collected the info while in another area little detour on the way home from the gym this morning to collectsure is quiet around here at 3am
Currently chasing multi's for a challenge. Arrived at starting point a few days ago on the way home from the city to grab the info required. Took this home to complete our calculations. This morning after the gym was our time to attack.Quickly spotted and carefully retrieved. Log signed, cache replaced.TFTH
Today I'm out caching along Kedron Brook on the bike on my way to Nudgee, this one was next on my list. It's pretty amazing what the floods did back in the day. I calculated the numbers I needed and continued to GZ where the cache was found. I had to use the bike at GZ to give me a leg up so I could easily reach the log book. Loved the final location which was very fitting for the theme of the cache.TFTC
I previously visited the marker at the Posted Coordinates with [jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) on 27/07/2024; In fact, it was a flood marker that I had seen before, so I had suspected its year, but it was no trouble visiting again. On that date, it was in between a parkrun session and a junior sports play, and the nearby playground provided an opportunity to busy baby Cottontail's time.Today, this cache and the nearby Toombul cache were the only couple of caches within the area that I had to find, so we parked nearby to this cache, and walked to GZ. A nice hide and a well-themed multi-cache to fit the location. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. It is a creative hiding technique, and I can only guess that the CO had thought of this spot and the applicable marker whilst commuting/riding to work every day, so was the multi-cache connecting the two locations just inevitable? Thanks [Que Sera](https://coord.info/PRFWTKP) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------This morning, baby Cottontail and I attended Kedron parkrun, and then ventured into the nearby suburbs north-east for coffees, playground, and geocaches of course. We visited a few more of the *Ban-Yobbo* series, but our highlights of the morning were morning tea at Wolff Coffee Roasters, and the random cheap/bulk juice shop at Golden Circle Pineapple Pantry.
I should have guessed the number we needed to work out the final location from the cache description, but Im still trying to guess how girls work or what causes them to get pregnant. We had somehow visited the exact spot for some reason or other in the last few years, and in fact it seemed the same one year old was having a birthday party years later in the same spot, so time hasnt moved.Im down with minimalistically spending on a one year olds birthday party. How many adults come to you and say their first birthday was the best day of their life. Then you turn 18 and there is no chance you can remember a birthday. If you can remember any birthday after 18 years old then your parents should hang their head in shame for not teaching you about wine. Today was so filthy hot that not even a slight sweat was sexy. Im not convinced that sweat could ever be considered an aphrodesiac. If that is a turn on for you then maybe you need to spend some time at the gym listening to the squeaky creaks of the gym pants being worn on the walking machines. This hide needed a bit of magic or science to retrieve. I want to say that we used both, but in fact we used neither. We just used some spit, some hope and love, a few prayers and about 30 inches of a solid stick. tftc
Thanks to Duppers for letting me know about the mishap. I have now replaced it and see how it goes.
Having answered the question at Kalinga Park I then set about finding a couple more caches before driving a little bit closer to GZ. I made my way to where I needed to be and had the correct tool of the trade in hand to retrieve the cache. The logbook itself was fairly damp but I could write my name on it. Unfortunately I'm very sorry, but when I returned the cache to its place, one of the attachments came unhooked and the cache ended up down I side where it should've been on the top. I'm sure the CO will know what I mean. Very sorry but I have misplaced this case which will now be somewhere inside it location.
Out this morning after an Event to find a few caches before heading home to watch the Lions play. Gathered the numbers and soon at GZ. Cache retrieved. Signed the log and returned to where found. Thanks Que Sera. Nice to see you this morning. All good with this cache and multi.
Que Sera I found your cache IF IT'S FLOODED FORGET IT on 6/7/2024, 2:05PM. This is my find 6814 and find # 10 today. Grabbed the required information and formulated the final coordinates. Arrived at GZ for a quick and easy find. Brought an appropriate TOTT and wasnt long before I was signing the logbook. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
GCAPZXT IF IT'S FLOODED FORGET ITNeeded a multi today so this one fitted the bill. Drive to the parking lot of this great park and quickly had the coords required. Decided to walk to GZ with my TOTT in hand as I needed to reach my 10,000 steps goal. Laughed when I saw where GZ was. Might not have had the best TOTT but it worked. Kept going to check out my much loved and ruined Toombul. So very sad I still miss it dearly. Nice themed multi Que Sera
TFTC smile20096 Out and about on a Sunny day grabing this Multi-cache to try and keep a challenge going signed as GIRSH on small logs with geo friends Thank you Que Sera for placing this cache for our enjoyment
Started a new job this week that involves an fair bit of work from home opportunity. So at lunchtime I popped out to pick up this cache that is fairly close to home and works towards a challenge cache Im focusing on.The initial info was straight forward and the cache was spotted quickly, tott engaged and log extracted.Made my mark and headed back to online learning and development and reading through company policy. You have to love the first week at any new job.CheersShaun
I took a drive to collect the necessary information then sat down to do the number crunching. Not feeling too much like a walk I jumped back in the car to get a little closer. I was prepared at GZ with a collapsible step stool but even then I had trouble getting it out. After signing the log I had a better idea of the best technique of replacing it and managed to get it positioned without losing it. TFTC
Nice open area to walk around and with hardly any muggles in sight, it made quick work of getting to GZ. Unfortunately, floods are a fact of life in Queensland, having grown up with them every year in NthQld. Thank you, Que Sera, for this good multi and a different type of hide that needed a baby ToT
I happened to be over this side of town today to look for another cache and thought it would be nice to add a multi to the calendar today as well. I know the park and the marker well, and I was pretty sure I knew what the numbers were so I quickly calculated the final location and went straight there. As I approached I knew I was in the right spot and there was really only one place the cache could be but retrieving it was going to be a bit of a problem for me. It turns out that when you need to add an extra 10cm to your reach a mobile phone can be a very useful TOTT. With cache in hand, I signed the log and then realised that returning it was going to be even more problematic. I tried a few things that didn't work too well and in the end I took a risk and tossed it back and thankfully the cache landed in exactly the same spot I found it.Thanks for the fun little multi Que Sera!
