My partner and I are on a road trip from the NSW/Vic border to Mandurah for a wedding and we are caching along the way. We heard about this great gadget series from a fellow cacher that had attended the WA Goes Big in 2024 in Augusta and said it was well worth doing. This was a cleverly constructed cache and another one that deserves a favourite point. This cache was a bit easier than I thought it was going to be after reading the hint
Found it. TFTC pood. Teamed up with Ullyssia and papillion367 for the WAGB weekend. Happy to make a find here. The log was signed as "PUPP" (papillion367, ullyssia, and Photo-Play) Apologies for all the generic logs but most have a fav' with them. A lot of work and brain power went to this excellent series, thank you. Replaced as found.
Fifth and final day of our trip to Augusta for the WAGB 2024. Hoping to pick up most of the caches around town and on the way home to Perth. Thanks to all for placing and maintaining these caches. All is well here! Tftc!
Thank you for the fun cache and amazing series pood!Teamed up with ullyssia and Photo-Play during the WAGB24 long weekend in Augusta. We split off on Sunday, with ullyssia and myself boating up and down the Blackwood River with olthomas while Photo-Play focused on caches on land, including this series. After hearing how amazing the caches were, I thought that Id take a look before logging them since I had extra time in Augusta with the family - and the series definitely lived up to expectations! Only had time for 1/2 the caches today, will complete tomorrow ??. Logs signed as PUPP.
Stopped off here on the way home from WAGB24. We really ran out of time and only had time for a few of these today. I had been told how good they were and I wasn't disappointed. I can't wait to come back and complete the rest. TFTC
We packed our lunch and TOTTs for today was our day to hit this trail. We had heard favourable reports on it and decided to stay on in Augusta for that reason. All has gone quiet, as most geocachers have gone home, but we heard a vehicle and car doors behind us part way along the trail. All caches were in good condition and most found easily.Thankyou pood for all the effort you have put into this series. It kept us amused for several hoursTFTC SL TB's visited
Found this one on the 22/09/24, great to see out back out in the wild after some maintenance issues. Thanks Pood for getting it back out there so quickly TFTC
Find 22 of 33 on our last day in Augusta for WAGB. We almost cleared the map with a walk above the inlet, a drive out to Cape Leeuwin and a bike ride around Augusta township, before driving out to make a start on the Holland Track. An excellent day to round off WAGB, so thanks to all the COs for their efforts in creating, placing and maintaining these caches. No lock at the moment. Enjoying the Shrek references very much - what a good series of films.
After a wonderful weekend of caching around Augusta for WAGB24, it was time to pack up and head for home. I had heard how good this series was and couldnt resist finding a few of them before resuming the journey home. Very impressive. Ill be back to complete the rest of the series sometime soon. Favourite point from me. Tftc pood
Youngest son was keen to find a cache but even though it was literally staring him in the face I had to help. He loved it though. Tftc
Today is day three of the WAGB weekend - Sunday. The day started with a sunrise event at the Old Town Jetty in Augusta , what a beautiful start to the day and certainly a fantastic location , it was a pleasant surprise to see that many people so early and it was actually quite mild. After collecting a nearby cache with twenty other geocachers we made our way to the Bakery to fill up before a full day of geocaching. We then headed out of town to the Holland Track series . We paired up again with the Pommie Parkins which made it a very enjoyable morning. Wow the range of caches, was fantastic , so much time, effort and imagination has been put into this series and we are very grateful to the Poods for organising and maintaining this series , we gave each one a favourite point . We actually bumped into Pood at one of the caches they had been on a maintenance run which was nice . There were also several other geocaching combinations along the way. The bush around here is very enjoyable and there are lots of wildflowers out and also lots of bird life everywhere. After collecting this series we set our minds on the nearby challenge caches and just the two of us headed there. We had qualified for 8 of the 11 and we only like to collect them once we have qualified so we collected eight and a traditional before making our way back into Augusta for more geocaching. We complete part of the Monopoly Series headed to the view and also had a nice walk at the end of the day to collect the Scooter Fun caches . Now just the CITO and the pub dinner event to go . All in all another wonderful day of geocaching .
