17:09Sneaky hide! I went around several trees and hoped that the cache is not in one of the hollows filled with gunky water. And it wasn't - all.dry in the sneaky hidey hole here!Kia ora! Paldies! Thanks for the cache, ClarkvilleCottage!#11535
Found it inside a dirty drink bottle covered in juice. Have put it back where it makes sense to go.
No worries finding. Having done a big walk earlier I didn't explore the area this visit
A lovely winters day, and StreetWalkerNZ and I needed a few finds, so we decided to meet up at this cache after lunch then carry onto another unfound one not far too away.Despite me driving and SW cycling, he got to GZ first and had cache in hand by the time I got there. All I had to do was sign the log book, then SW showed me where the cache had been hiding. Even at this time of day, there were a few people out and about, using the path. Now to carry on along Barnes Rd towards Main North Rd - I had forgotten what a slalom course it is. Luckily didn't meet any other cars coming in the opposite direction. TFTC.
#24088. I was keen to find a couple of caches at lunchtime, so teamed up with Troodles (who was keen to find four). I arrived quite early at this cache (having overestimated how long it would take to bike to GZ from work) and soon located the cache. Then I head to wait about 10 minutes for Troodles to arrive. Thanks for the nicely hidden cache. When it was published I presumed it was on one of the new sections of cycleway, but it turned out to be on a longstanding cycleway that connects the two new bits. Interesting to ride the two new bits today. TFTC.
We were out for a walk and decided to check if there was a cache. No pen with us but here's a photo of proof
Stopped by this one after getting the nearby challenge. Great little place for a cache.
I am staying in Christchurch with a geocaching friend for an extra long long weekend. But her family are NOT morning people, so after the three S's and some breakfast and still no sign from the rest of the household I grabbed the keys and headed out the door.NIce easy find along the way. Yep, I am pretty sure it is past dawn now. Hard to tell with all that cloud. Will they be up yet? Nah - probably not!
I tried to find this cache a week ago when I particulary needed to find micro sized cache to satisfy a challenge. After faffing around moving piles of leaves around and poking and peering into all sorts of crevices for about 20 mins I reluctantly gave up and had to cycle 8kms to sign my next nearest micro-sized unfound cache. After doing all all my self-appointed domestic chores this morning, hoping to earn a few brownie points from SWMBO (sometimes), I got out the treadly and decided to explore more fully the new extension to the railway cycleway. Thus I found myself back at the leaf piles. This time I was determined to locate the cache, so set about giving GZ a methodical search. This bore fruit when I found a place that I had noticed on the last visit. Yea![^] Thanks for the placement ClarkvilleCottage.
Another nice reserve we didn't know was there, and trust us to arrive with lots of School Children heading home throu there We took a wee while to track it down.(Excuse the Pun.)TFTH.
Thanks for hiding this cache ClarkvilleCottage I appreciate it. ?? We decided to find this on the a bike ?? ?? ride near my parent's house. We had lunch there first. Mum had baked bread ?? which was delicious. I have been eyeing up this cycle path every time I have visited them.
Took a few minutes to find but eventually spotted something and that was it. Talk about muggle central. The kept coming from all directions. It was hard to look inconspicuous but I think I did ok. TFTH
Now this was a spot we had no idea existed!!! So time for a wee explore. Found the cache with accurate coords and a good hint. Thank you CC.
A quiet spot at nearly noon on a Sunday. Not really sure where it is supposed to be but leaf litter is keeping it hidden for the meantime. Thanks for the hide.#10384
We scratched around for a while and then found it uncovered where we had looked at the start. TFTC
