After seeing the sun appear over the horizon, I spent some time walking around town ... including the Museum (well worth the entrance fee!).Container was not what I was expecting ... but still fun to track down.First time visiting Cooktown and I am LOVING it!TNLNSL.TFTC ...

Visiting Cooktown, and searched for all the towns geocaches yesterday.Thankfully a nice easy find after the difficult Train and Tank caches.

On our way to the Top, caching where we can.Spending a couple of days in Cooktown, plenty of time to go looking.We pull up and I spend 10 mins or so looking about.I finally resort to the hint and find Im 20 or so meters out.Moving over, the cache is found in a short time and the log gets signed.Off to the next one..TFTC Venimus, Invenimus, Signati
Scouting in and around Cooktown today with ilook4geo. This was one of the caches found and signed. All was in good order. Thanks for giving us a reason to visit Cooktown by placing this cache go to gibbo73. It was also a quick and easy find.
There were two areas to our caching today with goingplaces2, being Hope Vale and Cooktown. We found a few caches in each area and noted both names on each log. There was no problem in finding this container. TFTC.

Day two and it is another early start with a drive to Cooktown as our final destination for day two of our North Queensland geocaching trip.The four of us jumped into the Bluewattle geomobile and started the day's adventure. We had a list and a few extra caches that were solved to grab along the way, which made it to the list. It was very much an adventurous time as we travelled up and then along the Bloomfield track. It was a very scenic journey and one of amazement to see the devastation in the area. Having been here just a few years before and to see it now, was a shock. just goes to show mother nature is the ruler. We left Cairns headed up to Palm Cove, to Port Douglas, through Mossman, Wonga Beach, to Wujal Wujal and Cooktown. It was some of the best caching journeys I have had, with laughs and jokes and caching stories, just great company. All the caches that we found had the logs signed and the caches replaced as found, thanks for the placements.We went to this one after the event, a nice find.
Travelling around the local districts with geo friends for a few days and enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way whilst visiting some places for the very first time.Thank you, gibbo73, for placing this cache for our benefit and enjoyment. Loved Cooktown!

A nice easy find. Thanks for taking us to a place of great cultural significance. Left two Tabs and logged accordingly. *The generic bit for this trip*We are on our way north for warmer weather. From Victoria to Cooktown, weaving inland and to the coast, caching as we go. No real plans, just taking each day as it comes and enjoying the adventure in our converted ambulance. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining caches for our enjoyment.

A caching trip from Canberra, ACT to Cape York, Qld and then around the gulf to East Arnhem Land, NT.TFTC. FTF. Nice quick find in Cooktown late at night.
Wow, what a trip! Cape York, Cairns to the tip!!! It's been a great fascination and long term goal of mine to visit Cape York but driving it, and seeing as much as I can, was just amazing and a trip of a lifetime. Thought we should grab a cache and this was the only one unfound by sacada in Cooktown. Also, still waiting for a finder since it's published a few weeks ago. A nice quick joint *FTF* find tonight, thanks for the cache.
