Well, a few norsemen from scattered realms pillaged and plundered our way around these northern parts, and after the various skirmishes called it a day and descended upon the Ekim Brewery.A few good tankards of ale, and many a tale were enjoyed.FTF for this Beer O'Clock Event goes to Crash2079.Congrats on your retirement from work, the biggest distraction from, and obstacle to geocaching.Enjoy having more time for geocaching, and many other activities. Time to Archive this Event. Hope to see you all at Beer O'Clock events in the near future.EverestHigh.
A nice event to finish the day's caching with. This brewery certainly has a good view! Thanks EverestHigh for the event!
Some parking available at the back up the driveway which is where the entrance is! See you all soon. ??
Annoying, this was close enough to home I could have walked to it. But since Thursday my nose hasn't stopped streaming so I have either caught the flu or another round of Covid. Decided in the interests of public health that staying home was a better option. I will have to sample their brews another time now that I know it is here.
A most enjoyable event at a spot I new nothing of, despite being a local. Thanks Ev,
#7666An event which geoWife attended voluntarily! Enjoyed an After Battle after having enjoyed an excellent lunch at Brooklyn. Great turn out and nice views.TFTEC EverestHigh
Another one done but nearby this time. thanks EverestHigh for organising Cheers
With this being 'close to home', well about the same distance as many of the other BO'Cs but this time there's no Harbour Tunnel or Eastern Distributor so it was much, much quicker to get here so I had to attend. This is a very tucked away venue that probably only is found by recommendation via word of mouth. But the views are the best yet! The idea of spreading the venues round our city to attract geocachers from different areas certainly worked as there were many present who rarely come to BO'Cs. Good opportunity for plenty of chat.TFTE # 6192
#6192Originally I wasn't coming to this event, even though it's the closest to home. I was meant to be away for the weekend.Instead, my son decided it was garden shed building day. The last screw went in about a minute to 5pm. I arrived a tad late. That ice cold beer sure went down a treat. Thanks so much for organising these much loved events EH. ????
Another excellent Microbrewery attended as part of the Beer O'Clock series of events at microbreweries in Sydney and surrounds. this one was a bit hidden away, It was an interesting industrial area though, with business perched up high with long steep driveways to complement the terrain. A very nice view from the large glass windows, with a view of the cutting where the motorway is.
Being some what local this was a hidden gem. A good turn out but I guess when you say the magic word beer it helps. Bought a plus 1 but she wasnt allowed to drink and she meet some other 4 legged friends. TFTC
After a very enjoyable day out caching with 4Rods and Gavingo4, from Berowra to Jolls Bridge and Mooney Mooney, and back to Brooklyn and Cowan, and of course a lunch stop at "Pie In The Sky", I got back to Hornsby by Beer OClock. I think we just skipped Spring and went straight to Summer, with 26 degrees and a perfect blue sky all afternoon. Another well kept secret at the back of the industrial area is Ekim Brewery. Great view across the tree filled valley to the rock wall on the far side of the M1. A dozen Attendees made for an enjoyable Event, plenty of geochat, beers, and food from the cute caravan, just outside the entrance in the carpark. TFTE
Have visited this establishment in its previous and current location, so shouldn't have to use the GPS to get there. Count me in.
Unfortunately, I'm catching up with friends that evening, so I won't be able to make this BO'C. Have fun.
There's been a change of family plans so it looks like I will be able to enjoy a brew here with great geomates.
I will be at yet another Beer O'Clock, I would be interested in a little bit of caching before the event, I will reach out to the hist closer to the event date.
I'll be there unless the Swans are playing at the SCG that afternoon or evening (playing date and time for the final round are not released until the week prior). It's the last home game of the year!
