I saw this puzzle come out and took a brief look before chucking it onto the 'too hard try later' basket. However, I reckon I was mostly scared of the difficulty rating.Sure enough, when I checked the puzzle next, I tried something that I originally though of but never executed, and upon testing the output, some lovely coordinates appeared!Wow, that was easier than I thought, love it when the first idea I have works! From there I was intrigued by the GZ location, damn I was just there!Swung by today and sure enough the cache was exactly where described conforming to the T1 principle!Logbook signed, cache returned, and off I go!From there we investigated this corner of town, it's a rather strange place isn't it?Thanks for the puzzle and cache domsky!
With the numbers finally making sense it was a short detour to the calculated coordinates. Cache found, log signed and replaced without issue, specifically from the nearby residential devil hound and owner. TNLNSL TFTC
I often look at puzzles that are visually just a jumble of characters on a page and groan, but this mystery is quite deceptive! When I started to concentrate on it more, I realised it was less of a headache than it originally seemed! I made good progress with it, but a tool I used decided to give me a slightly incorrect value at one stage. Not sure why, literally no explanation for it other than the computer was wrong. Thankfully I still had enough info to solve the puzzle & double checked with the CO for the digit I was missing.I swung by the final cache today on my way home from kayaking on the lake! A familiar location, Ive been here several times before! All good with the hide Thanks domsky for the fun
Today fitzy_1965 and I headed into Canberra to attend Mr Hunters Birthday celebration. To fill in some time beforehand, we did a bit of caching.A nice puzzle which fitzy worked on for us. And an easy find at GZ.Thanks domsky
Found with minniek during a mini excursion around Canberra prior to attending Mr Hunters' Quarter Century event.A leisurely morning saw us lounge around home for a while before heading into Canberra early afternoon. We wanted to cherry pick a number of caches before the event, and this one was on our list. The perfect puzzle for me? Knew what to do, did the hard yards, got through another layer, went through the possibilities, and there was GZ ! Yay. And a much needed DT as well. So we parked pretty close to our GZ for a quick time find. Awesome all round. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one. Thanks domsy !! A FP for sure !
A lean and simple puzzle, which didn't take long to solve. Today a quick collection of the final at GZ. I thought for some reason I needed to fish here but once at GZ the hint set me straight and could SL. Thank you domsky for putting the cache out, maintaining it and contributing to this great hobby we have. Happy trails, Flintstone's-()-IW-
Great to get this cache as it takes me one more time round my D/T grid.many thanks for puzzle. TFTC
A fun puzzle solved a few days ago but had other activities planned for the day. While heading to the markets early afternoon it was a perfect opportunity for a retrieve. The cache is in a lovely location and we enjoyed the short stroll to GZ in beautiful Winter sunshine. TFTC domsky!
A very nicely constructed puzzle here. I had absolutely no idea what to do with it initially and needed a hefty shove from the very helpful CO to make progress. Finally some words starting popping out of the equations, and I was eventually able to derive the final co-ordinates.Today a very quick find of the well-placed container at GZ; all in great condition. Thanks, Domsky - that was lots of fun. A favourite from me!
*FTF* with Fox in Jox at 11:55.I was on the tram back from the city. I stared at the information on the cache page. I tinkered with some ideas. Some things started to jump out at me.I got home. Soon the solution was staring me in the face. I got my bike. I headed out again, putting the bike and my person on the tram. To get this cache.I messaged Fox in Jox (who had solved the puzzle separately in an Excel-lent fashion) when I was close, and he joined me at GZ. Blank log got unblankified. Pity that pants people couldn't join us, for he had also solved the puzzle.Time for coffee? Yes.Thanks for the puzzle and the geocache, domsky.
*ftf* with ZQX @ 1155.Saw this published and checked it out. Had some initial ideas, then dashed off to do some other household things. By the time I returned, ZQX and pantspeople were busy colluding on ideas. I jumped into Excel and created a spreadsheet - surprise, surprise. Then dashed off again.I returned again. Pantspeople made good progress by having cracked the 'in'. All I needed to do was confirm the solution with the spreadsheet (kind of redundant really, but it made me feel like the effort was worthwhile ).Pantspeople couldn't make the dash, so ZQX and I met at gz for a quick sign. Then off for a coffee with geopartner in Kingston. TFTC Domsky
#22509 @1350This cache came out during this morning's orienteering at McQuoids Hill, which took me nearly 2 hours going around and over a couple of times. By the time I'd finished, pantspeople, ZQX and Fox in Jox, had already solved the puzzle, and those who could make it had found the cache. As soon as I was able, I worked through the solution and then dropped by GZ for a quick find. TFTC.
