TFTC- finally found it, took us a little while as we made the error with coordinates at the start but cache owner helped point us in right direction thank you! Have to say we were hunting for a fimo sheep not a woolen spiderweb type thing that I was too scared to touch at first good fun and our first puzzle cache 3 months after starting geocaching and 252 down!
After completing this very cool series, I worked out the location of the bonus cache, had a good look around GZ, but had no luck spotting the cache. The light was starting to fade and it was time to head back home anyway. Will try again another day.
We are out in Omaha caching with Team Welsh on this cold and windy afternoon. After finding the four Trad caches and gathering the bonus information we stopped to work out the location of this cache. We made our way to GZ and began the hunt. It did not take long before one of us spotted what we were expecting to find. Thanks for a fun series of caches.
After having got all the answers we headed off to GZ. Lots of possibilities here but Mr KC spotted it and Mr TW went in for the find. Nicely blends in and always great to get a bonus cache signed off. TFTC
Finally ! Couldn't locate last time. Was using some colourful language just before making the find. Very cute container. Nice day again today. Flossieteacake texted me asking if she just saw me in Omaha - I replied "possibly" TFTC
I came up a few weeks ago with GeohoundandI before she headed back to Dunedin. We found all the caches but struggled to come up with suitable coordinates for the bonus. At home even with the checker for some reason we couldn't get anything that looked right. This morning I thought I would just try all combinations until I had the right one, because I couldn't figure out which number was wrong. No idea what we had done wrong because the first try got the green light. The hint had us confused , but I spotted something that looked out of place and then the hint made sense. At least it didn't take long to find the cache. It did take 5 times as long to get it back in place.
After collecting all the info from the 4 caches, i did the required calcs & got a promising gz. Off i walked to collect it.Spent an age at gz, struggling to interpret the hint. After a lengthy search & no find, i messaged the CO for help. I had only just hit the Send button when i found it. Phew.Although i had a (self-inflicted) hiccup completing the series, i thoroughly enjoyed it all. The theme & camo on all the caches was fabulous. Thanks. [TFTC]
**21,547**Had made some good guesses on this cache bonus final and as the checker had agreed with me I boldly set off (with yet another preconceived notion of the hint meaning) to locate this cache. Again the wheels came off and I was struggling to locate it, without a nudge from the CO I might have been lurking in the bushes a lot longer. As it was, I eventually found the very cute container but could not (with my big clumsy finger) disentangle the cache from its holder. Fortunately for me the CO was moments away and came to my rescue. Lovely to meet you Jarstrat and thank you for all your assistance today. I would give the final two favourite points (if it was at all possible). TFTC
Great series . Thank you.Jag did the sums and we were soon at gz. Cute, Well crafted final.
Three of us are up this way today, especially to focus on Jarstrat caches !( Cos they are so good! )Jag50 had written down the questions and our answers as we went....so we soon had some likely looking co ordinates!Very cool final here... Love your work....Favourite Point
Out with the Westie ladies on a sunny Autumnal day on a caching adventureThis is a fabulous mini series and would highly recommend it. We enjoyed our stroll around the area and were lucky with fabulous weather and having the area pretty much to ourselves. We found a dead bird in a tree bear gz, before zooming in to find this cleverly crafted cache. Another well crafted cache and well deserving of a favourite point. TFTC
Having done the series when it first came out I went about seeing how good my memory was. Turns out pretty good, was only unsure on one question and knew it was one of two possible answers. Unfortunately I didn't go with my gut on that but the second choice gave me the green tick. So instead of heading to Albany so we can work today (planned power cut at home all day) we first detoured to the final to make a find. Glad we did. Thought we knew what we were looking for and our guess was right and it was a very cool find {FTF} for us. Thanks heaps jarstrat. Maybe we'll have time to swing by your new cache in Albany later, who knows?
