We did not know what to expect with the POI series but we were so pleased that we did attempt the series. Each cache location had significance and we learnt much about the history and activities in the area. Whilst some caches were good, the majority were superb. This is a great series that we recommend highly to all cachers.Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a familiar style of hide. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks doscrapbooking for this cache - it earns a favourite from us for explaining the term "corduroy" to us..
After doing the first cache on this track I went back and hitched up my horses to my coach and hit the road to follow the Cobb and Co path. Really enjoying the trip. Probably a bit better. track today tho. Great caches and great interesting signs on the way. Thanks for the cache.
Had fun following this interesting history trail made by Cobb & Co so many years ago. All good with these caches. FP. TFTC.
This run was a very interesting series of caches. Each POI was actually a true Point Of Interest and worth visiting. Most of the containers were hand crafted and all were in good order. We would probably not have travelled this road with ilook4geo or followed the Cobb & Co wheel tracks, except for this caching trail. Thanks go to doscrapbooking for creating this series.
Found the cache, had a read of the info then took a walk to see the corduroys. How interesting. (A forerunner to our maxitrax we think. ) Thank you.
{FTF} @1550I am on my way to Roma to visit my sister for the week-end and do some geocaching together. I came from the South because of these new geocaches that were published along this road. I was hoping they would not be found by the time I got here so I could collect a few 'first to find's' on my way to Roma. Only a little detour. I am also hoping that one of these new geocaches will be my 15,000th find. A history trail is always a interesting way to create a geocaching trail because geocachers can learn something as they go along. A quick find. A fav pt as well. I have left the FTF prize for someone else. Thanks for the cache.
