In Albany for a quick work trip making the most of planning my own calendar and allowing time for someGeocaching .. well aided by a great team down here that managed to free up even more time for me. Thanks to the locals who have made for a map full of green dots that 6 to 9 months ago was almost none! TFTH
Cruising around Albany and surrounds picking up the latest and greatest caches around the town.Managed a good haul for the days effort, including a drive out to Nanarup and Two Peoples Bay, which was probably the highlight. Thanks for the new local hides and Ill leave a few for the locals to find. Thanks for the cache.
There was a 25 minute wait for my pizza from Jo Joes so I wandered around the corner for this cache thanks
Heading south for an extended long weekend, with the aim to knock off one of WAs oldest caches, up Bluff Knoll. Unfortunately, the plan didnt take the shape we intended, with the car not starting this morning in Nyabing. After some assistance from Scott at the Hub to get leads from another local in town, we got a jump and decided to change course for Albany to source a new battery. While we were a bit bummed out on not completing the intended climb, you do have to play with the cards you are Even late at night there were a few cars rolling through to make the search a challenge. Must have missed it on the first sweep, but we got there in the end. Cheers DarkAndD4v3y! Join us in Augusta, in Western Australias South West, for WA Goes Big 2024 (GCAGV8Y) on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September. Log your will attend now!
OK so we got to this one about 3 caches ago and there was actually someone using the phone, we cycled across the road to wait him out but then he seemed to be sitting there waiting for a call back?? Decided to leave this and come back later and thankfully noone there on our return so a nice quick find. Forgot to ring sazzas bro to annoy/continue the tradition though! Headed into Albany and got the treadlies off the car to try to clean up some of these unending wonderful geocaches in Albany! I think we might be stuck here for weeks trying to get all these smilies! We did not realise that Albany had soooo many hills, we did about 20kms on the bikes and by the end of the day saz never wants to see another hill again! .....definitely deserved a frothie after that! Thank you DarkAndD4v3y for placing and maintaining (4) Albany Highway (Original Phone box Series) for us and others to find and enjoy!
Nice easy find. Unfortunately I had to use a marker as my newly purchased pens didnt work. Thank for the FTF
