Well Im back in Perth for another week of work and as Im a creature of habit and routine, I wake early to get the chance to tackle this area Ive eyeballed last night. As time becomes an issue and the fact Im without transport, I need to stay somewhat local , so this morning I head out to a familiar are from my time in Perth 14 years ago.Logs signed and caches returned safely to the hiding places. A big thanks to the cache owners for making these caches available to be found by like minded individuals.

Out and about with Cirrus_WA and ICNothing for some caching shenanigans after a few weeks off.

Felt a little exposed as we hunted here with many lit windows surrounding GZ.Had the right idea fairly quickly and soon got the well camod container in hand.Always like seeing a cache hidden in plain sight, have a favourite. For the past few weeks, Tuesday night caching had been postponed for various reasons, so it was great to be back on the hunt this week.I C Nothing, monkeywand, and I started our evening in Brentwood before weaving our way toward South Perth, collecting some recent publications and targeting a few previous DNFs. After re-examining the map, we decided to cross the river into the city and West Perth, taking advantage of the quietness of a drizzly evening to grab caches in typically busy locations. We ended the night by heading further into the western suburbs to turn a few more blue faces into gold.It was great to be back out, catching up with friends and finding caches. By the end of the night, I had collected 10 finds and 0 DNFs. Thanks go to Baz_Byass for placing and maintaining the Traditional cache Get to the point for me and others to find.I added my name to the log at 22:14 on 3/9/2024.This is find number 9230 for me.

WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 64 - Swan Valley Perth Day 9. I was hoping a Sunday in some inner suburbs would make for some smooth caching. I started in Subiaco and I had a great morning. I saw some interesting places and nice parks. In the middle of the day I did the Labs at the big hospital and enjoyed seeing the huge area and Bridge. I then headed off to Victoria Park. Whilst there were some very special caches here, some were too special for me and I just left a few and spent way too long at one. I spent a bit of time in Guildford on the way home checking out another drinking hole before heading home to watch F1 and cook dinner. This was a very interesting piece of art, and I could just see the partner up the way. It took a moment to understand the hint, and then I tried it and was happy to find the cache and be able to sign the log. Thanks for the cache Baz_Byass48111.1 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & May 2024 Gates of Janus A#522**Albida**

After enjoying Sunday brunch nearby with some old work friends, I decided to make the most of the sunshine by grabbing a handful of the newer caches around Subiaco. This one was on my radar, and I was surprised by the impressive art installation which I had not noticed on this road before. I was thinking this would be an easy park and grab but my initial hypotheses as to how the nano might be hidden proved incorrect. Standing back to look at the sculpture from a different angle, a gentleman approached me to ask if I was admiring the art. Turns out it was Peter, the artist who created this feature. We had a chat about his work, and I explained geocaching to him, and what I thought I was looking for. Peter (knowing his own work intimately) pointed it out immediately. Wow - what a well imagined and constructed hide! Not sure if Peter was as impressed - perhaps bemused, bewildered, or just weirded out by the game - but he did generously pose for a photo for me. Naturally a fave point for this one. TFTC Smile

Out on a long overdue evening run with the Cockburn Crew to clean up the Northern suburbs of Perth. One of those things you sort of need to let it build up for a while before hitting it hard. Cheers Baz_Byass! Big GrinJoin us in Augusta, in Western Australias South West, for WA Goes Big 2024 (GCAGV8Y) on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September. Log your will attend now!

Chasing dreams on RnR. Or should I say geocaching. Thanks for the new hide NOR. A nice change from the stalemate we seem to have SOR where people complain about lack of new hides but dont put them out themselves. Thanks for the cache.
