An early Sunday morning trip into town before the Santa parade.Nice cache. Good for tourists visiting our city.
Out caching with Net61 this Sunday morning. Knowing that the annual Farmers Santa parade was on today, we stopped at the CBD to collect a few caches. It was nice and quiet in town today, and we almost had the place to ourselves. This was our first find for today. As we approached gz, we spied a likely hiding spot. Sure enough, the cleverly camouflaged cache was soon discovered. Replaced as found, before heading to another cache in town. Nicely hidden here Gorby and thanks for the cache.
Nice quick find on an evening walk while looking at the cruise ship Daimond Princess
Nice and easy find, a mission to log as two gentlemen were cleaning windows nearby. TFTC!
Thanks for the cache security was a little concerned but I explained what I was doing & I think we have a convert...he was super interested & download the app ?? one of the promo flyers was very waterlogged so I removed it, otherwise the cache is in great shape ??

In the end, we managed to find all the caches!TFTC# 7597 / 11:21hThanks and greetings from Team Lawinia11 from Germany, Lilienthal
Sneakily hidden cache that blends in well. Nobody around early today so a nice quick find. [TFTC]
Found after a nice meal here. Good hide. Water inside but log is ok. Thanks from Wisconsin, USA.
8.2 World travelers adventure log.Out and about exploring the world with Nildran on this epic adventure! Thanks for adding to our memories and letting us explore your favorite spots all over the world! It continues to be a wild ride!TFTC SL If you find yourself at a local pub during trivia night, and the category is:'States shaped like a Mitten'here is some information that may help you win that round:Michigan trivia 8.216. Belle Isle Is a Magical Place for One ReasonOnly here on this whimsical little island right off the coast of Detroit can you actually see Canada on the other side. This island sits right on the Detroit River, separating the United States mainland from the Canadians. You can feel like you're located in both countries.17. You Really Can Eat as Much Chicken as You Want at the Bavarian InnThis is a restaurant where you'll feel like you're getting six, seven, eight, even nine courses in a meal. Make it a vacation and just prepare yourself for a lot of chicken.18. How to Traverse the Sand Dunes Without CrampingLots of state parks and campgrounds near the coast have big sand dunes, but they cant begin to rival the golden mountains of Ludington and Holland. You'll develop some serious muscles walking across those dunes just to get to Lake Michigan.19. Western Michigan Is Basically A Miniature NetherlandsYoull probably know the Vandermeers, Van Deidens, Vandermolens, Van Winkles, Vanderwildens and Van Amedes, all on your street. The Dutch were also responsible for launching the well-known CRC (The Christian Reformed Church) in Michigan.20. Bimbo Bakery Smells Like HeavenNothing beats the fresh smell of baked bread, and no place is better than the Bimbo Bakery on 28th Street in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Its the headquarters for Sara Lee Bread and other baked goods, so no wonder the smell draws people in like flies. Bimbo Bakery is king.21. Detroit Lions Fans Are Very FaithfulYou'll never insult a Detroit Lion. Even if the football team's sucking huge, keep your mouth shut. They'll stare at the TV and pray that the team gets at least one field goal. Just one.22. How To Do A "Michigan Left""Michigan lefts" are inevitablein that there's no avoiding them. Its really nothing more than a fancy U-turn on a highway with a median. They're convenient, but remember: The point of a "Michigan left" is so that you can turn left on a street. That's all.23. Getting Locked In Is Actually AwesomeMore commonly on the western side of the state, youth groups with their hayrides and lock-ins are a plethora and abundance. You ride in the back of a truck with a bunch of hay, and then you and your kids will get "locked" inside your church for the night to "sleep over." Let's not forget those fantastic Michigan apples at the local orchard to pick the morning after.24. You Won't Need a Car on Mackinac IslandIt may be the only island in existence allowing horse carriage rides throughout the region and no cars. None. There will be taxis, but that's about it. You will, in fact, have no choice but to leave your car at Mackinaw City to take the ferry to the island.
Today we strolled around the city and collected some caches. This was the third one, enjoying the view TFTC
First day in New Zealand . To stretch our legs, we go for a walk on the quays, then inside the city to discover it. We will not fail to look for a few caches on our trip, Geocaching being part of our trip. Thank you to all the installers for the work carried out for our greatest pleasure. Greetings from France. Trip to New Zealand decided very quickly , but that did not stop us from preparing a small file of caches to search, as far as possible. The GC46 is, of course, at the top of this list! Not quite as large as I was expecting but the hide is great with the cache top making a perfect fit. Deserves a favourite point.

