Finding the cache was harder than doing the puzzle! So glad I persisted as the location was excellent.
Oh Man.....that was a few hours I will never get back!Took me longer than I expected to solve this puzzle. Got stuck on one question but tried googling another source, and I had success! Was determined to get this as was here anyway for 3 newish trads!Love how you hid this container!Should be safe there.Plus I learned a lot about those Incidents back in the olden days. Thanks Matt.
Solved a couple of weeks ago with the help of Erimi dio, and decided to knock out the last few around the lake. TFTC and for the puzzle
Some interesting facts discovered whilst researching this puzzle.Sadly, they were the only things I found. Missing, or cache-blind; not sure.
**21,094**Solved this fun and interesting puzzle in anticipation of this trip. We have always enjoyed visiting this area. Cache quickly located, nicely tucked away. TFTPC
We are back in New Zealand to have the holiday we should have had 4 years ago, Covid-19 put an abrupt end to that holiday.Out by myself today for a stroll around Lake Ngoroto. The weather when I set off was very miserable but it all brightened up when I got to the lake. It only started raining again when I was about 500m from the car.Greetings from the UK.To solve this puzzle I got a pointer from the CO, many thanks for the help. Once I knew what to do, Dr Google is definitely your best friend with this puzzle. I worked out the answers from the web page that I used. A very interesting read and I did not know that Japanese bombers had nicknames. Arrived at GZ and started my search. I found it on the second place that I looked. FP for this cache.Log signed and cache replaced as found. Thanks to matagouri for placing.Find 6 of 6Total finds 3713
Returned with the dog in tow for another loop of the lake today since there were some new caches nearby. With a pointer to the correct event from dmkw1 I was able to solve this relatively quick, well constructed and on theme cache TFTC
Quickly solved as I was already somewhat familiar with the required knowledge. Quickly located theneat hiding spot while on a circuit of the lake. TFTC
With Team20We attended the rattll event at Lake Ngaroto, and our hosts indicated that a scattering of caches would appear around 12:30PM. We decided on a group name and set off up the trail. It was a beaut day for walking and the trail was busy This is how puzzles should be solved - And found - As a team. This was an interesting subject and something Id never heard of before. Thanks matagouri. TFTP and TFTC.
We decided to go to the Event at Lake NgarotoAnd we are so happy we did It was a beautiful day also to see old and new facesWe got told there are some caches coming out about 12.30 so then a decision came out what we are going to call the group ftf Team20 It was a team solve this puzzleA big group of as were offGreat hide nice Joint {FTF} Happy 20
#14,960. Joint {FTF} and first day find. At the conclusion of the nearby Rattll'n around for 20 years event in Te Awamutu, Waikato, a group of us went rambling around Lake Ngaroto to attempt a number of newly published caches and other ones that had been around for a while. This was one of them. There were quite a few walkers, runners and cyclists on the track, but the GZ itself was fortunately all quiet at the time of our visit. Found after a short search. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log (as Team 20 or T20 as the group name for the new caches, and with individual names for existing caches).Favorite point added for the interesting puzzle challenge and themed hide.*Thanks for the puzzle and geocache placement, and for bringing us to this site, and **.T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e.**.M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.*
This was solved as a team effort of those attending a nearby event. Some were more switched on than others. (I have to admit that I went on the wrong tangent but did contribute some). Then it was a walk around the lake where the cache was located and signed as Team20. Thank you for the placement and introducing me to a subject I had never heard of.
solving this puzzle soon turned to a team effort to get corrected answer.walked around lake was very enjoyable.after a great event.log signed as team 20TFTC
found as a large crowd of cachers wandered around the lake, signed as Team20 {ftf}Several of us worked as a team to solve the puzzle and soon had a good set of numbers in hand
Found during todays event as part of Team20. A very pleasant walk around the lake. Thanks for the event and for setting up these new caches
We were given this mystery to work out at Rattls 20 years of geocaching event, which some of us a short time to work out and others a little longer. And as I was traveling bi cycle I had to go anti clockwise around the lake to retrieve this one log was signed at 1pm as part of a joint {FTF}.A nicely themed container for this one. Thanks for the placement and the smiley.