Found by Mary and David at 13:40. We saw this one at dinner last night, and were delighted to find it in the wild today. Our thanks to pood.
We prearranged to meet Diadem & Taurus & ebenie at the letterbox to do this series but somehow the message got mangled and ebenie was waiting at the other end. Well why wouldn't we do it back to front! We did meet in the middle and I think she enjoyed it as much as we did.TFTC poodHere goes my stash of favourites again!
Enabled after cutting the padlock off, and redoing it with a different configuration. Thanks for your patience.
Out and about with familysteiner on WAGB24. Grabbing some smilies of course Tftc very excited by this series.
Down in Augusta for WAGB24 for a fun filled weekend with lots of laughs a few shenanigans and a bucket load of caches. Teamed up today with fellow Fott members AlliedOz, Kyzabra & SmplyR3dd along with the usual tag-alongs in rokadz & The Fitzys. After singing the logbook at the main event we set off on our 2nd leg for the day, The Holland track series and I have to say the CO's went above and beyond here. Every hide was excellent, well themed and different with a few unexpected challenges thrown in here and there. Dished out a few favourite points in these parts. Most caches were found without too much trouble at all, apologies for the generic logs. Logbooks for the day were signed Fott&F or F&F (Fott & friends).Couldn't open the lock on this one as it seems it was reset. Thought about for a bit and since I couldn't get to the log I cant claim the find. I'll be sure to grab it next time I'm down this way and will give it a favourite then as well. pood I couldn't find your cache, this was my 1st DNF for the day. I did have 89 finds today so all is not lost.TFTH
In Augusta for the WAGB 2024 celebrations. We are on the road again hunting down some more smilies. Thanks for this adding to our fun today.Great work, pood. They all deserve a BIG FAVE.
What a fantastic series - grandies would have loved it. Although we have seen most of these hides on our various travels with iluvtrekking, we reckon both Mr and Mrs pood have excelled in the manufacture and execution of their versions. Have to admit to gleefully feeling like kids again as we found each on the track. Thanks for a wonderful morning??
Found the candy cane easily. Unable to open as it seems the code has been reset. A PAF confirmed we had the correct code. Contacted the CO and have retrieved the container at their request. Headed out early this morning early to grab the letterboxes, the holland track series and a few more. Logs signed as FOTT and Friends or F&F. After missing WAGB for the last 2 years, Im excited to be here in Augusta. Its great to see everyone old and new. Looking forward to seeing all the teams make it down to WAGB this year in Augusta as well as finding all the amazing Caches that have been placed by the locals for all to find.
Headed down to Augusta today en route to WAGB24 via a heap of backroads and country towns. Left home early this morning with huge distances to cover and huge numbers of caches to chase down.A great days caching and a few more milestones ticked over! Thanks for the cache - please excuse the generic log.
Spent a few hours exploring Shrek's forrest with C10, B12 and N2O.Words cannot describe the huge amount of time and effort that has gone into making this series. We had loads of fun and luckily we have enough FP's for each and every one of these well constructed caches. Thanks for all you do forgeocaching Pood.TFTC pood this is find #17717 for us.

Once again out with The Machman for our 11th WA Goes Big event. Left Perth early this morning and started cache hunting just South of Busselton. A good array of hides and excellent weather. Big thanks to the COs for hiding and maintaining them. TFTC
Getting Ready for an Awesome WAGB 2024 Event In Augusta. Please be aware, this is not a park and grab series, there are plenty of field puzzles here for you to enjoy. You will need a sense of fun and adventure, lots of patience, a touch of humour and a couple of hours on the track. We have just been down to add a few more caches to this Holland Track series and we have found the track is now a wet Winter 4x4 track, we would recomend Four Wheel Drive Vehicles only on this track during Winter and Early Spring. There is now a tree across the track, but there is a chicken track going around it. (Noted: 12th September, 2024)
