I have been rather busy lately and haven't managed to go out caching in a few weeks. Running a few errands around midday, in this general area, today, so I decided to collect a couple of hides first. This was my first stop. I parked up and made the short walk back to ground zero. Took me a while to get in the right spot once near ground zero as the phone kept sending me in the wrong direction. Once in the right area it was a quick find. Cheers for the cache placement!
We recognise this area as we have visited here previously for caches. Today gz was a slightly different area. We soon spotted the hint item and then the well camouflaged container. Thanks G2 for another cache with excellent camo. FP given
Time for another cache hunt on the Shore to turn all the new caches into Smilies. A lovely sunny day to be out in the company of Tufty and Team Welsh. We've done a few caches near this water tank over the years. Really enjoyed this one - the hide and the well camoed container. Adding a Favourite point.
TW, KC and I have been at this location a few times over the years. A nice view from up here.Cheers for the cache, G-2.
Found a few different caches here so parked up around the corner and headed across the road. Soon found the hint item referred to and then the nicely camoed cache. Love all the recycling that has gone into this cache. Thanks
Love this container here!Have been here a few times over the years for geocaches here!Favourite Point.
Saw this potential FTF on the map when we got in the car to head over this way for a car maintenance course....ummm how come it hasn't been picked up as yet?? Lets go! With the geo-kid driving I had to contain my excitement at the potential to allow him to concentrate on the drive. However along the way I saw a find pop up....we missed it by about 10 mins!! Oh well, lets find it anyway. Got to GZ and looked around and found the cleverly camoflaged cache - nice one! Thanks for the cache - a fav point for the adventure and the camo.
We were caching near the airport/ Mangere area and geoboy mentioned there was a newly published cache that still had no finds. Where was it? Oh, halfway across Auckland on the shore! As geoboy was so excited, we decided to make the 30 min drive in the rain to gz. There was no one around on this rainy Sunday afternoon and soon found the clever hide! We loved the effort put into the container and camo, so a fav point for this one, as well as this being one of our only FTF!! TFTC
