I remember several conversations with the CO on the lack of certain alphabetic animals in our area. I also joined her on the epic search for a very tricky iguana. Following that trip, this cache was published and, no longer needing the said alphabetic animal, I decided to leave it for a day when I needed an easy find or at least until I could make full use of the rare attributes that were on this cache.Today I was heading to the Tardy Mouse event at Ashgrove and the traffic was actually kind to me, so I was running a little early. After confirming that I did need all of those nice attributes today, I decided to stop by and have a quick look. There were a few passing muggles but it wasn't too busy and I spent about 5 minutes searching before I finally spied the nicely hidden cache. Thanks Kolour for the cleverly placed cache and for the extra animals to add to my collection! No impalas or ibis were seen here today, although I have noticed an increasing number of ibises popping up on rooftops lately so I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't one nearby somewhere.
Well this is embarrassing despite the spoiler pic and an uninterrupted chance to look, I couldnt spot the container Ill be back, and hopefully in November
It has taken me some time to get to this cache which is really not too far from home. As I was passing by I decided to take a short detour to see if I could add it to my smileys. A slow walk and an eagle eye meant I soon had the cache in hand. I took it away to a nearby seat to make my mark then returned everything as found. TFTC
A tricky hide but once I thought about it more, it was safely unearthed! I was in the area doing an Adventure Lab and looked to see if there was anything else nearby. TFTC Kolour
kolour I found your cache Are there Impala or Ibis in Ithaca? on 29/7/2024, 10:30AM. This is my find 6848 and find # 2 today. Found it after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
At the leagues club for work this afternoon - made a quick find once I was done. TFTC!
After the CITO Event, I visited some local caches and this was one of them. No impala or ibis sighted. A few cockatoos and heard Broncos training . Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks Kolour. All good with this cache.
This park is quite close to my old stomping ground as I worked very nearby in the past. There was work going on in the park but they were far enough away from GZ to not be a problem for us. Thankfully the hide was discovered quickly once we reached GZ and we could sign and replaced before the next set of muggles appeared along this popular pathway. Thanks kolour
When we pulled up and noticed all the works going on we are a little concerned but luckily they were at the other end of where we needed to be. Cache found safe and dry. TFTC
With a bit of time up my sleeve, I walked here from Latrobe Tce and found some guys kicking a ball around and other muggles around. I suspect they were Broncos of one kind or another.Fortunately they soon left and I could make a nice grab. All good here so TFTC. Thanks for the exercise too.
My phone initially said quite a few meters away then my wife just puts her hand straight on the cache!!.Nice hide and nice find
Intentions were to arrive close to dusk and collect. In a car trip that usually takes 30mins, traffic delayed this to over an hour. Upon arrival it was dark and I expected to be accosted by footballers needing to have one win after a few weeks of dismal form. Dodging a few dog wielding muggles in the dark, better I suppose than rugby league players, got the torch out and started to look around. Pleasingly the search was brief with the well hidden cache found quickly. Thanks kolour for another great cache.
Having spent the day working on the house I found an hour or so to pop out and find this cache. I needed a trad today for my calendar and a lm associated challenge i closing in on.With quiet a few familys in the park stealth was required and it wasnt long before the prize was in hand, log extracted and mark made.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found. Cheers
With a little time to spare this afternoon I stopped by to pick up this cache. I even saw 3 ibises (bin chickens!) on my short walk to GZ A quick find. TFTC, kolour.
Keeping an unexpected little streak going along has become or is becoming a little hard. With no real caches close by it does mean I have to travel to keep ahead of the game. Luckily for me there was a new cache that came out a few days back of which I had left for a day like today. Just needing the one cache today I went to get this one. I parked up and walked over to spy the cache as I was approaching. Looking around and the path was clear, so I quickly signed the log and replaced all just as I was being approached by some people and a dog. Thanks for the hide and bringing me here.
Found this while in the area today. Might head over and see what the lunchtime specials are at the Broncos.TFTC
Had to be sneaky with council workers and, potentially, football players, or maybe just beer aficionados, lurking nearby. Thanks for the cache kolour
Not quite first here but did get to chat with one of the early responders. Disappointing for me because this would be one of the closest to home, but there you go. The dog and i quickly bundled ourselves into the car and drove a few blocks to the nearby carpark. As we ran along the path, wonderpup stopped at the gate to the dog park that we visit occasionally, which nearly bowled me over. Not this evening. Cache was found and all good here with this hide. Thanks very much for the cache placement kolour. CheersIn answer to the question, I have seen Ibis but no Impala. Plenty of Broncos around these parts though.
*FTF* First to Find joint with [cosmonaut97](https://coord.info/PRCAN7G) and firebatman88 at 19:39 hr.At home and looking up baby doll prams on Facebook Marketplace (dont ask), there was an excuse to slip out and miss the first part of baby Cottontails bath time, in place of a newly published geocache. A short drive to GZ and I had arrived with a torch in hand under the darkness. After a brief search around a few trees, I decided to search another area that felt like it would match the hint better, where I was successful with the prize. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. As I finished signing (aka stamping) the logbook, I was greeted by another carload of Geocachers under torchlight. After chatting to [cosmonaut97](https://coord.info/PRCAN7G) and firebatman88, we walked back to our cars, when another torch was lit up by [arewethere?](https://coord.info/PR2J301), so I decided to have another chat. The nearby playground seems to suggest that Ill be returning with baby Cottontail another time. I am also happy to report that there were not any impala during my visit, not ibis. Thanks [kolour](https://coord.info/PRDR6H9) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
