An awesome place to stop to eat the ice cream out on day 1 of our holiday on the coast. Tftc
Great spot Nice to see people on the beach swimming on this sunny day. Nice camo.Fav point. Thanks
Good job here as per usual. Thanks, Jarstrat! There was a guy here over from the States, taking movies of his family swimming with a fancy camera .While I was getting cobwebby and cracking my head under the structure ( unnecessarily) Jan located it .We educated the guy about geocaching!.
Sneaky sneaky but my years of geocaching helped - remember to use your hands and eyes when searching tftc.
With the forecast for Friday being good and Saturday being rubbish, I decided to head out to Matakana today to make the most of the sunshine and to do some more caching in the area. I spent a good part of the afternoon wandering around Omaha and finding a few caches here, the weather was stunning at this point in the afternoon, it felt like summer! After a systematic search of all corners, I eventually put my hand on this very well hidden cache. TFTC!
We are out in Omaha caching with Team Welsh on this cold and windy afternoon. This was a particularly cold spot to search with the wind blowing straight off the sea. Despite the clear hint it took longer than we would have liked to locate the cache. Very happy to sign the log and head back inland. TFTC
It was very windy here today and I was very glad I'd put my good jacket on. Despite the conditions it was a busy place. I had stop looking several times and surely looked a bit odd loitering around here in this cold wind. I'm sure I tried every corner and some of them twice before I found it. Very sneaky. Thanks for the very well hidden cache
Another great cache that we found by this CO today. Very very windy at Omaha today but we were thankful there was no rain and it wasn't busy. The men of the teams found the cache and another classic camoed cache that we appreciate. TFTC
Nicely done, spotted after a bit of searching and touchy feely, the description and hint narrows down the hiding places. I will add a favourite point for the creation, CO.
Was here early thinking i would beat the locals. But nope, 5 people at the lookout having takeout coffees. Lucky they soon finished & off they went. Guess it was getting a bit crowded having me standing there taking pics.Once they left i was free to search & i found it in the first place i thought of. Nicely hidden. [TFTC]
It was a good job it had stopped raining because there was a constant stream of muggles here, so we had to wait so long until it was clear for us to have a look. One pair seemed to take so many pictures we were beginning to think they were cachers waiting for us to go away. It took a little while to find. I looked everywhere that I could, and we were about to give up when I managed to put my hand on the cache. What a cool cache. I did struggle putting the cache back without it falling down (whilst hiding from the next pair of muggles).
Took a while to find because we had to keep waiting for muggles to leave but eventually flossieteacake managed to make the find. TFTC
**21,442**Was a bit apprehensive that the area might be swarming with muggles but although the carpark was full there were very few in the vicinity of the cache hide. I ended up having the platform to myself, long enough to make the find and complete the log.
Nice find - nice views, nice construction of cache . Adding photos , oh , wait, a new cache in the area , off I go ! Many thanks
After an earlier find in the Waitakere Ranges, I opted to extend my adventure in this direction, in hopes of another first. I quite like the drive North, the motorway at this time of night is particularly pleasant. Once I got to GZ, the cache was in the second place I looked, and I was rewarded with a blank log, my third {FTF} for tonight (but first today). FP added for a well-constructed cache, TFTC!
