Great to catch up with many others I haven't seen for a while with nice chats through the evening. Enjoyed the block puzzles brought along by Tankengine, challenged me at times but happy to get them completed, the quality of them is tops. Thanks for hosting TikvaNZ, and a bonus *FTF*
Nice to catch up with all in this long format. Did get to try some of the newly finished gadget caches from TE and had some chat about upcoming trips. And thanks for the Yabba Dabba Doo *FTF* ! Thank you TikvaNZ (on behalf of KittyKatch) for putting this event on and organizing it all.
Thanks for a great evening. Am bach'ing it, so didn't mind grabbing a bite to eat without the washing up. TFTE TikvaNZ
I enjoyed another excellent addition to this event series this evening! Great to catch up with some people I havent seen for a while The gadget caches that Tankengine brought along certainly tested my patience! I was one of the people who *did not* solve it quickly, but rather very slowly. I even gave up once or twice, but after watching other people do them & having a break I eventually attempted again and was successful! Thanks for organising
A midweek caching trip to Canberra, that's the life of a shift worker. Quickly packed and raced down to meet J+J.AU for some caching fun in Canberra. Freezing cold and wet but that doesn't stop a true cacher. Lovely to finish the day with a dinner event and chatting to many nice people. As everybody turned up on time, everybody deserved a {FTF}TFTE Wilbert67
The schnitty was pretty good. Nice turnout, even with some visitors and some widely travelled locals. Had a successful go at the new gadgets. Thank you for hosting this get-together. [FTF]*Attended with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Nice meal here at the event with Wilbert67.Bit of a catch Im up and seeing other Cachers.TFTEvent and the {*FTF*}
Many thanks for organising, a good excuse for a social dinner after work. I was very tired today but it was nice to see friends briefly. Cool to try one of the gadget caches, I didn't succeed but isopeda did. Had a CSCC parmy which always lives up to the hype, then went home so that I could continue leeching off the streaming services of some certain geocachers who I am housesitting for. TFTE! Oh, and with permission from the CO, group [FTF]!
Great turn out! Chatted a while, which was lovely, before heading home for an early night. TFTE and the [FTF] TikvaNZ!
Thank you for organising this dinner, TikvaNZ! It was nice to catch up with everyone again ??And thanks for the [FTF]! ??
#22715 @1730Thanks to all who attended. It was good to see some cachers visiting from outside Canberra, and several family members attending too. Thanks KittyKatch for letting me host this event in your abscence.
[FTF] Thanks for the event. I enjoyed trying the gadgets and with the others getting it near, I was able to solve one.My visit was early and quick as I had other dinner plans (which I didn't have to pay for). But still fun catching up with those around me.
Finished another long trip around Australia. The 6th. Finished trip to Townsville to grab the Palm Island LGA. Now only 2 LGAs to complete Australia.Firstly heading back south for some Canberra time.TFTC. Today I started from Burning Mountain to get back to Canberra for an event at 5:30pm.Managed a few kms before being distracted by a virtual in Pokolbin. Next thing I am also doing the Ad Lab and a few more caches on the way. Once I got to the M1 it was just driving, managing to ignore lots of great caches just off the freeway.Arrived in Canerra at 5pm, booked in caravan, unhitched, picked up Boaham and made it to the event before 6pm. Phew.Great to catch up with lots of Canberra cachers.
#20996 - 5:45:00 PM; Arrived at a familiar venue and managed to grab the last car park before heading inside to join a growing number of cachers for this event. Enjoyed some tinkering with a couple of new gadgets which were on display and a chat with cachers from near and far. Another well attended event at this popular venue. TFTE TikvaNZ
Thank for hosting this one TikvaNZ! Always lovely to come to the club and chat with friends. And Tankengines new gadget caches were a hit amongst the attendees. And thank you for the *FTF* gift for all. Tfte!!!
Chooo ooo [Attended]! Brought 2 of the gadgets destined for the Block Party in Sydney next year. Was happy to see that some solved them quick, and others not so quick! So, a good balance! Enjoyed a nice meal, chatted with friends. Thanks for organising TikvaNZ!
Attended with minniek and a large group of the locals.Another neat event in the Canberra Connections series. My daughter came along for a rare appearance at an event. Lots of good conversations about upcoming events and trips - it's going to be a busy Spring/Summer by the looks of it. Soon we needed to head home for dinner. Thanks TikvaNZ and Kittykatch for this event and for the Joint *FTF* !!
I came along to catch up with Dad and minniek. I enjoy visiting this club. Thank you for the event and the *FTF*.
We needed a tick on the calendar, so FFLL no 2 decided to head to this event for a quick stop and chat. A good turnout and the club was packed with families out enjoying meal. Thanks TikvaNZ for hosting.
Great to attend the Canberra Connections 18 event here tonight and catch up with Aquillis and Sacada to hear about all their travels.Along with joining in on all the chatter of caching exploits. Not to mention a bit of planning here and there of even more exciting adventures.Had a very yummy Thai salad.Oh and thanks to the CO Im claiming a [FTF] Thanks TikvaNZ for organising
Cache # 11452 on 26 Sep 2024Another Canberra Connections event, this hosted by TikvaNZ! I arrived a little early and still was not the first! Had my usual pasta (wish there was a bit more chilli in it) and a good catch up with Aquilus1 who had returned from an epic adventure. Always good to do some planning for future events! Thank you TikvaNZ for hosting this event and the fun!
Nice turnout tonight. Roast lamb was pretty good too. Annoying children were running around unsupervised causing the door to open up constantly and let the cold in. But nice to catch up and chat. And an added present of [FTF] by the CO.Great event thanks for organising TikvaNZ
Thanks to all those who attended. As you were all there, before the log book was 'put away', you can claim FTF if you want to.Copy of log attached.
Another great CC event (at a not so great venue - but not complaining, as it is indoors, out of the cold, so worth putting up with the noise).TFTE - good to catch up with people, chat, test solve a couple of block party AL gadgets, and not only a smiley, but can also claim the group *FTF*
I might bring a couple of gadgets - hot off the press (planned to feature in the Sydney GeoQuest Block Party next year)! Just as a tempter! These gadgets have never been seen before by anyone! (oh OK - maybe dty73 has seen them - but that's it!!!)...
Oops, sorry TikvaNZ. I was back in town but I will be in Queensland, so I won't be able to attend..enjoy!
I will probably come along. It depends how my packing for the next morning's flight to Perth is going...
I intend to attend (sorry about deleting before, I was just trying to clear my calendar)!
