Thank you for hosting this geocaching Event! The date of the Event has passed. We automatically archive Events after 30 days (60 days for Mega- and Giga-Events). Attendees can still log archived Events, log trackables, and share their experiences.
Attended and got there about an hour early so headed to the Reading Room. But then we saw the notification saying that we were actually being held downstairs in the study area and cafe. Nice to catch up as always and a bonus that the warmest night so far was inside. Tfte!!!
To any people in the library who happened to be studying during the event time, I deeply apologize for any disruptance that may have been caused!Made some killer puzzle progress here, helps to be stupid when the CO is right next to you! Some of the greatest pictures of all time were snapped here also, but I shall keep them secret since I have plans. Thanks to C10A for hosting this event! Lovely to be inside for once, particularly since it was raining outside!
Well, it has been about 40 years since I was last in this building. My Dad was doing some research on Howard Hughes' Spruce Goose.Certainly, an interesting location for a gathering of a group of people who aren't very good at being quiet, LOL!
Another Cosmic Quest event among many was on the agenda for EthisEthat and I this evening as we ended up arriving a little early (perhaps the free car parking at this hour was simply too alluring for the Astra). We spotted some familiar faces in the entrance area before heading off in search of the fabled cafe which we weren't very good at finding, on account of it being shut.Instead, we wound up in a nice and quiet area with several seats on offer which we retreated to instead and were soon joined by even more familiar faces who had also decided to venture down here and relocate the event. The studying taking place by various members of the public beside an event's worth of people not exactly sticking to inside voices bordered on cringeworthy, although we did end up hanging around to see the event duration through. The library is certainly a nice location, but I wouldn't mind the next gathering in its vicinity taking place outside, no matter how cold! Thanks to C10A for hosting this event!
A very quick catchup tonight, and an excellent location to avoid the rain. Thanks for the event C10A
Thank you for the event C10A!It goes to show we all love a warm event ????I brought a book and my laptop but at the end we had a chance to do what we all love: talk geocaching with other geocachers ??????
A nice warm location in the depths of the National Library. I was amazed how many others were there doing studies. Plenty of banter and catch ups with fellow cachers in a lovely quiet location within the library. Many thanks to C10A for the event and location .

Lots of cachers at the event tonight. It is such a beautiful building and I love the bookshop. Thanks for organising C10A??
I am really enjoying the unique & new locations that people are coming up with for events, this should be a more common thing to do rather than using the same locations, keeps it fun! Although Ive been in this library a couple times, including for a pesky puzzle, I havent been inside here for a VERY long time! The whole place looked different, I remember it being quite old and outdated, but now it seems to be a bit more inviting! Thanks to the pre-event announcements, I managed to quickly locate the group. Tried to keep our voices down whilst people studied nearby! Thanks for hosting
A lovely setting for an event and plenty of parking with little or no traffic. Great that there was a good crowd to share information and ideas. Well done! See at your next event. With thx ?? C10A !
#22522 @1800I dropped by here on my way to another event. A welcome indoors location to gather on a wet evening. Thanks for the event.
Attended this neat event with minniek at a fantastic location here in Canberra.Another in the Cosmic Quest Event list - and my favourite location so far ! Well done to C10A on this bold spot. Did the rounds chatting to everyone in the warmth, then watched the presentation (duty cameraman) and finally showed off the new GeoMobile to a few people who were leaving at the same time as us.Thanks C10A !! A very well done Event !
Chooo ooo [Attended]! Nice to catch up somewhere dry and warm! Thanks for organising C10A!
Good to have an event inside today, as it was drizzling when we finished. For some reason people started leaving around the time the event started, as they had come much earlier. But some stayed and it was as always great to talk all things caching. Great place for a public event if it is cold and wet outside. Thank you C10A for putting this event on and organizing it all.
Attended with Czechboy14 and MilesMorales2 Once the directions were followed correctly we found the happy bunch tucked away downstairs merrily chatting together. A quick hello here and there and we were on our way. Thanks for organising the event.
I really need to make sure that I have one hour warnings on my phone rather than ten minutes. I met the CO and signed the log on my way downstairs. There was a really good turn up and I enjoyed a good chat with some of my fellow cachers. Thanks for organising yet another get-together for us all C10A
Great event. Don't think I have ever been down to this level. I'll have to come back for sure. Thanks to all for hints for all my recent dnfs
Lovely event after work, I never expected to do so much talking inside a library! Really pleasant place to meet. Chatted about a variety of topics, travel plans being a code theme to vastly different types of conversations. TFTE! Oh, and well done to 'Signal' for their award!
Dear GC CommunityI had a very low week last week, but the human connection and comments for my two events on Sunday and Monday have boosted my mental health. Thank you for attending and all the positive comments.I look forward to our next community get together.Christien
Its rare to have a geocaching event in a library, especially the National Library! I should make it after work
Oh, I popped in here for ten minutes one day last year, perused the books on the 'new books' shelf, and left again. I'm so excited to have an excuse to come back again!
Warm .... did I see the word WARM in the description?I will be there. Will we have to whisper?
This will be the first time in thos building and my first time in a library in 30 years
