with the goods. TTFC
Out for a ladies day caching with Supernannny and Net61 targeting the North Shore. A quick find here in the cemetery with SN And NetTFTC
Out with the Westie Girls for a fun day out of Caching and other adventures!This was a quick find .I remember getting a cache here in the past .All good here.
I was in the area about 6 weeks ago and thought this cemetery would be a great place for a cache ( I also thought it looked like a nice place to be laid to rest)..................and apparently somebody had the same thought as I.Tonight I completely forgot the time and how quick it goes dark, and just because it was sunshining at home didn't mean it wouldn't be raining out here. I parked by the gates and left the geohound in the car whilst I came in. From the cache name I had an idea straight away where the cache might be and headed there. I was glad of the hint because not only did it start to rain but I hadn't closed the gate properly and it made that sound that a gate in a graveyard in a movie with zombies and suchlike would make, and scared the bejesus out of me.Anyway I did find the cache, the log got a bit wet when I dropped it on the floor, I couldn't remember what the date was today, but I got it all back together and was back in the car before I got too wet.
Its a stunning autumn day, way too nice to sit at home and as Im allowed to drive now after recent back surgery (though just local) this cache was just on my outer limit so as it was still unfound after 4 hrs I decided a drive in the country would be nice. Murphys law, just as I arrived and was about to search so did the crew who were there to empty the rubbish bin! I pretended I was having a quiet reflection with the angels until they left and then it wasnt too long before I had the cache in hand and opened it to find a blank log for the {FTF}
Did not know this place existed. Thank you from Howard and Kath plus Hearo the dog
