Wooohooo I found this geocache before being eaten alive! It was a quiet Sunday afternoon and I started the search. I twisted and pulled and poked and prodded a particular item with all the confidence of thinking it must be the geocache and If only I could just open it up a little bit more I was sure a log would come out. nope I came up empty-handed hmmm well on to Plan B and I had a little bit of time to wait whilst a train pulled in and the muggles dispersed. This is when I noticed I was very very bitten by many many mosquitoes. Armed with an old bottle of mosquito spray from the car, I tried again whilst spraying away and widening my Search it turns out my GPS was slightly out and finally, I had a very well concealed geocache in hand ended an empty bottle of mozzie spray in the other!Thank you for this devious hide
After 15-20 minutes of meticulous searching finally Geo wife went back to start and located. Hint is a help
TFTC! 15 October 2024 5:35:38pm 8630 thanks to Ash_kev for the cache! Found it eventually, after awaiting out the train passengers. it gave vibes of another difficult cache!
Following on from replacing the log at SideTracked - Stony Point, we made our way here for a look.It was +Wife that spotted the hide whilst I was looking in all the wrong places.Happy Wedding Anniversary to us.
In the area with n0w0rries doing a spot of cache maintenance at the end of this line. It's our wedding anniversary today, so what else to do?Go geocaching, of course.I spotted the cache from the car and Rod retrieved it.Thanks for the sneaky little hide Ash_kev
Well, I was expecting to settle in fir a long hunt this morning. Area was very quiet with school holidays and all so had place to myself. Strategically parked the car to hide my search from nearby reaidents and began the hunt. Ehat do you know? Cache was the 2nd thing I touched - woo hoo!!!! Doesn't often happen that way on these smaller ones for me. Happy days. Great hide TFTC
DFN Spent a good 20 minutes looking tried to follow hint but sun started to set and mozzies were coming out. We will be back!
Found today after a couple of unsuccessful attempts due to some rather unkempt looking teens heading over to GZ bound for the Stony Point line. But regardless with the sun setting on the station tonight and with a helpful pointer I was able to successfully retrieve this one before any muggles came to disrupt my search. Signed, logged and returned and with the lays rays of light falling over the horizon I returned home. Thanks for the cache and the little adventure.
Out and about with omegaman, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. This was one evil hide. Thanks Ash_kevs_caches for the cache.
Omegaman1971Support Your Local Villain Live - Laugh - Lurk First To Find: 183Sidetracked Cache Finds: 133It was great to see the sun out today, and even better to be doing some caching with Rebel Acts. I always enjoy caching down this end of the state, Cheers for the cache.
A quick find although I think your Hint is wrong haha. I really loved this one Ash_Kev, a favourite for sure although apparently I am out of favourite points so hopefully I can add one later? Looking forward to more from you!
Found it , there was no one about so was able to have a good look around. Thanks for the hint and the sneaky little guy was found. Tftc
We struggled with this one. We wandered around for ages thinking we knew what we were looking for.We were getting close to calling it off when we found the right object. As we signed the log we were reminded of the numerous visits we made to the Bittern Market. Thanks Ash_kev for the challenge.Chiefton!!!
Another nicely done cache, well done! Luckily the hint made it obvious where to search and within 5 minutes I was signing the log sheet, nice and quiet here today so no muggles getting in the way of searching! TFTC! Another FP to you for another clever little hide, looking forward to your next placement!
Second to Find at 8pm [STF]Oh well, we tried! It appears we are second to find this cache! On unrolling the log to sign, another geocacher had got to this log already and signed that FTF box - congrats!.... but it appears they haven't had a chance to log here online yet.... I heard the notification from HQ that another cache had been released in my zone around 3pm, but we already had plans to be elsewhere. Good news was we'd be in Hastings later that afternoon and Crib Point isn't too far away, so whilst cheering our footy team on the big screen and enjoying a nice dinner at our favourite Hastings Pub, I kept checking this cache's log to see if anyone had found it yet, it appeared no one had, could we be in for a FTF???... well our team unfortunately lost so we decided to give this cache a go and raced off to the car... once we got to the location it was a quick jump out of the car and we were so glad no one was around, coming here at night has it's advantages! After searching high and low, under and around...my husband yelled out "is this it?" And indeed it was! Now at the time, no one had logged online to claim the FTF, so we were excited, but as I unrolled the log, there it was, someone else's signature... oh well! Always another chance another day! So we signed and dated the second spot on the log. Well done on a tricky cammo cache, and thank you for placing another one out into the world. We had fun finding it.
Right place at the right time when this little gem popped up on the app! I was nearby and raced over with the kids. Didnt have time to log on the app as the kids were tired and cranky and so we left after I carefully put the cache back in its hidey spot. Oops! Such a clever cache! Ashkev youve done well! Took me a good 20 mins of searching high and low before the hint clicked and sure enough cache was soon in hand. TFTC
Find 3301Good to see some new caches appear in the area.Arrived at GZ and no muggles around. Commenced the search and then about 12 people appeared for the train.Back in the car to wait for them to move on gave us a chance to think more carefully. All of a sudden the penny dropped. Back to searching and almost straight away the cache was located.Log signed and all back safe again. Thanks so much for your cache.
