Here with a previous finder & cache wasnt to be seen anywhere. Checked a few other spots either side without luck.
Out and about with some of the family today, showing off some of Auckland's better spots. Made for a nice easy find here on a lovely afternoon. TFTC!
Well, well. This one required some extra stealth because of campers some 100m away within plain view. The most probable location was determined during an innocent stroll along the roped off dunes in the afternoon. But to get the cache in hand I had to wait for darker twilight.Log is perfectly dry and plenty of room left. Thanks for the extra fun finding this cache in the dark!
Nice listing Being back in New Zealand for a while its lovely to have some time tondi a bit of cachingHere in this part of the northern island Im not that often , but these many caches are here It was a delightful day with nice weather and the walk was not too difficultFound wellTftc
I was out for a wander around Wenderholm this afternoon and took the opportunity to find a few recent caches while here. Thankfully, due to the cloudy and windy day, the grassy area here wasn't too busy, so I made a quick find of the cache in the obvious place. TFTC!
After returning to the auto, having completed Vin's Track, the younger future finder and I took a short break to have a snack and rehydrate. After that, I parked up in the main car park to start a mini walk out to the point. On the way back we passed, by design, this ground zero. Ground zero was very obvious and the cache was a super quick find. Cheers for the cache placement!
**21,846**Being in the area for the second time today, decided to reduce our carbon footprint a bit by grabbing a couple of other caches, thus being the last one before we left the area again. Another quick find there and a quick return to the van. Write the park ranger could complain about the dogs in the van. TFTC
I walked right passed it, but eagle-eyed hubby found it in no time. Liked the camo of the container. Forgot to bring a pen, so took a photo instead.
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there currently staying up Matakana way for a few days we went for a bit of a drive & ended up having a walk around Wenderholm Regional Park this was easy find, in the rain, with no-one else around to disturb us at all pleased to add a 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS #5,537 for Us!
All was quiet when we drove down into Wenderholm, apart from the 500 road repairs vehicles parked up ready to resurface the entrance road. We made our way across the squelchy grass, being viciously chased by an entire flock of piwakawaka. We thought it would be nice and quiet at GZ but there were people sat at a picnic table, how dare they! And then somebody walked through!Anyway, instead of wearing hi-viz to blend in, today we had GeohoundandI and her camera, so at least it looked like she was taking close up pictures of birds and not retrieving a cache and signing the log.
Found with flossieteacake. Didn't take long to find. We also saw a lot of fantails that were following us around. TFTC
We were serenaded by a group of fantails as we made our way to gz. A nice quick find here. TFTC
We arranged to meet up with Team Welsh in Orewa this morning. We found a few new caches in the surrounding area, then headed to Wenderholm for a few more. Always nice to go for a wander around here. Cache was hidden as expected, thanks,
Always a pleasure to come to Wenderholm and there was hardly anyone around. Nice wander over to GZ where we signed the log and replaced with care, as always. TFTC
A couple of new caches had popped up in Wenderholm but I was busy so left them for someone else. Noticing they were still unfound I made a quick early morning trip up the road to rectify that. Absolutely no one around this early so had no problems with muggles but I did have 3 piwakawaka accompany me on my walk to this one. Another nice easy find for {FTF} at 7.20am. It was a stunning sunrise this morning too
