Had the use of my sister's car today (and the next week and a half), so came up the scenic Dr and parked up at the top on Scenic Dr. Brought along on my e-bike which was quite easy to do from the Scenic Dr down to the dam then along the flattish pathway to GZ. I have replaced the no good cache with something more 'Gorby-ish) shall we say... something a little bit heavy, round and long. All good to carry on people.

All good to go.

Replacing the cache tomorrow, have the use of my sister's car for the next 2 weeks, so will take my e-bike along, and ride downhill to the cache and replace it with something MUCH better.

After last nights thunderstorm, the weather forecast looked good today so I decided to head out for a hike around Cascades Kauri Park, doing a clockwise loop from the carpark, an area that I've always enjoying walking. This unusual cache was a quick find at GZ. I see that the cache is now disabled, I've started hiking regularly in the area again, so can put in something different if you want. TFTC!

It seems I haven't made an excellent choice for the cache! So when I get chance, I'll return and replace it.

MrsJAG joined up with fellow geomates Tramyard, Rusty,Lumin and Flossieteacake on a wonderful Wednesday to find the caches in the Cascades. We signed the logs as JAVASS - made up from our real names!Reading the cache title for this cache we joked about signing it as Tramyards day out with the ladies. We got to gz and was glad that it was Wednesday today and no muggles at gz, and not many muggles along on trail. Once at gz we soon discovered the hiding place for the cache, but didnt really want to touch the cache. One of us bravely picked it up and signed our team in here. TFTC

Caching the Cascade Kauri loop (clockwise) as part of a group of 5 cachers today, signing all the logs as JAVASS (an acronym of our first initials). This was the 11th cache we found today.Apologies to the CO if my initial log for this one came off a bit too harsh. I have a few concerns about a used vape being used as a cache container but the CO has let me know he'll rethink the container choice. A beautiful spot in the forest like this deserves an equally great cache rather than a piece of junk that has no place in such a precious area. Thanks for placing one here though. Smile(#2388)

When we found this one I decided that maybe we should rename the cacheArk's treemendous day out with the ladies. We spent longer trying to work out what the cache was, than it took to find it.The log was signed JAVaSS.

Logbook signed asJAVASS.TFTC!

Is it tramyards day out with the girls "or" the girls day out with tramyard hmmm ?Many pictures taken at this spot, a glimpse of the dam, which turns out to be our last look as we head away from the water.Continue to love this walk, amazingThanks gorby for the hide and the adventureAnother fun find, to save on logging space we are using a team name JAVASS (each letter our real world initials - (rustynz, jag50, tramyard, flossieteacake and lumin298)(Juggling all vehicles advancing slowly south)

A solo excursion for Mr Coblet.I have been looking forward to walking this track for a while now and had the added bonus today of lovely weather and some new caches to find, some of them being potential FTFs.After claiming a FTF on supernannny's nearby cache I headed along the fence line track enjoying the serenity and the early morning light. I hear this track can be quite busy so decided a 7am visit was needed to enjoy it in peace..Once at GZ I checked a couple of places before spotting the nicely concealed hide, and what an interesting container too.I opened the log and was pleased to see I was First to Find, my second today.Once the log was signed I took a moment to enjoy the view. This is a great spot to stop and rest if you have been walking for a while. But I was only just beginning my walk and continued on my adventure. Thanks Gorby for the placement, sounds like your day out with the girls was a lot of fun and I understand why, this is such a beautiful area. {FTF} 7:35am
