Needing 3 caches for my September Equinox Virtual Souvenir I though these 3 in a nice neat row might be just the ones I needed and I could grab them on my way to Millicent.Well the track in was interesting. I was glad I had an AWD rather than a low car as the middle of the track was quite raised and I had to drive around branches of trees that had blown over the track but it looked like I was not the only one.On my way to this one which was the first one I did I had to wait for a couple of kangaroos to get off the track. Then arriving at the cache coordinates I scared the mob of sheep and lambs in the paddock. I became quite conspicuous as the sheep bleated very loudly. I thought the whole neighbourhood would have heard and was expecting a farmer to turn up any minute to investigate why his sheep were stirred up but alas no one did. Phew!!!I looked in the wrong spot initially but the after reading the hint found I was on the wrong side of the track. A quick search and the cache was found. I removed the logbook and signed it. As I was putting it back I dropped the logbook which rolled down into the paddock a bit. I got a little bit dirty but managed to retrieve it and return it to the rightful place. Now onto the next one.Thank you for placing this cache, archieclark9
Bit worried the track might not suite a low clearance car but with one wheel in the centre of the track we didn't have any problems. Noticed the stock yards, not much to hear other than the bleating from lambs while we were at the cache. Decided to press on as it was not easy to try and turn around, got through ok but disturbed 5 kangaroos lazing in the sun in a paddock on the way.
Quick find here today as I made my way past, cache is all goodThis weekend Courtneyrose_ and I headed to Mount Gambier for Morgo the Geos 500th Parkrun. Today being solo heading home I made my way from Millicent to Adelaide finding unfound caches around the SE. Thanks for the cache
