Thank you for hosting this geocaching Event! The date of the Event has passed. We automatically archive Events after 30 days (60 days for Mega- and Giga-Events). Attendees can still log archived Events, log trackables, and share their experiences.
It was so overly to catch up with people and sit around and chat fir way longer then 1/2 hour. Thanks so much to Freddo01 for bringing us gippslanders and a couple of ringins togetherRegardskbucky
This turned into a fun gathering of Cachers from all corners of Gippsland - the East, the Middle, the South and the South West with a couple of ring-ins from the City joining in. It was awesome putting faces and everyday names to caching identies. And - what was scheduled for only half an hour turned into nearly two hours of catching up, chatting, laughing and sharing caching intel. Our Golden Arches Party Room was just perfect for our gathering. Thankyou to everyone for travelling long distances to Morwell and celebrating the 2024 Blue Switch Day together. F.T.F. Honours - when the Wheel of Names was spun, Jimmymaff's name was randomly selected. Congratulations.
Great event and great location. Good to see so many made the trip out for the Blue Switch Day. It was great catching up with others. Thanks again for hosting the event.
Had a great time putting faces to names at this event. Always good to chat with like minded people about caching. Thanks Fredd01 for taking the time to put on this event ??
Last minute decision to attend catching a ride with gwd.aussie and Sharon14. A great chance to catch up with fellow geocachers. Thanks for organising Fredd01
Glad the event was at a good time for us which needed to travel to it. Great to catch and talk about all things caching.Thank you for the event and the chocolate slice Fredd01.
A beautiful day for caching and a very nice place to have an event. 10 people in attendance and a very nice chocolate slice to consume. Thanks for the event.
It was great to have an event in Gippsland to mark Blue Switch Day. It was a good location for an event at this time of the year, as you can never be sure what the weather will do. As it turned out it was perfect for more caching after the event. A smallish event meant we could talk to everyone. Ideas were exchanged, names were matched with faces and tummies were filled. Thanks for organising it Fredd01.
We were in the general area completing a Parkrun. While Huntress ran another 2 laps of Parkrun, Puppy and myself ran an extra couple of kilometres and collected a geocache. Then we all met up again and, after doing some stretching, headed to Morwell. Got to the event and soon discovered no outside tables at all. Very poor form from this establishment. As such, it was a quick hello to everyone, signed the log book, grabbed our coffees, and then over to enjoy a nice warm down walking around the Morwell Lake doing the Adventure Lab. Thanks for hosting the event, Fredd 01. Sorry for not sticking around longer.HunterPS. I guess I didn't win the FTF raffle.
Hi All, As our Gippsland mornings are a little chilly at the moment, you'll find us inside The Golden Arches keeping warm.See you in the morning.Cheers, Fredd01
Mmmmm - I've just booked the Party Room at The Morwell Golden Arches. If you arrive before me, just ask at the main counter and let the staff know you're with 'Jenny'.
Sorry FreddO, we wont be able to make this one. We have a family birthday in Melb. All the best