#4140 Today is day 29 of my geocaching vacation in New Zealand. I'm wandering around Auckland and geocaching.Found it! Gorbygorbachov, thank you for the cache! -crystaloops from Taipei, Taiwan on October 29, 2024 @ 12:51:24[GCAVNHY] The Land of Milk and Honey was a D1.5/T1.0 Regular Traditional Cache at the time of finding.
Visiting from hawkes bay for the long weekend. A nice stroll around this area to grab the 4 new caches since we were here last. A nice evening apart from the wind. Not many spots for a cache of this size so was easily spotted.Thank you Gorbygorbachov for placing this cache.Log signed as B&PFind number 5326
Out for a morning walk with my work colleagues as we enjoy our bonus 24 hrs in Auckland on the way home from Tonga. I realized as we walked around the pier that this would be a likely spot for a cache. Clever hide. TFTC Mrs Fergzter
Id caught the bus in to town t for a farewell of a colleague. After saying my goodbyes I headed back down to get the bus home. This cache was too close to ignore so I headed down the wharf which was very quiet today and made a quick find.
Very nice one. This is my first cache in NZ! I'm super excited! Thank you for the cache and also for all the sightseeing suggestions
TFTC Busy port day today. Managed to retrieve and sign whilst being hidden by delivery vans before heading back to Royal Princess cruise ship.
It was all quiet here as I strolled up the pier - a nice change from the bustle further along where the cruise ship is. l love the ingenuity of this cache - thanks GorbygorbachovI took this opportunity to drop off Wicked Wisdom Geocoin who has been trying to get to NZ since 2016
That was fun. You need to tell me what GL stands for??There was a TB in there from Oregon, which is where I'm from so I left it to continue its journey around NZ.
M, J, and G mini adventure to Auckland. Quick find by J. Signed log as TBA. TFTC
Was in town for a gathering of like-minded football fans, gearing up for the inaugural game of our new club Auckland FC (first game on Saturday 19th!) but had a few minutes to pass before it kicked off so stopped in here on the way. There was a crane type thing parked in front of GZ but no issue with retrieval and replacement. They must have given up looking for the bees honey high up and missed it down low. Thanks for the sweet-as cache!
Didn't get to this one yesterday, so made a point of coming back today. Glad I did as I really liked this cache. A favourite added.TFTC and the cornucopia.
TFTC. A big mobile platform trolley was parked right next to it but fortunately nobody was using it so it was a quick find.
Was the last day of our long weekend holiday having spent it all out of Auckland. Debating what we should do with our Monday off. Mrs NZT had ideas of house chores... BORING... I suggested we pop into town for some urban caching which we both liked as well as finding lunch somewhere..... She AGREED!!!!.This was the first cache after lunch. There was a muggle having a smoke directly around the corner from GZ. We had to do a sneaky retrieve and sign the log remotely. Again a sneaky stealthy return of the container and we were on our way.TFTC Gorby
Our second for the morning. A great spot for a cache. What a shame the restaurants around here have closed down. But, yes Auckland is a great place to live. Thanks for the reminder and the cache, Gorby.
Out to find some recently placed caches to get the September equinox souvenier. This was the first on the list to find. Love the camo. A fav from me. Thanks for hiding Gorby.
After a month of in and out of hospital with Junior cacher, mostly in.... we were lucky enough to have his carer come into hospital so we could manage a date night out for a few hours, so after some dinner, we headed down here for a bit of seeing the sights....and caching.Last one for the night....need to get back to relieve the carer..... Signed in just on darkness.TFTC.
Oh no forgot to log this last night once we had gotten back to our hotel. Decided to grab a geo car (Lime Scooter) and do a quick cache after dinner and holy moly. Found with Elliot13. TFTC
After finishing up at the office this afternoon I decided to take advantage of the break in the rainy weather and head down to the waterfront to find the four newish hides down this way. This was my second stop. This turned out tome my fastest find of the day. Nicely hidden. Cheers for the cache placement!
Just been out for the dinner so decided we would hit a couple of caches while the city where not being busy little bees. Simple wee cache thanks for the cache. Cheers Elliot13 found with aalis_01
I'm in Auckland for a couple of days and for a change it has nothing to do with work (up the Irons!). So I've got nothing to stop my caching activities except being limited to public transport. Maybe I'll spot a Yeti with his very distinctive coat (GCAT2T2). (I didn't but I know he was up the front there somewhere).A fairly well educated guess on approach and it paid off! Wind almost sent container into the receptacle nearby. All good here, and thank you to Gorbygorbachov for the placement of your Traditional Cache.Find #7100 at 17 September 2024 9:43am
What a cool little cache hiding away here. Was on wrong side to start but soon had it it in hand. Tftc
Nice quick find. Clever hide. Water in container but cache signed. Thank you for the placement.
