Tftc. Nice break o our homeward travels

30-Oct-24
As we continued our way south this morning, we stopped to look for this cache. Accurate coordinates and a familiar style of hide led to a quick find. However, the log had been pushed so far in and so hard, that it could not be removed from the container. So as an alternative, we left an additional small log in the container which was accessible. Thanks Kabbella Qld for the cache.

Just as we started our search here a man from across the road came and asked what we were doing (maybe he was the grass clippings man from a previous log). We explained the game and had a nice chat with him. Cache found, log signed and replaced as found. Thanks KabbellaQld for this hide.

A nice hide I missed, thankfully sacada can see better than me!An interesting morning to hitch up and leave Bargara and get on the road. Having arrived home after a night cache to find a car had parked right up close to the hitch the previius evening. Impressive driving by sacada with margins so narrow to reverse and turn with many obstacles. Phew, made it out of the seemingly impossible. Into Bundaberg for more adventures of the fun type with caching, ginger beer and ALs. Gin Gin was a short stop that was a little longer. The joys of going with the flow! I've always liked little goats, and the groovy goat was a pleasant place to be. Not quite the same type of goat, but a good one still.Stopping for caches at towns as we passed, Childers had a few good AL's and a nice little town. Camping arrangements pre made, we arrived at a camp ground just north of Maryborough after dark. 100 kids just left that afternoon and we were the only campers. Great facilities, great price and they also had complementary fresh eggs to gift! Thanks for your cache to add to our enjoyment!

Finished another long trip around Australia. The 6th. Next up to Townsville to grab the Palm Island LGA. Only 2 LGAs to complete Australia.Firstly heading back south for some Canberra time.TFTC. Interesting start to the morning where someone decided to park right in front of the caravan's hitch. Careful manoeuvring with millimetres to spare and I managed to get the car in and hitched.Back to Bundaberg for the Ginger Beer factory and a few other caches.Went to Gin Gin to get the Ad Lab and enjoyed the food at the Groovy Goat so much we left town with only 3 points.Next to Childers where we did 2 Ad Labs properly with a few other caches.Next to the scout campground at Maryborough which was super cheap and he also gave us chicken and duck eggs. Worthy of another night's stay.Nice hide Quick find after digging up all the grass clippings close by.

I did not have much to do today and Geohubby ( youngoldfella) said he was going to Gin Gin so we ( me and Geograndson, Tadpole3 ,) went for the drive and experience as well. On small logs signed log CCC on some I signed CCCacher and others coralcoastcacher. No acting required here as there was no one else around. Quick find.. Apologies for boiler plate logs. [FTF] . And first to lose!! When replacing the cache it fell into the belly of its host! We tried everything to retrieve it but were unable to. Have notified CO. Sorry! *The generic bit for this trip*We are on now on our way south after heading north for warmer weather. From Cooktown back to Notth East Victoria, weaving inland and to the coast, caching as we go. No real plans, just taking each day as it comes and enjoying the adventure in our converted ambulance. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining caches for our enjoyment.
