Thanks for the cache KillianJones. The GeoGSP's and I were head home to Hobart after a weekend on the northwest coast. We wouldn't normally come in as far as Hadspen before heading to the Midland Highway, but we decided to stop here at the dog park so they could have a short stretch of the legs before the next part of the drive. It was a nice quick find here at GZ.
Heading to Launceston for the Eagles/Creedence tribute concert and was early for once so stopped off to look for some of the new caches in the Hadspen area. Didn't tackle the climb one as we didn't have the required gear so this was the first one we looked for. Have cached in this reserve many times before but don't remember wandering up to this end before. No cats to be seen [which was just as well as they aren't allowed??] but did have to stop our search three times for dog walking muggles coming in from this end. And some kids on motorbikes in the paddock next door were also keeping an eye on us and we had to sit on the stumps and pretend we were resting every time they came down to the bottom end of the paddock. The GPS took a while to settle under the trees and we spent too long looking in the wrong places before it decided to cooperate and then took us to GZ where the container was quickly spotted. Thanks KillianJones.
TFTC. Cache and contents are in excellent shape. Thought Id come out and walk Molly the Geodog and grab all these new caches.
A trip to Launceston for work on Friday and then a days caching on Saturday before returning to Hobart. The weather was acceptable for a days caching and after an early start I had a good day. Thank you KillianJones for hiding and maintaining this cache. Found on 14 September 2024 at 11:01AM. Thanks for the cache
Jimmy and I checked this cache at 4.50pm today 9/9/24. Cache is there and intact with log book. All ok. A big tree has come down so just go carefully until it is moved.
Should have clarified that the tree is across the walking path, but no where near the cache.
Unlike the previous searcher we were able to get to the location fine but no luck finding it. Maybe worth CO checking on it?
Due to flooding cache may be lost. Will take geo -pooch for a walk and check it
Coordinates changed from:S 41 30.670 E 147 3.726Coordinates changed to:S 41 30.663 E 147 3.728Distance from original: 38.7 feet or 11.8 meters. This cache is in the same vicinity as previous hiding spot, but is now in a new container as the original one had been removed, presumably by a muggle.
This cache is up and running again . Container has been replaced and co-ordinates updated.
Jimmy geo-pooch and I checked this one this afternoon and the whole cache has disappeared I have a busy week ahead so will have to work out whether I can replace this or whether it is worth replacing as others have gone completely missing or whether I ARCHIVE this one. Stay tuned.
Found the cache in another area of Hadspen I have never been to, No cats or dogs here at the time of my visit.

Today we planned to nab all of the newer published Killian Jones caches in Hadspen we had just 2 hours to spare so we were up for the challenge of a mad dash geocache adventure!Number 10 for us i think! We got slowed by a previous DNF at Angus Visits on our way in so we were speed walking now to make up for lost time. Passed an old pooch and his muggle owner. Then a very quick retrieval and sign and we are gonna check out the bridge but we didnt bring a ladder! TFTC off to another!
When we saw the first of the caches in Hadspen published, we decided to wait until the complete set of thirteen were available. That happened this morning and this afternoon, we headed East to look for the caches. We have often driven through Hadspen, stopped a couple of times to look for some caches but had never toured around the settlement to take a systemmatic look at what the area has to offer. This series of caches provided an ideal opportunity to tour Hadspen. The series took us to a number of parks within the town and along the South Esk River - it was both an informative and enjoyable excursion. We were impressed with the care taken with the preparation and presentation of each of the caches. We found all thirteen in just under two hours. It was pleasant down by the river this afternoon. Cats would have been safe as there were no pooches enjoying the area reserved for them. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks KillianJones for the cache and the series.
One of eight newly published caches we found after being alerted to their publication.Made a quick find once at GZ. A few muggles and their pooches enjoying the area. Many thanks KillianJones for your cache placement. As the log was blank we will claim *FTF* @ 15.52hrs.
