Nice little hide here in this idyllic park. Time to pull out a book and read on the grass I think. Thanks
TFTC,My goal today was to lift my finds for this date to 15 on my statistics page. With Adventure Lab stages now being counted into these statistics, this year is the last time I will work towards this. Also added 5 stages of an ALQuick find when needed most, visited trackables.
Nice to pick up this cache near Uni. Cache is an ants nest now, maintenance required!
it was about 65 years ago that he pod used to come past this on his way to the swimming pool. The pond was full then not that that was where we swam. TFTC and the memories.
Bit of a diversion on the way into the office to get the nearby Virtual. A little walk and I had snared this one too.Cheers
Thank you for hiding it here . I found it really quickly to be honest . Especially after the hint . It feels exhilarating and makes me feel confident in myself . If youre around Victoria park , make sure to check this hidden treasure out for yourself
Really nice experience. My first find and I hope to find it more !! Trikas in the house
A nice Sunday afternoon around Sydney Uni. The pond is completely covered with green and brown algae and weed. Not the most pleasant place for ducks. But it works for a geocache. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Found It!A quick find here before the nearby event. Then while I was signing the log, someone came along and asked what I was up to. Apparently they had watched me search for and retrieve the cache from the other side of the lake.TFTC
I like ducks. Actuallly I like all birds and bird watching is one of my other hobbies. It teams up very well with Geocaching. To get to the nearby event this evening I had to arrive very early so I walked over to Victoria Park to find this cache to help fill in some time. Spotted it no problem and just as I was going to grab it my phone rang. Phone - cache - phone - cache won. Then I answered the phone ..... it was Calypso62 who was sitting nearby, out of my sight, watching me find the cache. There were no ducks on the pond this afternoon but there were several Dusky Moorhen, which is one of the native species of Waterfowl here in Australia. TFTC # 6189
(2 of 2 today)Decided to park at Epping and take the new Metro to Central. Then off to Broadway. My original plan was for just the one today, before a card night with friends. But at the event mention was made of the new-ish cache in the nearby Victoria Park.Ended up heading there on the way back to Central.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###With the event breaking up, I went with **gavingo4** to this one.Nice quick and easy find.We signed it and then tested a few spots for the replace as the magnet is not quite strong enough. Maybe adding another would work better.Walked back to Central and had a very successful card night - crushing my opposition. Mwahahaha!BTW, I like ducks too - with a Hoisin or orange sauce. Lovely!SLTNLNTFTC
#6189I like ducks too but none here today. There were a number of ibis and a few water hen with red beaks. If they're not water hen, I'm sure Jackscruff will put me straight.I also found a cute little frog!!!I like this CO as there was a pencil in the cache. Not that I needed it as I always carry a pen for those spontaneous geocache hunts.I'm just passing the time now before the nearby Beer O'clock event. Thanks for the geofun. It's nice to have another city find.
OCW Its_Dozzie, Walked over after attending the nearby event and made a quick fight luckily no muggles around and hit under the cloak of darkness
Found with Gatherer Hade after the Beer O'Clock event close by. This one may need a stronger magnet.
My easiest find so far! Well, mostly because as I was looking, another geocacher who had found it a few minutes earlier handed it to me. I don't often run into other geocachers in the wild but it's always a pleasant experience. Thanks for the cache! And thanks to the other cacher!
SurdiVisio and I found it quickly, also it was easy. Afterwards, we are visiting the university today. Thank you
On way to University of Sydney - for an AuslanX talk of 4 science topics. One of these is Geocaching - Science of Discovery. Which I will be the Auslan speaker today. OCW Graubunden today. Thanks Phantomtherat for the ducky find.
Went to the new Parkrun at Pyrmont this morning and had some time to spare before and after to pick up a few caches. TFTC Wilbert67
Parked in City Road and wandered across to GZ.Nice quick find to start day.TFTC
This is one very buys park, cache spotted from some distance away. Signed and replaced. In Sydney today with the whole day spare I headed to the Glebe area to find the two new virtuals in the area plus a few caches as I made my way around on foot. Thanks for the cache
Didn't see any ducks today but there were plenty of bin chickens. A quick find once at gz. TFTC
Found with Brewmaker after an Event held at Rozelle . As coordinators were spot on we quickly realised where we should be looking . Even thou darkness was upon us the cache was located on the ground not where I suspect it should . Attention needed by the CO to rectify the problem otherwise it might be swept away after heavy rain . TFTC Phantomtherat
A quick find after dark following BO'C. We found it on the ground. The magnet no longer sticks to metal. I placed it under the post, at least out of sight for the time being. Needs some serious TLC. TFTC
We noticed a new cache here when we recently returned from a month oor so away, and decided to search for it. A walk through Sydney University (my alma mater) and on to Victoria Park saw CIH in very little time.TFTC
3TF Fun find collected on the cycle home this evening. Enjoyed the info and lakeside views. Gee could do with some extra magnets. Thanks for sharing this location Phantomtherat #2869
When I saw this cache published I thought what an opportunity to go to an old favourite cafe in Glebe Point Road for coffee. MaxAdventurer accepted the invite, and the opportunity for some fresh air and sunshine. Happy to get a joint {FTF} at 11 am. OCW MaxAdventurer. TFTC Phantomtherat
