And so a couple of extras to be found, happy to come riding the trail as often as you put them out.TFTC
One fine Spring morning, AtTheLakeHouse and WallabyWanderers set off on an adventure along the Northern Rivers Rail Trail. What a great day we had! After camping in a nearby National Park we had a beautiful scenic drive to our start point at Murwillumbah Station. Then a second fuel injection of caffeine was had while doing the carpool thing and we were on our way. We were a tad nervous about riding bikes as we hadnt been on them since kids, but you know what they say. We loved every minute of the journey. Every bridge, tunnel and little town in between. Every point of interest. Every scenic view. We had a quick break at NumBums cafe in Stokers Siding, but I guess stopping at every cache was a rest in itself. We made it all the way to the end at Crabbes Creek and part of the way back before our hire time ran out, but Mooball was a great place to finish anyway. Loved the bikes and are keen to acquire one now. Keen to do the trail again too. One day wasnt enough to take it all in, especially with so many caches along the way! All logs signed as ATLH and WW on 21/9 or if room permitted our names in full.
When I got DUN reading the BIBLE I asked myself...who was the greatest financier in the Bible?Answer: Noah -- he was floating his stock while everyone else was in liquidation TFTC
Found with Teamnanabombana on a fun geocaching biking adventure. Thanks for the cache NRRTCachers
I had a few hours spare this morning while the rest of the family headed into Murbah so I decided to get a few more caches on the rail trail. Started at Dunbible then down to the tunnel and then back via Smiths Creek Road (still two more left) and home via Uki. All caches found on foot with drives in between - lots of cyclists today enjoying the beautiful weather (some I even saw more than once). This was the first for the day - parked at Dunbible Station and walked back. Not certain I ever got the first one but this was a quick find in the obvious spot.TFTC NRRTCachers
Travelling inland in NSW by motorhome. Our goal was to cycle along the new Northern Rivers Rail Trail. We parked our campervan in Murwillumbah and then cycled along the Northern Rivers Rail Trail to Grabbes Creek and back.We passed 26 bridges and 2 tunnels, including the unique Burringbar Range Tunnel - it was fun.On the way we had a lot of fun with the interesting signs, the great nature, the adventure caches and all the other caches. Thanks to all the owners who showed us the interesting places.sayTeam sissifalke
2 second find, great scenery, could you feel the difference temperature drop when going into the area?
TFTC. Logged as BG & SDW. A couple of cachers come to Murwillumbah for 3 days together trying to get as many smiley faces as possible in that time. Thankfully it is a very rich area of caches to pick from well done to the locals for placing and maintaining. The hiring of E-bikes start of trail was a great idea but even then we only got half way. Just means we have to come back again to finish it.Apologies for the generic postings all logs signed and replaced as found.
When I first heard about this Rail Trail I immediately put it on my list of things to do. After a couple of false starts SusanDW and I finally made it to Murwillumbah to start our big adventure. Haven't been on a bike for years but the e-bike made it so easy. All caches were found easily enough, logs signed BG&SDW to save time and space. The trail was amazing, unfortunately we didn't quite make it to the end, which gives us an excuse to come back. Many thanks to the NRRT Cachers for placing and maintaining such a big variety of different caches. Apologies for the cut and paste logs
Finally got a chance to get back and pick up this one after a previous disappointment. Nice and easy to find, and a pleasant walk along the trail. TFTC
What a huge long weekend and some very different caching events and outings. An all day event on Saturday in Woodford. A day of caching and an event with Davidwazza on Sunday, and then today a drive to Northern rivers for a bike ride along the rail trail with Willis007. I am beat and I get a sleep in tomorrow. The rail trail is fantastic it took us close to 5- 6 hours to complete from start to finish. We did not race but then again we did not take it slow either. I enjoyed the ride between caches and took the cruisey scenic approach, so much to take in on the ride. It was very busy today so I would hate to see how busy it may be on a weekend. The majority of people were on bikes, however there were skateboarders, rollerbladers, scooters, prams, walkers, and runners all using the path.Today was just simply a fantastic no pressure caching day and I think we have a new convert to an ebike, lol. We found all caches and had no issues other than me not getting to open a lab in time and the phone going into SOS mode. However I knew what to expect on the way back and job done.I know there is room for more caches on the path but I really think more would spoil the balance of caching and the enjoyment of the trail. A great concept, easy grabs and well done all, if only I could give each cache a Favourite point. All caches were replaced as found and logs signed, again THANK YOU.
Plans were made with chamad to cruise the NRRT on bikes. Knowing he had an e-bike, I decided I wasn't going to use old fashioned pedal power so organised to hire an e-bike. It was a lovely way to enjoy this great trail. All of the caches were found reasonably quickly, we did have to make a PAF or 2 though. Thanks NRRTCachers for taking us on the journey along this great trail.
Went to check this new cache today and container had gone AWOL!!!New container and GZ moved slightly.Happy caching!

Unless this was extraordinarily well-disguised, I'm going to guess that someone has already found and made off with the container.Great pity for the CO and a disappointment. Appreciate all cache hiders and thank you for your efforts.
