Having been on my feet for a large chunk of the day, i nearly didn't attempt this as it only had 22 faves. Then, I realized that they were only since June. Made the easy find, easy google searches and opened it in record time (probably not though).Love the construction, obviously out of wood, too.

We headed into Cornwall Park bright and early this morning to make some adjustments to the Adventure Lab we have here. Once that was sorted we headed over to the Cornwall Park cafe for a yummy breakfast which we enjoyed as the sun shone down and the birds sang from the trees. We noticed this newish cache wasn't too far away and were very keen to look for it, especially after reading the description. It's always nice to find a gadget cache and we love the bird themed one that is also hidden in the park.We headed over to GZ and soon spotted the awesome cache. There was a family having a picnic nearby but not too close to get in the way of our mission. We had a look at the information at GZ, worked out what we needed to do and soon had what we needed to access the logbook. What a fun puzzle and such a great reward inside, very nicely done.We signed the logbook and returned everything to the state we found it before heading off to explore more of the park. Thanks cornwallparknz for an excellent gadget cache. A favourite point from us.

We arrived early for the Home Show so decided to come over to this cache in advance to burn up some time. What a good looking cache. Soon had the idea of what to do but the initial attempt was a fail as we got one of the trees wrong. A quick google and we resolved the error and we were in. Fav point from us as this cache had quite a bit of effort put in.

Matagouri is spending a couple of days in Auckland doing work 'stuff', so I've tagged along for a bit of a caching adventure. I was dropped off at Cornwell Park to begin my day, which was nearly 8 hrs of wandering around Auckland. I'm not sure how many k's I covered, but it was a lot!!!This was a great cache to start my day with. I got one wrong on my first attempt but soon realized what to change and bingo, I was in.Thanks for setting up this great cache.

Up with ABCDF4 and eyespyben again. A wet day but spent time grabbing caches before we were too wet and headed back to the Waikato. Came here thinking cache may offer shelter to have lunch before heading home. The only shelter was the umbrellas we were holding. I knew 3 of the trees so it turned out to be an easy solve. Signed it and we were on our way. Thank you for the placement.

This morning I went to my 7th parkrun and my first one at Cornwall Park. My official finish time was 30:45 which made me very happy since I've been aiming for sub-31 Smile It was such a beautiful (if chilly) morning, so it was no trouble to go walk through the park afterwards to find this cache. I found the similar Birds one a while ago and have used it as an introduction for a few new cachers so I was expecting Trees to be just as good. I wasn't disappointed. It was easy to find and solve, a wonderful design that fits in so well with its surroundings, and a nicely presented interior that made me happy all over again. No TBs in residence; NINO since I hadn't brought any with me.TFTC Smile(#2370)

I had arranged to meet kiwicouple here today to start our days caching. Lots of dog walkers about and as it was early there was plenty of parking. Soon spotted what we wanted and could identify the trees required with no problem. Put the numbers in but couldn't get it to open, double checked we were right, and we were, Mr KC then figured out something about pushing it in before you could open it. Anyway, once we had gained entry we were suitably impressed with the scene that lay before us and the nicely crafted cache. Signed the log and replaced all as found and ensured the lock was reset. Lovely cache and what we would expect with Georick involved. Many thanks for creating this.

Bapgirl and I were out and about getting new caches earlier this afternoon, and as we hit 999 finds, I knew I needed to find something special for my 1000th. Given that the sibling to this cache is one of my favourites of all time, I figured that we would probably be in for something equally special here, and we were not disappointed. Getting to GZ was a slippery affair, given the current ground conditions, but we did manage to make it down and back up the hill without falling over, which was an absolute win. Once at GZ, I was able to identify one of the four requirements by eyeball, and after a bit of research, we made a successful first attempt at the puzzle. Another wonderful hide, thank you so much for all of the work that goes into these, and I couldn't think of a better hide for my 1000th find. FP added, TFTC!

This was our last full day in Auckland & I went out to the airport to pick up our hire car ready to begin our tour of North Island tomorrow. This also allowed me to visit some caches that had on my list but trickier to get to.After parking up in Cornwall Park, this was my next stop as it sounded interesting. The cache was easily spotted on approach & then the fun & games began. If this had been UK trees, I would have found it very straightforward. But as a visitor to these shores it was much tougher. However, *Google* was my friend & I managed to work out the combination, although the padlock didn't seem to want to open. I tried a couple of alternatives but still didn't have any joy, so was at a bit of a loss.I double checked my answers & was sure that I had the right numbers. So I fiddled with the padlock & found that I needed to encourage it to open by giving it a little bounce! I've not come across this type before, but it has come in handy since! So I was very pleased to sign in here after a little longer than had been necessary. I picked up the trackable to move on before replacing everything carefully.Found at 12:21Cache #10401TFTC cornwallparknz

GeohoundandI is heading back to Dunedin tomorrow and Daddypig's Assistant is going with her for a week, so they decided that regardless of the weather we should have a family picnic today. GeohoundandI knew all of the trees so she got the padlock open. The door was jammed by the TB which had escaped from its box so we used Daddypig's keys to shove it back to get the door open. Their picnic looked a bit more civilised than our crisp butties in the car!Took the TB with us.

Had a good day, took my e-bike along on the trains from out west to Greenlane then a short ride to here, Cornwall Park. It was a gorgeous day for it and once at GZ I was greeted by a very cool cache! I have yet to find out who did what here. I know I didn't do the building work here this time round. I too had to do some googling, I only recognised 2 of the 4 items. But got there on my 2nd attempt. Wow, what I saw inside was as cool as the artwork, can't say anymore than that. Took several photos for posterity. Well Georick, that is very cool and a def FP from me. I hope this stays here for a very long time and look forward to seeing other logs.

Out to collect a cache for the winter solstice souvenir. This cache popped up, and as it was close to home I went out for a drive. There was plenty of parking on a weekday afternoon close to GZ. It was easily spotted as I surveyed the area from the carpark and with help from google soon retrieved the logbook. I was greeted with an amazing site when i opened to cache. Thanks for placing this well constructed cache cornwallparknz, a fav from me.

JAG was in the area today and wanted to pick up a cache to earn the Solstice souvenir. This newly published cache sounded intriguing, and so was a perfect target for today.Being midweek there was plenty of parking available in Cornwall Park today, and it was just a short stroll to gz where the cache was spotted on approach. WOW - what an amazingly constructed cache! Jag soon worked out what was required here (and pleased to say NO googling was required) and opened it up to find the secrets within. Unfortunately there were no TBs to collect today, and we had none to drop off. Thanks for this treemendous cache which gets an easy favourite point from us

When I saw this had been published, I was getting ready to watch England vs Serbia in the Euro 2024 football tournament. Then I neede to take Micro McArgister to school. And then start work. Luckily though I was working from home today, so at lunchtime I popped out here to investigate. The fantastically constructed cache container was spotted on approach and after a brief bit of Google research I had gained access to the wonders within. A blank log and a shiny prize for my efforts (thank you for that!) plus a bonus surprise! Another high quality cache in this high quality park, well deserving of a fav point from me! Thanks to you and @GeoRick for this treemendous cache!By the way, England laboured to a 1-0 vs Serbia, but its definitely coming home! (FTF) #373