In town early so no muggle issues. Cache fits the name and non geocaches wouldnt notice it for such a large inner city cache. Unfortunatly log is wer and cache has water. Drained it best i could but may need some maintance. Signed as ham waterproof log helped but even that wont save the log shett. Loved the bame of cache well worked in.
Out and about with Pyphant today, enjoying the nice warm spring sun and the view of the glittering waves at Wynyard Quarter. I always love being in this area, so I was pleased to see that a few new caches had come up. We combined finding these nice new caches with an equally nice lunch afterwards. We were also very pleased about the broken bridge , as it gave us the opportunity to use the replacement ferry. Wonderful. Perfect day. This was our first find for the day, and it was a quick and easy walk by and grab.We didn't see a TB in the cache, though. Thanks for hiding and maintaining. Tftc
Out and about again, left Perth on a trip to USA and Canada. We stop briefly at Sydney and Auckland (New Zealand). Caching time is limited so trying to get as many as muggle family will allow without a mutiny on my hands. Got into Auckland late afternoon and had a walk along the harbour. This cache is find number - 16372.Thanks to Gorbygorbachov for the caches I have found.
Up in Auckland for a bit of time outThis was our first one up hereSneaky wee hideNice quick find empty the water out signed & returnedThanks
Bapgirl and I have a bit of time to kill tonight since our flight has been delayed, so we're finding a few caches around the city. This was our second find of the evening, and it was a nice easy one. I initially mistook the cache for a whole lot of water, but thankfully, I was wrong. Sneaky little hide here, TFTC!
Helen got this one bit soggy inside signed this one and returned, fair few workers around today. TFTC
I'm now back in NZ, having spent the last couple of months in Europe, and today I'm traveling to pick up my car that friends have been looking after in my absence. This means experiencing the wonder that is the Auckland Transit public transport system. But seeing as I have all day to get to them, and it's a beautiful winter's day with blue skies and a reasonable temperature I figured that I'd have a good wander around Auckland CBD, which is a rare thing for me so there are a good number of caches for me to find. This cache would end up being a little frustrating. No fault of the cache, but rather when I got close to GZ there were a bunch of workers standing around having a smoko break, which went on for about 10 minutes before they left and I could make the find. Having done that, I then opened the cache to discover an absolute mess inside. I'm not sure if someone had put some milk and honey in the cache but there was a glutenous mass of white liquid which was covering everything including the log. So I tipped out the contents and cleaned off the log as best I could. I wish I'd had access to some water to clean the container out properly but I didn't, so the next finder will still encounter some residue. Thanks for setting this one up.
Happy International Geocaching Day! Found it in dark and used my phone not the GPS and finally ended up at the edge of the wharf so was a little bit spooky. I had to redirect myself to the cache location.I'm logging this hide as my 10717 find. Many thanks Gorby for a placement.
Well that lunchtime stroll was well worth it! Its a stunning day at the waterfront and I dont walk this part of the waterfront much so I happily explored this beautiful place. After a nice quick find I treated myself to a humongous salad at Wahlburgers. Thanks Gorby for another great adventure.
M26: dot day today, figured I'd find this one before I head west to work, went to the wrong place and found it after a few moments. Nice and easy, log all good and signed here. TFTC.
Decided to go for a quick wander after work to get some air and this cache seemed like a good excuse.Upon arriving at GZ I spotted the cache immediately, and made the retrieve, with no muggles around due to the threatening rain. The cache had over an inch of water in it, so I emptied it out and dried the log. Tftc, a fun find. #1802
Took a train into town as had a free day, to find Gorbys latest caches in Downtown! This one was nice and easy, thanks! Now to tackle the other two!
Don't worry people about the wet contents, that problem anticipated. Paper should always be OK to write on! (Don't quote me on that...lol.).
**#21,735**(FTF) **FTF FTF FTF FTF FTF **It's been a good haul of FTF's for us this afternoon/evening, managed to get 4 out of the 6 at Flat Rock and 1 out of 2 in Glen Innes, we then checked the inbox of email notifications to see which other one's have not yet been logged, this one in the city center we were not sure about earlier in the day, but now that it's after 6pm most of the hustle and bustle should have died down, it didn't take too long to get the van parked right outside GZ for a quick find and a crisp blank log sheet. Thanks for the fun Gorby.
