I am hoping to get 1000 caches (without AdLabs) this year but also trying to get an average of 2/2 for all these caches. I am on over on the T at the moment but just short of the D. So getting a few more challenging caches around Mt Pilot was the aim today. Only a few caches found but some nice country traversed. Came straight down the hill from the Clearing to the Link Track (glad I didnt go up that way), then a couple of hundred metres along the road and then back into the bush. Found GZ quickly enough and was halfway on my first loop when I found the cache. TB drop as I signed the log and then a beeline back to Warden road (and another Montane Ochre) and back to the car.TFTC Bingley3683
Out and about today exploring Mt Pilot area and thought we might visit the Blue Bird . After a leisurely stroll and a bit of a search, the cache was in hand. Thank you, Bingley, for placing this cache here for me to find and showing me around this beautiful park. All good here. Have taken PT. TFTC
The weather was a vast improvement on yesterday, so a drive and walk in the Chiltern/Mt Pilot Forest was a welcome outing. Very quiet in the forest today and no wildlife to be seen either. We eventually found the Bluebird after a couple of creek crossings. SL at 10.50am Left: harrows pathtag and road construction man. #11,105 TFTC Bingley - one wonders how you find these random things in the bush! We found some interesting fungi on our way back to a main road.
A drive with the better half this arvo, haven't been back to Mt Pilot NP for a while, so I was happy to see this new cache here. Drove into GZ and made the short walk over to the object of interest. After a bit of a look around, I spotted it. Some intresting looking moss growing out of the engine bay!TFTC! FP awarded for highlighting this place.
Joint [FTF] with Jacko*I was just about to get stuck into the housework when I saw a notification for a new Bingley cache. It was an easy decision to head out and enjoy the winter sunshine and a drive in the bush. I parked reasonably close and wandered the rest of the way in.I looked, I poked, I prodded, and I looked again. No luck. Then along came jacko*. I mentioned a place that I hadn't looked as I had trouble accessing, and yahoo cache found within minutes. Log sign, and cache returned as found. Thanks, Bingley, another smily in the bush
##Published - thanks for contributing to Geocaching with this Listing.##*Don't forget that regular visits to check on this cache will keep it healthy as well as keep seekers happy. Be sure to log an Owner Maintenance log each time you visit to check on the cache.*>***The challenge for any Cache Owner is not to place the smallest possible container . . . . . . . but the largest.***
Ftf with Ampitup. I met ampitup at GZ and she had already taken a look but hadn't found the cache. So we got together and had another good little scratch around until the container was located. I remember having a few of these cars laying around my yard in the late 90's I had all intentions of doing them up into a fully sick car. Truth is they weren't much better than this one and at that age I had the attention span of a goldfish so never got far with them.TFTC.