Perfect morning to be out walking. The answer was soon sorted and we made our way to GZ where we quickly spotted the hide. Bit of a stretch first thing in the morning but the cache was soon in hand. Thanks Que Sera
I needed a Multi today and my friends had found it so collected the info to work out GZ. Parked within 60 or 70 mtrs of GZ and a quick find with the appropriate TOTT. Log signed before replacing as found. TFTC
After getting the required information made our way to GZ where the cache was quickly located. TFTC
Back on the Multi hunt.Spied this one and thought it would be a good one for the time I had.Nice. Quick and easy.TFTMulti Que Sera
Out caching with hatzofff and Imbunda while on our way to a nearby CITO Event.Easy to work out the final. A short drive later and with the use of a stepping stool the cache was in hand. Log signed and cache replaced as found at 5:30 PM on May 28, 2024. TFTC, Que Sera.
I have never been much of a runner, but my recent health kick has seen me get into the habit of doing a 5k Park Run most Saturday mornings. I have come to realise that consistency is more important than effort. Having slept in this morning, I was running late to get to New Farm where my mates run (walk!). So, despite the rain, and remembering the consistency lesson, I headed Shaw Rd to have a crack at the Kedron run. Afterwards, very pleased with a new PB at Kedron, I decided to reward myself by collecting a local cache. I missed this one when it was published, which is a pity as it is on my caching backyard. Knowing a bit about Brisbane's flood history, I could have probably guessed the required clue, but decided this would be a nice cool down walk from Shaw Rd to the listed coordinates. At the listed coordinates, everything was just as I expected. Calculations completed and I was disappointed to see where the final was as it was just a little further away than I was prepared to walk after a hard run. So I returned to the car instead and headed straight to GZ. I have certainly seen this area flooded previously. Indeed, the heavy machinery knocking stuff down just over there is an in your face reminder about the floods. At GZ, I struggled. Clearly I am not quite 2m tall! but with tippy toes and a short stick, I got there eventually. Everything was in good order. Many thanks Que Sera.Pete #7.902
I was working in the neighbourhood, plus I had mark on my calendar that I needed a multi today. ?? Information was found, new coords were added to my phone. Now off the the finals. Cache found and signed. Lucky for me I am tall enough for this cache.Que Sera thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for enjoyment of the caching community.
Out with T-Tech again today to gather a few more caches. This one was solved at home. We had a short walk to GZ and T-Tech made the find and grab. TFTC, Que Sera.
Out with IolantheK today to grab a few caches This one was a nice easy find, but not too easy to reach Definitely a tiptoe cache find Cache is dry and in good conditionTFTC Que Sera
These things are dotted all over Brisbane so I didn't need to visit the posted. Thanks for the cache Que Sera
*FTF*Sitting at home watching the footy and the phone goes ding, new caches. This was the first and I think it was just the only one at the time. I saw it was only a few streets away and I knew exactly where it was. I checked my chart and it turns out I do not have a *FTF* on this date, so it was now an option to grab. I put on some shoes, grabbed a torch and headed off to hopefully be the first here.I arrived on site and it was super dark in the area. I found the numbers I needed and started to work out the new location. OH, I was not expecting it to be over there, but it did look possible and again I knew the area. I went over to check out if I had the correct coordinates. I read the hint and as I walked up, it all made sense and I felt a little better that I had the right spot. I took the wrong TOTT with me but I was still able to grab the cache.I thought for sure I was not going to be the first but the moment I opened the cache I saw a blank log, awesome. I signed the log and then replaced the cache as found. Thank you for a fun multi and a favourite point for this cache.
