Interesting choice of four locations for this cache.Found on a very hot day with Fatoz. Fatoz might be the shyest cacher ever, so he won't log the find.An interesting name for a puzzle which, for many people, will involve that anti-anti-social activity that some call communication. Thanks Laighside Legends for something a bit different. Loved all the banksias near GZ.
The GOBBLES are not so anti-social, quite the opposite really. We like to be social even though we live in three different states! So the idea of being anti-social for this cache wasnt ideal! Googlehihihi and ozbuckeye being the locals in this situation, decided we had to be anti social for once and were chief leaders of the puzzle solving. Being anti-social paid off for once and we were rewarded with some coordinates I was out caching with Scaphoid this evening and was pretty keen to come and find the final! Once again we were not being anti-social by finding this as a team, so broke more rules of this cache! However the hill to GZ was so steep that we were forced to be anti-social, not great to be chatting when youre out of breath. Once at GZ we thought this would be a really tough cache to find in the dark, but realised it was a tree climb which limited the options & soon enough the container was spotted! Thanks for the puzzle & hide
Being relatively new to caching there is a lot that Im discovering and enjoying. One of those things that is a new discovery is caching trips. Loci612 and I had discussed a trip to Sydney for a specific event, unfortunately, I couldnt make the event but I was still able to enjoy a good few days of caching with friends.Day 1 was all about this gorgeous area before a chill event in the afternoon and a few caches in the evening to finish off the day.Well into the night now Loci612 and I were in the mindset of 'just one more' which brought us to this cache. What an incredible concept for a cache! The cache itself was found safe and sound by Loci, and we were soon moving out, and onto the next! Thanks for the cache!
After holding done one leg was rewarded with a cache after a late night raid. TFTC Laighside Ledends Cheers
This one was right up my alley in terms of an old guy getting up a tree and staying there to retrieve, sign and replace. Came down with the squid pole, but that was not going to do the trick. TFTC
Nothing like visiting a local cemetery at midnight....in the end, it was a good decision as other players also occupied other strategic locations and we soon had some numbers to work with. As the sun was setting this evening made our way to GZ where we made the find. With the cache in hand, we signed the log then replaced as found. Thanks for the cache Laighside Legends. The following TBs came through for the mileage: Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Mary Hyde's Treasure, Stuart geoMinion, teamMerlin's 7 Deadly Ducks Tag (Lust), Vanlith The Youngling, Hidden Creatures Geocoin TB, teamMerlin's Football, Merlin's Steed
Out caching. So was EverestHigh. I found the cache. So did he. TFTC Laighside Legends
Why an Anti-Social cache? Was it GCHQ's ruling to Archive all Mob Caches (which were very social, and built GC Community)? Will this encourage the use of location simulators, and Multi-IP Apps, etc.? Will it increase Grumpy Geocacher behaviours? All of the above! I walked ahead on my own, looked up a different tree, climbed my ladder and SL alone. OCW 'with' MaxAdventurer, but he had to climb and SL alone. No FP. And def no impropmptu BO'C afterwards. NTFTC Laighside Legends
Missed it by that much. A very nice puzzle what was very anti social . Only could solve it 2 hours after publication so thats a disadvantage. Solved and still unfound and went over here but I think we saw the gom car. Will check next time. Anyways a nice climb here and thanks for the excitement which is something new Sydney caches dont often do. Overall a great cache. TFTC
I could easily cover the Hornsby or Mt Colah sites if someone wants to make a team. Hornsby about a 15 minute walk or Mt Colah a 10 minute drive.
