Thank you for a great event- great fun hunt on a lovely island. I appreciate the effort you went to. Great meeting lots of new faces for me!
Many thanks to Mighty Minions and all the other event organisers. We had a great time, had fun dressing up and meeting other cachers from near and far. Treasure Hunt was great-many thanks for all the time and effort that went into this! Crazynumbat and family
Ooh aaargh, give a Pirate event to MM to organise, and everyone has a super fun time!! A shipful of pirates, treasure to seek, bounty galore, fellow pirates to meet, the best ingredients for a wonderful GC event. Cant wait for next year !!
It was nice to catch up with people and help out with their caching questions. I'm just catching up on old events.
Sailing in fast with a wet sail and a thirsty crew fresh from blowing up a nearby residence and stashing our loot in the ruins. Cheers Gaztek
Met up with zeus040 and sighted mistysoho when we came down. Thank Geocaching NSW!!
Lots of fun following the clues to the treasure, even spied a pirate ????? or three. I wonder what a collective of pirates would be?? TFTC ??
Great to meet some new and old faces even if they were wearing sunny hats and would only look me in one eye see you at the next event!
Find#2531After a full on crazy week at work I need this event for some therapy. Any boy was it exactly what I needed. Sorry if I wasnt cheeky to you all but I tried to be to as many people there as I could. For those that care, I have finally warmed up. Thanks for hosting g such a great event MM

Enjoyed the pirate ????? event thanks to Mighty Minion for organising. Loved the treasure hunt.
This event was attended today and brings our overall cache find tally to 13645.We had great fun today wandering around the island and grabbing clues today. It was good to come back together and share some stories once we were done. Thanks Geocaching NSW for the event.
Thanks for a great event! Loved the treasure hunt and catching up with everyone!
I am very glad my plans changed at the last minute so I was able to attend. Love the puzzle and the conversations. Cool job on the theme! TFTE
Thanks for organising the event. We have a cache on the island and haven't wandered around it as much as today sine the cache was hidden
For anyone that is interested we have opened the shop for orders for Geocaching NSW shirts, hoodies and hats, just head over to https://geocachingnsw.asn.au/ and follow the link to the shop.
When I left home the sun was shining and the radar showed the rain still off the coast, and so it was when I arrived on the island, except for the wind of course , nearly strong enough to blow a parrot of a pirate's shoulder. Another pleasant surprise was the treasure-hunting activity Mighty Minions had planned, but silly me forgot to download the event onto my Garmin so I had to load all the waypoints in manually. Once underway, though, it was treasures galore as I made my around the island, followed by pleasant chatting and lots of nibblies. Many thanks MM and Geocaching NSW for putting on such a great event!
Thanks to the CO for a creative and fun event and a chance to vent our inner pirate! We can see how much effort she put into planning and arranging the quest and the event. No wonder the attendance was so great. A fun time for all. Our voices are aaaarrr-ed out! TFTEC Cheers... Gaztek
#15105 11:00Ahoy, me hearties! Shiver me timbers! I hoisted me anchor and raised the mizzen, and set sail for Dunkey Island for a scurvy gathering! Walkin' o'er the island in search o' the loot. We found gold doubloons 'n mysterious clues. We then had good times wit' grub 'n laughter. 'twas cold 'n windy. Thanks t' pirate Kathy 'n the crew
(1 of 4 today)The Geowife was keen to attend this event, and so we headed up from the Big Smoke to Dunk Is... erm, Dunkey Island (Budgie Island?).After that we collected some caches - she more than me as I have quite a few around here, but ended up at Wyee where there were three more for me to find as well. Of course, the caches we found close by seemed to also attract more pirates... ??Even had a yummy lunch as the Halekulani Bowling Club.Top day out, Maties!###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Fun event - well worth the drive. They treasure map and hunt was a highlight - although with the numbers we had it could easily have been called "Follow That Pirate"!Some really nice donuts and other food were on offer. Only hitch was taking a minute or two to attract the attention of the shop person when a sale was actually on offer.Photos and chat also ensued, not to mention discovering trackables, until it was time for everyone to head off for more finds.Great job **Geocaching NSW**.SLTNLNTFTEvent
It was great to be out and catch up with friends today, the weather could have been a little warmer but at least it didnt rain. Thanks for the event.
Thanks Mighty Minions for a fantastic event that I thoroughly enjoyed. Loved wandering around the island going the treasure hunt. Loved dressing up as a pirate and chatting to people and meeting new people.
Ahoy, me hearties. MAC will be there. PIG will be busy cleaning the decks that day
Aye, I reckon I'll weigh the anchor and hoist the mizzen on the man-o-war when the sun rises and then set sail up the coast a wee bit to pillage and plunder the Dunkey Island settlement and bring home some booty.
Was herrrre on the second of Septemberrrrrr, a touch earrrrrly for this one. I blame the gale forrrce winds in me sails for pushing me too farrrrr to quick. Not surrrrrre I can make it at the appointed time - my parrrrot needs nailing to its perrrch. But while on the island I did spot a suitable place forrr scurrrrvy landlubberrrrrrrs to walk the plank!
Why are Pirates called Pirates??Because they arrrrrr!!Housesitting in Terrigal, so hope to get there
Well shiver me timbers I'll be there with me bird on me shoulder.By the way the parking lot at Dunkey Island is usually well and truly full by this time on a Sundy.
I'll be there but I better get my ears pierced at a bucc an eer. So yo-ho-ho and I will not be bringing a bottle of rum but I will bring a plate of food.
Aaarrrr! Shiver me timbers! I better hoist anchor and raise the mizzen, and set sail for Dunkey Island for this scurvy gathering!
Argh, I can't join ya me hearties as there be some votin' papers for me to fuss about with on that day.
