Thank you for hosting this geocaching Event! The date of the Event has passed. We automatically archive Events after 30 days (60 days for Mega- and Giga-Events). Attendees can still log archived Events, log trackables, and share their experiences.
Thanks Budgietas for holding this event. Now that my calendar and streak are completed, I can just cache for the fun of it. Your CITO Event cache, CITO - Nutgrove Beach, was just what I needed to get me out of the house and exercising. This is my find #2054 at 10:33 on 29/9/2024. FTF: Found with: lots of othersWeather: fairMuggles: noneLight level: goodCache condition: goodDistance from GZ: Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
It was great to get out and do another cleanup around Hobart the weather was less inviting with a strong wind but the beach was very clean and really very little rubbish was found even though we did some decent searchingThank you to everyone who attended some good conversation as well as some great cleanup
The weather held off long enough for a small "elite" group of geocachers to make this beach almost perfect. Thanks for organising Budgie. Good to get moving after the special win of the Lions in the AFL yesterday!!!!
Either the good folk of Sandy Bay keep this area clean them selves or the crazy wind blew all the rubbish away. There was not a lot to be found, but we still left the area cleaner than when we arrived. Afterwards, I enjoyed a short walk with The Hancock Clan followed by a nice coffee and chat. I was tempted to just stay in bed but this fills another date in my CITO calendar, and earnt me two souvenirs (that nobody will see - to quote Ably)Thanks Budgietas
Thanks for organising the CITO Budgietas. I don't often get to attend CITO events as it always seems to clash with something else, but today I was free to attend. The GeoGSP's also attended, so thanks to everyone for putting up with GeoGSP No 1's anxious barking. There was a strong breeze coming off the river which wasn't ideal - but typical of spring in Hobart. The beach was very clean and very little litter was found - very tidy people in Lower Sandy Bay!
Plans changed this weekend and we ended up staying home. Well, not really home as such, but around the local area, which meant we were able to attend this event. Nice to catch up with a few friendly faces before venturing off a little further afield for the day. Thanks for organising the event Budgie!Cheers,The Hancock Clan
Won't be able to make this event as I'll be leaving for the north of the island around 07:30.
