Logs
Maintenance check done. Cache is in good order. Please make sure to cover the cache once done, it isn't supposed to be out in the open
Made our way up the narrow winding streets to this one and very glad we did, what a great spot! Cache not where it was originally placed but is in good condition. No idea what this space is called but I loved it.TFTC
Found this little guy exposed and lying on the ground under the tree. Good log, signed and replaced. We would call this an urban reserve in NZ. Thanks from a couple of kiwis caching in Tasmania.
Hello Tassie!Im excited to be exploring this southern state to see all the beautiful scenery, cultural and historic places and hopefully find a few geocaches.Well the town planners is for Hobart mustve been having all sorts of crazy measurement days. This little pocket of green grass was quite strange and almost forgotten. Nice that they left the two giant trees there and also saw two dogs happily running through here with their Owner fairly easily, although the little car did struggle trying to get up this hill , nicely constructed not sure about the placement if it was in the correct spot as it was just balancing at GZThanks.Ps Id call the area a grassy forgotten knoll.
A bit of time to kill before starting work, so I sought out nearby caches. Quick find, and all good at GZ TFTC
Today, it was not bad weather. I was out and about a few caches before going to lunch with a friend. I tried to find access and finally saw the park access. It was a lovely walk to GZ, an easy spot, and a fantastic cache.Sign the log with a stamp. TFTC
Returned on possibly the worst day to be standing under a huge tree in cyclonic winds but located a well constructed cache. Deserves a favourite. I think they are called green belts set aside for recreation when original subdivision was done. TFTC
Too many barking dogs! And this one at GZ didn't sound friendly, now reading logs see there are updatedcoords so not on fence. Will have to return
After work I decided since its getting a bit lighter now I should go and find a this one here seem like a perfect example as its not really that far from home so a quick find and then back home was accomplished. What a great cache. Gets a favourite point from me.
Today was a day that we had designated as a geocaching day (one of the first for many months). The first goal was to complete the Water Drop series and then onwards to others not found. Circled this one before finding a good entrance. A local dog did not like people but cache located in well crafted hide.TFTC
When this one came out we though we better get this one soon as a few others in these little parks don't last, but upon finding this one it's construction will go a long way to help keep it alive and well.I made a bit of a phaff not having enough hands to hold everything but between the two of use we soon had our names in the log and cache replaced as found.Even this morning we didn't know what we were doing, so we just made it up as we went along, Moonah, Chauncy Vale and then Margate!Found on 27/07/2024 at 11:00:00 thanks to The_Schnitzels for placing this cache for me to find. With the plan to go to Glenorchy to grab me some new pairs of long pants at a store that starts with ...Big, then (23rd letter of alphabet)i decided to go and grab this cache first seeing it's been ages since i found one.Parked up above the park and wandered in and after a look in the open field (you can see i haven't refreshed the page since... old co-ords lol). I was onto where it would likely be so i wandered over to GZ and made the quick find and sign at 12:20 on Saturday 27 July 2024.Sweet creation, i was smiling upon the find. With no Muggles or yappy dogs i was happy and to be shielded somewhat when signing the log, coz those big black house eyes (windows) were staring at me ha ha. Glad i had my back to them. Thanks for bringing me here to this cool li'l park, that served a purpose for us Geocachers TFTC The_Schnitzels
This cache was on our radar for last weekend but CrowdStrike debacle ended that plan. Today SSR and I were in the area and called for this one. A quick find of a nicely designed cache. Thanks The_SchnitzelsVisit the [Geocaching Tasmania Facebook group](https://www.facebook.com/groups/318455407771/)Member of the [Tas_Community](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=25086739) maintenance group.
G'day The_Schnitzels, thanks for the cache.Another neighbourhood parkland generally unknown.A quick find of a nifty bespoke cache in an obvious spot once I circumnavigated my way around GZ. No muggles seen today. My schedule was full of holes today, so as I was in the area - between jobs - I dropped by here.Oh well, back to it. Thanks for the diversion.CheersEPs
Hello The_Schnitzels thank you for the cacheThis afternoon I came to find your cache. My GPSr first took me to a grassy area so I walked to a likely spot and very quickly found your cleaver cache.Found on Tuesday, 23 July 2024 at 1738**TFTC**
With the new challenge beginning today (or at least I think it begins today) we decided to head out to Glenorchy and West Moonah to try and find some of the caches that have appeared there over the past few months, and ended up finding three very high quality caches. Im not sure what these green spaces are called, but theyre great for hiding caches! A quick find of a very good hide. Thanks for the cache The_Schnitzels!
Thanks The_Schnitzels for hiding this cache. Now that my calendar and streak are completed, I can just cache for the fun of it. Your Traditional cache, Crescent Park, was just what I needed to get me out of the house and exercising. This is my find #1828 at 12:54 on 20/7/2024. All was quiet when we arrived in the early afternoon. The hint was helpful as we quickly found the cache but it was 22m from the published coordinated. This was a well designed and presented cache container. The cache and contents were in good condition. Before leaving we took a number of readings ad the average coordinates were S42 50.717 E147 17.128. Thanks The_Schnitzels for the cache.
Coordinates changed from:S 42 50.727 E 147 17.119Coordinates changed to:S 42 50.718 E 147 17.126Distance from original: 60.8 feet or 18.5 meters.Adjusted coordinates.
FTF @ 4:15pm! When this cache was published last night we were very tempted to go and grab it being that it's so close to home. However, we thought torches might attract unwanted attention from the neighbours, and in hindsight, now we've visited during the day, it was probably a good decision. The same applied this morning before work as it was still dark, but this afternoon there was enough daylight left to give it a go. The park was a tad soggy with all the rain we've had but the cache was a nice and easy find. Love the work gone into the camo and will give this one a FP. TFTC!Cheers,The Hancock Clan
