We were over in this area due to a medical appointment so it is great to have a couple of caches still available close by. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.
I was very happy when all these new caches came out in the Ringwood area. So close to home that I can do one a day and keep my streak going. Thank you for placing all these caches for us to find.
Found whilst attempting the lab near by . Its been awhile since I have been to ringwood lake. A pleasant stroll on a sunny afternoon. Thanks QueenK8
Enjoying the glorious spring weather, I went bike caching around Ringwood Lake and surrounds. My initial impression is that the cache was on the opposite side of the path. With no likely hiding spots, I reassessed and soon spotted the familiar container. All in good dry condition. TFTC QueenK8
My GPS was having it's usual issues but a quick find. Hadn't been here before, nice area. Tftc!
Straightforward cache, no trouble finding the cache hidden in plain sight. TFTC!
We heard thunder, oh ohhhh.....the rain is getting heavy, luckily, we had an umbrella and our rain coats on! Found the cache quickly and made a quick escape along the path to the cache at the other end. The last in this park.
Nice and close to home. Did a number of laps of this great reserve during lockdowns but it still has a charm. And with Allans & mystery too, what better excuse to try another lap of the lake. All found safe and snug.
I was looking for a stress free day today so I aimed to gather some more of the relatively close Ringwood Ramble series They were guaranteed to but a smile on my face and on my mapwell planned and well maintained .. just the way I like it. I made my way to Ringwood Lake Park and was surprised by the amount of muggles wandering around enjoying the lovely day. While enjoying the walk around the lake completing the Adventure Lab I managed to find a few traditional caches too. This one Ringwood Lake Park was a quick one in a hide and container I was familiar with. Thanks QueenK8 for the cache and the series.
Like other posts was a lil further away from gps location but still very fun find!
Out for a 40km bike ride and noticed that I hadnt been to this area so nice to find some geocaches, all signed and replaced.TFTC.
Having been away for a few months, I was delighted to see that quite a few new caches had popped up while I was away. It was getting late in the day, but I decided to push on and do the caches around Ringwood Lake. This cache was found easily.
I found this cache today on a drive around the remaining newer Ringwood Ramble caches. Just talking to someone last year that it had been a long time since I had completed a cache in Ringwood Lake Park. This was now my fourth geocaching visit here this year. Thanks from D B-A
Out with au.fait, we found this cache on our way back to the car after doing the AdLab. Thanks QueenK8.
Enjoying the area and the company of echidna44 as I explore this area TFTC QueenK8
I set out today to make the most of the nice weather and grab three new Adlabs. There were a few extra caches along the way. Nice quick find here. Many thanks to QueenK8 for the cache.
Wattles in full bloom added colour to this park. Thanks QueenK8 for an enjoyable ramble in the area.
Out with quiet1_au on our regular Tuesday after (qs) work caching run. We headed over the crossing and into this beautiful Lake area. We made our way to GZ and looked around a bit before GMelb located this cache too. I voice record notes about the caches to write up logs later and this time it decided I had said Very dumb leaves and stuff It always provides some laughs on read backs lol Glad you had such a pretty place to walk around during lockdowns, its lovely here! Whilst the others were looking for this cache I had contacted my sister who lives in Larissa Avenue opposite the Lake and she came out in to her verandah and we waved to each other. She has a broken foot at the moment so couldnt manage to walk all the way over here ??TFTC QueenK8 - GJMMelb
Off we went to our next cache target, no trains to deal with at the crossing thankfully... A bit of a coin-toss as to which way around we should tackle these caches (and AdLab locations too) but thankfully we seemed to pick the best option We found an AdLab location along the way and arriving at GZ our various devices had different ideas... I checked various spots, G&J others, but eventually G rechecked one that seemed a bit off GPS target but likely as a cacher, and doh! there it was... [sigh]
First cache my ride around Ringwood today, Thanks for a great circuit of caches QueenK8.
A short trip out today for lunch and a few caches on a beautiful day in the sunshine. After a walk across the railway line, this was a nice quick find in between muggles. Thanks QueenK8 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
After completing the Adventurelab in the park, Redcb and I walked around to this location, with the GPS devices playing some tricky games. We soon located the cache and signed the log.Thank you QueenK8.
Crustyvarmint and I collected this cache whilst wandering around the lake after completing the Ad.Lab. TFTC QueenK8
As we approached GZ were noticed someone near the posted coordinates that she moved off and we found the cache after searching for a few minutes - a few metres away from where we thought it would be. The woman who we noticed earlier then approached as and asked if we were geocaching. She said she was also a cacher and introduced herself as Haldane. We all signed the log we chatted for a few minutes and we chatted for a few minutes before heading off. Thanks to QueenK8.
What a lovely place to ramble. Met some other cachers at the GZ so signed the log with them. Thanks for the enjoyable walk around an area I'm not too familiar with.
*Found on the 4 Aug 2024 @ 4:10PM.**Cache find # 15712.* Today I headed over this way to tackle a few of the new Ringwood Ramble series of caches.I continued with the ramble, clocking up a few kilometres on my bike with turned out to be good therapy for my injury, there were still a few more to find in this series, didnt find them all so I will have to return another day but this one I did find before signing the log and moving on to the next one.**Thanks to QueenK8 for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**
Out and about today This cache was quickly found thankfully Thanks to QueenK8 for the fun and the adventure.
Found at 11:47I'm back from holidays and it's time to start picking up some of the new caches that have appeared while I was away. I had to wait a few minutes for a break in the muggle traffic. Thanks QueenK8 for the cache
Out to get another of this new series to fill my calendar. Took a detour on my way home from visiting a friend. A quick park and grab. TFTC QueenK8.
Certainly an area I'm very familiar with having lived nearby for over 24 years. Quick one here while walking the dog. Won't pick these off too quickly as it's been ages since any new local caches. Thanks.
In the area prior to the Birthday celebrations so I had time to find the rest of the Ringwood Ramble caches. It was good not to have to drive miles for once to get a few caches. This is one of the caches found today. Thanks QueenK8 for the cache.
Caches found: 24DNFs: 0Distance Rambled: 18.8 km**Apologies in advance for this generic log on the Rambling series caches**As a budding FTF hound I watched in angst as this new series launched. Work, travel and life commitments prevented me hunting these down. I have been waiting for a break in the madness and decided to cancel all my Friday afternoon meetings to set out on a geo-adventure. I contemplated whether to bike or foot the series. I decided on the ramble and set out by foot from home around 2pm and arrived back 7hrs later. I hadn't had time for lunch so grabbed a Grill'd burger on the way to the first cache. A few work calls on the way from the burger and then I was able to collect the solved puzzle near Douglas Maggs Reserve. Everything went smoothly on the trail despite a hiccup at the 'Bridges and Totem' multi-cache. My co-ordinates were slightly out but the hint helped narrow down GZ and after some searching the cache was found. Through the Mullum pedestrian tunnel and it was now getting quite dark so I decided on grabbing GJMMelb's nightcache. I had a lot of trouble here with the reflectors so it wasn't until 40min later that I was able to continue the journey. Over to Ringwood Lake and the first cache near the entrance. I started the adventure lab but decided that it was too dark to enjoy and skipped this for another time. Through to Ringwood East and then gathered another multi-cache on Freeman Street, then on to Linear Park, collecting clues for the final. Now for the trudge home. Airpods in and music blazing I completely forgot to gather the solved puzzle at Burnt Creek. Will have to return for this one. What a fantastic way to end my week. Happy birthday QueenK8 and thank you so much for the series. I'm sorry I couldn't come to your birthday Geo-event in Bayswater today, but I was too busy finding your caches!
