A beautiful spot to sit and write on the log sheet. Lovely little church in Howick as I'm about to go visit the youngest two of 'memokos' Nice easy find with parking.TYFTC
From Australia and visiting family. We love to explore graveyards and cemeteries. Thank you for bringing us here. TFTC.
Quick easy find, and nice to have a brief sit down after doing the nearby Mangemangeroa Walk!
I got drawn in by the name as we were looking for a spot to enjoy our breakfast, but my, what a busy intersections!! Quickly located the cache and moved on. TFTC!!
Out with my nephew. Spent a few seconds looking in wrong area but then quick find
I use to live in Howick not too far from here so was familiar with this church. A nice quick find and the log was all nice and dry
We headed out to look for this one at sunrise and it was a perfect time to be there, so nice and peaceful and a lovely morning that looked like it was going to turn into a beautiful day.We drive past this church quite often but haven't stopped here for years, the last time was probably when we found a cache here back in 2016, one of our first, so it was great to be back and it gave us a chance to really take in what a lovely church it is.The cache was soon located nicely tucked away and the log signed and we took the trackables to continue their journey.Afterwards we took some time to walk around the church and learn a bit of history. Thanks AliceQ for bringing us back here.
M26: dot day today, so m15 and I walked down to the mall where our mum was working, when she finished, she offered us a 4km drive to this cache, which we found easily, log all good and signed here. TFTC.
This is a special church for a couple of reasons, but in relation to geocaching, this church is the location of our first geocache find back in 2009. Have enjoyed the hobby ever since. Thanks for placing a cache here. Nice quick find. [TFTC]
I was sitting at home relaxing after a great time catching up with extended family, and I just thought I would check my e-mails. Well, what do you know, a new cache had been published only a few minutes away, but 45 minutes ago. Checking the cache page, and there were no logs posted yet, so the FTF was still on. At this time of night, the chances of someone else going out and getting the cache, except the hardcore crowd, were pretty minimal. So, grabbing our German homestay who was keen to go for a late-night adventure, we ventured out.As soon as I saw where on the map the cache was and reading the title on the cache page, I knew very well where I would be going and searching. Armed with the trusty geo-kit packed with torches, we headed off. Once there, we noticed a car parked very near GZ. The thought went through my mind that somebody else could already be there and have found the cache before we had even started. Luckily, there was nobody else around and the car was empty. We headed over to GZ and commenced our search. We couldn't find anything in the obvious place, so we expanded our search a little, and very soon came up with the cache. After signing the log, we had to take a selfie to send back to Germany. After that, it was back home to write up this {FTF} log.It turns out, bapboy1996 turned up just after we had found the cache and were heading back to the car. It could have been a close call if we had just waited a little longer, and we would be kicking ourselves if we had waited until the morning.TFTC
Saw this published as I was on my way from the Shore to the city to pick up Bapgirl, so we carried on out this way. As we pulled up, I noticed a pair leaving, who it turns out were cachers, so it's the STF for me tonight. A nice easy find here, not sure that the terrain rating is as complex as described. TFTC!
