Weather was hot but I wanted to get some caches (particularly ones with higher D/T combinations to boost my annual average). Too hot to walk in Mt Pilot or the Warbys. Not enough in and saving Wagga for a cooler day. So this collection of poke caches at Beechworth were perfect - not too much walking but good numbers.I contacted ampitup1 to borrow her TOTT and she was keen to come along to get the last in the series that she had yet to sign (she got the last five and I signed 8 of 9 and we both walked to one other). We had 3 other tools in the car, two of which were also used at various times. This was the toughest of the day and probably one I wouldnt have got if I was by myself. That monkey was a long way up! Took one TOTT bank to the car and obtained a much longer one. I was half way up with the pole swinging around and the cache was soon retrieved. Log dry and fine here today. Pretty easy to return as well.TFTC BettyBoo3747

Its been a while since I've had some caching time, so when Thewins5 reached out to borrow my tott to complete the fishing pole series, I jumped at the chance to come along. I'd looked at these few previously, and being short and not bringing along another tott made it impossible for me to reach. Thank goodness for tall friends. Log signed and returned as found.

Have changed over the container and new log sheet in place. Hopefully this one will stay dry. Thanks Robmc and Chewinprickles.

Out today with Robmc doing some pole caching, a relative new concept to me. Certainly an improvement on ladder caches, Like the animal themes. Thanks BB

A morning's Pole Caching with Chewinprickles around Beechworth.Started as a cold morning, but was soon quite warm (after walking up a few hills!)Completed the full collection of animals. Thanks for these caches. The monkey seem to have climbed a bit higher, but he was still reachable. Thanks, Robmc.

I was out with Ronice88 today to tackle some of these new caches. With the appropriate TOTT we made short work of them. I really liked the cache containers as they were not too heavy and really quite quirky. The majority of them were spotted with no problems however I was not sure that all of them now reside in their original spots. The log was too wet to sign this one so Ive put a new log in a plastic bag in the container. Ive left the old log which was wet and mouldy in the container.

Another big high is sitting over the southern continent so a day trip from home base saw weirdobiker and I targeting a clutch of caches around Beechworth. Such a great day and monkey see monkey dobut too soggy to sign so legendary weirdobiker kindly replaced with a bag. TFTC and the FUN!

Family day out collecting this new series, so much fun! We came prepared with a 'fishing kit.' I rigged up that worked rather well when nature couldn't provide. We quickly learned that getting them down was easier than putting them back up. Happy to complete them all with a bit of time to collect some solved puzzles caches around Beechworth. We were able to use nature here, happy as the fishing kit is quite heavy.. TFTC!

Found around 4pm with Beavar. Another wet one, the lid may not have been firmly tightened. He didn't seem to mind though just wanted his log signed and to get back on high, waving his limbs at us. TFTC

All good. Paper is wet again so people need to ensure the lids are on tight! TFTC BettyBoo, another great container. SL at 16:00pm.

We are not into pole fishing... well, at least that is what Mr ILT has always said. But in a rare turn of logic we decided that it was probably best to try it first before we make that assumption. So with the MacGyver soundtrack loaded Mr ILT knocked up a 5m collapsible pole this morning and off we went.I am not going to say if we enjoyed the pole fishing or not. But I will say that tomorrows job is to find another 3m for our pole.Beautiful area around these locations, but that pretty much just describes Beechworth in general. Thanks BettyBoo3747 for the education.

**3TF** @ 11:13AM Woopwoop The girls and I did a frosty ParkRun in Wangaratta this morning before making plans for the day. We looked to see if there were any FTFs left and to our excitement there were 6!Off we went without a fishing pole so we had to improvise and luckily we were able to find suitable fallen natural poles to get the job done. This was another of the new fishing pole series so we decided to give it a go whilst in the area.TFTC BB

A little further along a familiar road we came upon some Monkey Business. We were happy with the fact that the sun was hiding in the clouds as it meant we could see exactly what this monkey was up to! SL at 2.57pm and sent him scampering back up into the tree tops. #10,980 TFTC BB

Whoo Hoo ***FTF*** Well, there was a bit of Monkey business going on, but we sorted that out quickly. Thank you, BettyBoo, for placing these caches for us to find. All good here. Now, onto the next one for the day. TFTC
