Same as last finder, I approached from a different angle and voila!! TFTC. Great view too
On my way to attend an event in Ballarat I paused to make the search. The cache was found in good condition.
I haven't driven through Maude before, but as I approached, it seemed a likely location for a geocache. Got out my phone and realised I just driven past this one. Did a quick U turn and headed for the GZ. I could see the cache relatively quickly, but needed to approach from a different direction in order to obtain the cache. All in good condition. Signed log and left as found. TFTC,
School holidays, Grand Final weekend - one solution - get the hell out of Dodge (well, Geelong anyhow!) There was only one problem with this ... we were not alone as we quickly found out when we stopped for lunch at Bunjil's Lookout. Cache one for the day, a quick find, with a passing friendly local asking if we needed help! Left a geonickel. TFTC!
A Sunday morning drive around this area to find a few caches. It was a sunny morning with some broken cloud and a strong Westerly blowing. The countryside looked great in early Spring. Thanks to steveanco for this hide. the bushes have had a spring trim but the cache is ok.
13:36After a weather imposed break from caching, we enjoyed a rock solid day of caching among the creeks, reserves, and interesting country-side of the Golden Plains. Luckily we didn't spill anything.Thank you to the CO who placed this cache.37392
Met up with my caching buddy moonbi late morning and armed with everything from gumboots and lunch headed off with a list of 16 caches. Happy to report all these were found plus several others along the way. A successful and fun day Found where expected Thanks steveanco for this rocky series
Just as I opened the cache, down came the hail! Was able to keep the cache reasonably dry thankfully. Tftc.
Arriving at gz, i heard a flutter of wings take off outa here, i dont think they appreciated my company lol. A quick search had the log signed and replaced. Such a beautiful view here. Tftc
We had a Doh moment when Mrs Riddell saw something above eye level and Mr Riddell walked around and agreed how good it was until it flew away!!!Yes, that would have been a good 3 D printer, and it was even in a nest. A decent sized crested pigeon it was.Anyhow, back to reality, it didnt take too long until the real McCoy was spotted. TFTC and the little laugh we had.
Good cache to find. Tricky to get to without being spotted by on coming muggles. Played a game of hide and seek sometimes. But good to find
Donutholes and I had planned to visit Lethbridge and Stieglitz after dinner, but our plans took an exciting turn when new geocaches were published in the area. So there was plenty more to find.Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for the traditional cache Steveanco #8,035
AusFox; and I hadn't been out for a cache in a while, so we decided to hit up some new caches in the area. A handful of FTFs were up for grabs in the Golden Plains Shire too, so that's a win We better go for those!I've played cricket against a handful of Spillers!! Some very talented sports people for sure.Coords seemed to be a little out but we got there in the end. Thanks for the hide
Sims_family asked if I was up for a caching trip today, and as I wasn't working, I said, "Yes", and we made an early start. The ladder and the kayaks were packed into and onto the Ginja Ninja, and off we went.We had some specific caches in mind and picked up a few along the way. We didn't pick up all our target caches; we decided that a couple would be more approachable after more rain. This was the second cache today, and we picked it up while driving past. We don't pass this spot very often.A quick find was made of a cache in excellent condition.Thank you for this Traditional cache, steveanco.
Heading to Ballarat today with Dromaniax for some key caches to fill in gaps for a few challenges I am working on. This one wasn't even a detour on our route to the Rat so we just had to stop for the find on the way past. It was also a must find for me as I went to school with Judy Spiller one of the family this cache is named after. Judy only short in stature affectionately used to call me Big Ed as there was well over a foot difference between our heights.Thank you steveanco for the memory of my school day so many years ago and for the smiley
After attending a CITO at Limeburners we decided to head out and get the new caches while the sun was shining. Thanks steveanco for the placement.
**FTF** Out and about with Deanside today and collecting some of these cache of the year noms.Suddenly, plans changed and we're on a FTF hunt instead. Nice quick find, TFTC
Working our way through some of the Victorian Caches of the Year , enjoying good company and not too bad weather. Tenkae discovered a pile of **FTF** were just released and we were in a quandry finish off the Twitching series or hightail to try for the FTFs. So of course we hightailed it to the FTFs. Nice to find virgin logs in pristine caches down roads the little car could drive! This was number three of our FTF run
