Out for an afternoon of caching in the Yarraville area with one of pinnacle333.First for the day. A cute quick find, well hidden. Thanks Bwil47.
Out for a lovely arvo with echidna44 this was our first stop for the day. We made a quick find in this pretty park with its pink and purple flowers beds. Thanks Bwil47
After attending a CITO in Braybrook, it was time for some caching. I love these gardens, they are a peaceful oasis surrounded by busy roads. On approach I could see a large family having a birthday party, but fortunately they were not at GZ. I was able to search unimpeded and quickly came up with the cache.
Came into town for a CITO and decided to pick up the nearby SideTracked caches. Those done it was time to look for a public amenity. What better than one with a nearby cache. All in good condition here. Thanks for placing.
Suscoe had a trip to the Yarraville area today. It was sunny and mild, ideal caching weather for us.We found a nice range of hides as we went along. Thanks to yarravillain for a nice hide in a nice gardens area.
Found by The EmpireVisiting Yarraville Gardens feels like stepping into a lush, green oasis in the heart of a bustling industrial suburb. I've been coming here for many years, from growing up nearby, to the many caches that have graced this park in the history of Geocaching in Victoria. The winding paths lead you through manicured gardens filled with a variety of plant species, some native, others more exotic. The air is fresh, carrying the scent of eucalyptus from the nearby trees. A quick find. Thanks for the cache yarravillain.-M
Coming from the north side I was treated to a nice sunrise view of the city. This is a great spot I've passed by a couple times but never stopped, will have to return again with the dogs! Tftc
Dropped in to the gardens on the way home from the event.Event though it was a nice sunny day there were a lot less muggles around GZ than last time I came here.Took a little while until the rampaging mini-muggles chose a different area and I could search for the cache. By that time leafotwind had joined me, and we continued out chat. Thanks, Robmc.
Arrived here after the event to find a familiar face sitting near GZ. I thought this would be the start of a bit of a caching run but I underestimated just how much the inner westies love getting out and about on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Oh well, one of two caches found on a walk around Seddon.
We had an early finish at work today, so we grabbed a few caches and attended several events on the way home. This was one of the caches we found on the way home. There were plenty of muggles in the park today, but fortunately, none were all that close to GZ.It had been a hard day at work, so it was nice to be able to rest for a few moments and find the cache. The cache is in excellent condition.Thank you for this Traditional cache yarravillan.
TraveLLed to the inner burbs today.Hey a virtuaL drive by so why not.It was chiLLy but the sun was out as I signed the Log.TFTC
Found by caughtatwork on 02/06/2024 at 2:46:00 PMA quick find.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1
Rated: for Overall Experience
Found at 14:20I was on my way home and was looking for somewhere to eat my lunch. As a bonus I say at the table with the cache under it.Thanks yarravillain for the cache
A quick find for a change, It was good to sit down and have a rest and a snack before getting on with caching. Thanks for the getting me here.Greytiger
After being away for a bit it is now back to suburban or rural caches after work to try and beat my last streak of 67.It is just a personal challenge that Im working on and Im going to try and make it to 150.So it is now decision time to either take a small detour on the way home or a larger detour on the way home to find a cache to keep this going. So todays detour was a small one to Yarraville and surrounds. This one was the third cache that I tried as the other 2 GZs that I went to were all muggled out and I was getting a bit worried. So I sat down and contemplated what was going on around me and I soon had the cache in hand.I added my name to the log and I was on my way. Thanks Yarravillian TFTC.
I found this cache on my Mega Walk #21 - a 29,000 step walk from Newport to Yarraville and then onto West Footscray. A pretty park that we had not visited for a while, with previous finds here being in 2006, 2009 and 2010. 2024 was soon added to that list. Thanks from D B-A
Out on a maintenance run and dropped past, but the tables were all setup for a birthday celebration, and place was muggle central! This was at 10:15am! I will return hopefully when it is a bit quieter. Thanks, Robmc.
There were a few people in the area walking their dogs and enjoying the cool autumn morning. I remained ever so stealth like and had the goods in my hands in no time. Thanks for another placement in the area.TFTC W074
Rebel Acts and I went on a geocaching mission, exploring the bay and Yarraville. It was a great day of outsmarting tricky hides, resulting in a solid day of caching fun.Cheers for the cache
Out and about with omegaman, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. This was a really nice garden and location to visit, we had no trouble finding the cache. Thanks Bwil47 for the cache.
Nic and quick find. Dropped by here for a quick walk and to find this cache. Love these types of hides.TFTC
Joint *FTF* with LVsnooksDecided to go on a mini caching adventure in the city today to attend a geo-event at Wesley Place and grab a couple of other caches in Spring Street. Signed up LVsnooks as an official geocacher on the train on the way in, so this was her first official day of caching rather than tagging along as a muggle. We decided to have Friday lunch at Pelligrinis after finding a couple of caches, and just as we were eating our spaghetti is when the phone started buzzing saying a couple of new caches had been launched in Yarraville. So after finishing our meals it was a quick dash to Parliament Station to get the next train back out to the car and head straight to Yarraville Gardens. I navigated our way to GZ and LVsnooks spotted the cache. Our first joint FTF on LVsnooks' first official day of caching
Joint *FTF* with Nel&AndyNel&Andy and I went in the city today to attend a geoevent at Wesley Place and then found a few caches afterwards. We were sitting having lunch in the city when Nel&Andy said a couple of new caches had been launched in Yarraville. We finished our lunch, got back on the train and came straight to Yarraville Gardens to try for a First to Find. A FTF on my first official day of caching! Thanks for the cache
